NYCC 14 Exclusive “Spidey Morales” Spider-Man Print by kaNO

New York Comic Con 2014 is almost here, and kaNO is bringing the heat once again this year! Continuing with his theme of Marvel comic book inspired art debuting at NYCC, kaNO will be releasing this awesome “Spidey Morales” print featuring the Ultimate Spider-Man, Miles Morales! Awesome, right!?! I love the juxtaposition of classic Spider-Man artwork in the background (from Amazing Spider-Man #158) with kaNO’s unique take on the new school web-slinger. “Spidey Morales” can be purchased exclusively at the Art Whino Gallery NYCC booth #104.

“Super Jerkio” Super Mario Print by Jerkface

New York based artist Jerkface just spent a few very cold days outside in Brooklyn painting the epic Super Mario mural you see below. The design is entitled “Super Jerkio”, and is a killer mash-up of Nintendo’s main man with Jerkface’s signature jerks. The Blot loves how this piece looks like the NES froze on Super Jerkio mid jump. That old school 8-bit pixilated look brings back some memories!

While the original “Super Jerkio” painting this mural is based on is no longer available, fans can now pick up their very own “Super Jerkio” print exclusively at the Art Whino online store for $100! Printed on 16"x18.5" archival somerset velvet paper with archival giclee inks, “Super Jerko” comes signed and numbered and is limited to just 30 pieces.

NYCC 12 Exclusive “Ghetto Blaster” Transformers Print by kaNO

Man, kaNO’s been dropping some seriously ill pop culture pieces lately! My jaw literally dropped when I first saw “Ghetto Blaster” show up in kaNO’s Instagram timeline. Inspired by Transformers Generation 1, kaNO goes old school in this New York Comic-Con 2012 exclusive print featuring Autobot Blaster and Decepticon Laserbeak. I always love seeing kaNO reinterpret classic super heroes and Transformers using his unique art style. Add in his trademark ghetto vibe to “Ghetto Blaster” and you’ve got an instant classic on your hands! It doesn’t hurt that Blaster was my favorite G1 Transformers, and I’ve still got the original tape playing action figure hidden somewhere at my parents’ house.

The New York Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive “Ghetto Blaster” Transformers print by kaNO will be available for purchase at Art Whino’s NYCC booth #3203. Any remaining prints will be available for purchase through Art Whino’s online store after the convention.
