Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get a hard copy of 808s & Heartbreak with the album cover featuring Kaws’ artwork. While the two versions of the album’s cover are not that different, it’s Kaws! While the general public may not be familiar with his incredible work, his street art and designer vinyl figures are some of the most sought after pieces in their respective industries. The guy is uber-creative and everything he releases either on his official internet store OrigianlFake or distributed by a third party retailer sells out immediately. But mark my words, one day I will finally get my hands on a Kaws Darth Vader vinyl figure.
The Naked Man works!
This is going to revolutionize the one night stand.
This is like the forward pass in football, the slam dunk in basketball, the haircutting technique where they hold it between their fingers and cut right above it.
It’s a total game changer!

The answer is...Zachary Quinto! He was first featured on the October 24, 2008 issue's cover next to Chris Pine as the stars of the upcoming film Star Trek and the very next week he was featured as one of the cast members of the television show Heroes on the October 31, 2008 issue's cover. I’m a little shocked that in 18 years the weekly magazine had never before featured the same entertainer two weeks in a row and then they decide to do it with an actor who although his star is definitely on the rise, has really not had much of a career to date. While not significant in any way, it is a pretty cool fact. I just hope this fact isn’t one of his greatest achievements when this great young actor’s career is all said and done.

Kidrobot’s 4th annual holiday 3 inch Dunny comes out today, and to be honest The Blot is not really feeling this year’s figure. Designed by Chuckboy, the 3” doe-eyed deviant Reindeer Dunny rewards nice kids with his removable bull whip and vinyl antlers. While the Dunny its self is just ok, the figure's accessories are awesome. What could have made this figure so much cooler is if the Reindeer had been flocked. Who wouldn’t want a cuddly, furry Reindeer to add to their Dunny collection!?!

What I really want to know is how long Santa has been a fan of the X-Men? Or maybe it's eBoy that's a fan of Marvel Comics' preeminent team. Either way, there’s no other explanation The Blot could come up with as to why eBoy would so blatantly “model” the symbol on Santa’s chest after X-Force’s fearless leader Jamie Madrox's (a.k.a. the Multiple Man) signature logo.
Multiple Man has been sporting his unique chest emblem for decades (as you can see in the pictures here) and it look remarkably like the pattern on Santa’s red coat. Maybe there’s more to the story here…maybe Santa is really just one of Madrox’s dupes. That would explain how jolly old Saint Nick can be so many places at once. All Madrox would have to do is send out an army of duplicates every Christmas Eve to deliver presents to all the little boys and little girls across the globe.

The world absolutely needs Woo Girls.
If there were no Woo Girls, there’d be no Girls Gone Wild,
no bachelorette parties, no Las Vegas pool side bars.
All the things that you hold dearest Lily would be gone.
The souvenir shot glass industry would collapse. So would the body glitter industry, and the stretch hummer rental industry.
Tiny cowboy hats would be worn only by tiny cowboys.
And when “Brown Eyed Girl” would come up on the jukebox all you would here would be silence…and “Brown Eyed Girl.”
But who would woo Lily, who would woo?
Would you? Would you…woo?
It seems like we have a full on Jamie-Lynn Sigler renaissance going on right now. Between playing herself on Entourage earlier this season and now her appearance as Woo Girl #1 on this week’s episode of HIMYM, Ms. Sigler is back on the small screen and better than ever. Hopefully this will lead to more guest appearances on some of The Blot’s favorite shows. Because really, who couldn’t use more Meadow Soprano!?!

This latest set of Watchmen character one sheet movie posters blows away the previous set of character movie promo posters released last August. While the original character posters were photos of scenes taken directly from the Watchmen comic books, this set has more of a big budget movie feel to it. The marketing team has also done another fantastic job incorporating quotes from the movie into the posters. They have definitely built upon what The Spirit character movie posters started and taken it to a whole new level.

This City Is Afraid Of Me
I’ve Seen Its True Face.
Everything about these new Watchmen teaser one-sheet promotional posters that pair a quote from the movie with a pivotal scene are really great. I thought The Spirit did a good job using quotes on their posters, but I think the Watchmen quotes have a lot more gravitas to them. I’ve included the first one below just so you can compare the two, but you can click here to see what I originally wrote about the one-sheet below.
Justice Is Coming
To All Of Us.
No Matter What We Do.
Watchmen premieres on March 6th, 2009.
If you saw Quantum of Solace this past weekend then you got to see the newest trailer for the upcoming DC Comics movie Watchmen directed by Zack Snyder. The trailer is absolute genius, and was so good I almost cried. True story. Now I’m kind of worried about what the effect the actual movie will have on me. Watchmen is an amazing story and is so much more than your typical heroes in spandex narrative. Thankfully, the movie appears to be living up to the high standards set by the comic book series way back in 1987. You can watch the newest Watchmen trailer below or go here to see a much larger version.
There are three teaser clips for Sunday’s episode floating around on YouTube right now, but The Blot refuses to watch or post them here because I really want everything about Robot Chicken: Star Wars Episode II to be a surprise. I’m really stoked (is that still a word?) Robot Chicken decided to do this again and can’t wait to see what George Lucas lets them get away with this time!
The SugarHill Sessions EP offers listeners a chance to hear the pure heart of the music of What Made Milwaukee Famous. It's just 5 guys in a classic Texas studio with guitars, piano and simple percussion, performing their songs in one take. No bells, no whistles, no overdubs. Called "the Abbey Road of the South", SugarHill is the oldest continually operating studio in Texas. Having played host to the likes of Lightnin' Hopkins, Johnny Bush, and Willie Nelson, SugarHill has been quietly contributing to the musical legacy of Texas for the past 67 years.What Made Milwuakee Famous – The Sugarhill Sessions EP {MP3 .zip}
Today’s comic book inspired designer vinyl figure colorway is the only one included in this week long series that has yes to come out. Over the past two or three years, Muttpop has become almost as well known for their amazing colorways as they are for their Lucha Libre vinyl figures. Tequila, the first Lucha Libre character released in vinyl form, has a huge year ahead of him with 3 to 4 different colorways set to be released. Of course it is Tequila’s Pop Culture colorway that really has The Blot excited..jpg)
Where’s Waldo Tequila?
Can you spot the two Tequila Pop Culture Edition figures in the picture above?
As you can see from the picture below, Tequila’s Pop Culture colorway is based on the Marvel Comics super hero the Incredible Hulk’s color scheme of green skin and purple clothing. I warned you it was a popular colorway!++2.jpg)
Every Tequila figure released to this point is already sold out, but with so many different colorways coming out in the next year getting one of the new Tequila figures shouldn’t be a problem. No price or run size for the Tequila Pop Culture Edition figure has been released yet, but what is known is that there will be a hard to find Tequila Pop Culture variant colorway created as well. I’m still trying to find out if the variant figure will be randomly inserted blind box style or if it will be sold separately in extremely limited quantities. The Pop Culture variant figure is rumored to be based on another popular character but whether it is based on a hero or a villain is anyone’s guess.
