LOKI Screen Print by Anne Benjamin x Mondo x Marvel Studios

If you follow The Blot on social media, then you know I’m pretty distraught over what Funko has done to Mondo over the past few weeks.  First they let go of half of the staff, including the three primary creative directors of the company (including two company founders) and much of the staff supporting Mondo’s print division.  Then their CEO released a super tone-deaf press release trying to spin how they've basically killed what Mondo was to justify the cuts, which appears to have been caused by Funko's overall poor quarterly report. For all intents and purposes, the Mondo we all knew and loved is dead. RIP!

That being said, there are still a few prints that were so far along in their process that art is still coming out. Like this fun new Marvel Studios poster for LOKI by artist Anne Benjamin. Originally designed as a poster, the artwork was first released as the cover artwork to Mondo’s LOKI: original Soundtrack Season One 3xLP they previously released. There are three Variants to this new MCU poster, so watch out for the TVA!

LOKI by Anne Benjamin is a 36”x24” hand numbered screen print.  The Regular Edition is limited to 215 pieces and will retail for $60, the Lamentis Variant is limited to 140 pieces and will retail for $85, and the TVA Variant is limited to 140 pieces and will retail for $85. Mondo and Black Dragon Press continue their fantastic collaboration today with a new movie poster for Satyajit Ray’s 1955 debut masterpiece, Pather Panchali, by artist Anne Benjamin! As Mondo explained, “There are many reasons why we love working with BDP, and pretty high among them is their eagerness to work with high caliber artists on films that are not always the most obvious contender for limited edition, silkscreen posters — but that are no less important to the tapestry of popular culture or film history. This next project is no different.”

Mondo is teaming up with Hanna-Barbera to release a new series of epic screen prints based on H-B’s iconic cartoons The Flintstones, Yogi Bear, Tom & Jerry, Jonny Quest and Hong Kong Phooey! The Blot honestly just can’t believe it took this long for this collaboration to happen. The entire series drops at a random time today, December 4th, at the Mondo online store, and features designs by Dave Perillo, Andrew Kolb, Anne Benjamin, Matthew Woodson and Drew Millward.
