El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie One Sheet Poster by Netflix

While Disney spent most of last weekend’s D23 Expo hyping up their upcoming Disney+ streaming service, Netflix refused to go away quietly. So they took the opportunity announce one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood – that Netflix had teamed up with the creators of Breaking Bad to release, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie! The film is a sequel to Breaking Bad and continues the story of Aaron Paul’s Jessie Pinkman after the events of the Breaking Bad series premiere. The rumor is Bryan Cranston’s Walter White will even be making an appearance in the film. How rad is that!?!

El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie will premiere on October 11th exclusively on Netflix. Until then, check out this awesome El Camino one sheet movie poster promoting the film.

Better Call Saul Season 4 Television Poster

Argh!!! The Blot totally forgot that AMC’s Better Call Saul returned this week and I didn’t set my new DVR. Thankfully AMC replays episodes of the Breaking Bad prequel/sequel throughout the week. So while I haven’t seen the Better Call Saul Season 4 premiere yet, I’ll be able to catch it later this week. I cannot freaking wait! For those of you that have seen it, what did you think? The television series’ season 4 poster is pretty ominous, which I assume does not bode well for Mr. Saul Goodman.

SDCC 2018 Exclusive The Walking Dead & Better Call Saul Bobble Heads by Royal Bobbles

Record Store Day recently announced their long list of RSD 2015 exclusives, and The Blot was super excited to learn that our friends at SPACELAB9 were releasing a 7” single of the Better Call Saul theme song by Junior Brown! The Breaking Bad prequel is one of The Blot’s favorite television shows on air right now, and I love that SPACELAB9 has teamed up with AMC to release the theme on vinyl. The single’s Side A is Junior Brown performing the Better Call Saul theme song, while Side B is an instrumental version of the song.

The Record Store Day 2015 Exclusive Better Call Saul Theme Song 7” Single Vinyl Record by SPACELAB9 is pressed on black vinyl and limited to just 1,000 pieces. Darth Buddha Star Wars Resin Figures by Random Skull Productions

As you all probably know by now, The Blot loves all these killer pop culture inspired bootleg Buddha resin figures hitting the designer toy scene lately. One of my favorite of the bunch is this awesome Darth Buddha by Random Skull Productions, which is a mash0up of the classic Buddha figure with Star Wars’ Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader. What’s great about this release is how perfectly in scale Darth Vader’s head is to the Buddha body.

To date, Random Skull Productions has released a number of Darth Buddha colorways, but this Friday they are dropping two can’t miss editions! First up is the “Breaking Buddha” Series (inspired by Breaking Bad naturally), which is limited to 10 “Blue Sky” Darth Vaders cast in translucent blue resin. This awesome figure comes packaged in a resealable blister with a custom backing card. Then there’s The Spirit of Darth Buddha, which is limited to just 8 opieces cast in a semi-transparent black/gray resin. This movie accurate colorway will come bagged with a header card.

Funko and Super7’s ReAction retro action figure line is taking an interesting turn in 2015 as it adds a number of modern television series licenses to its extensive line-up. It’ll be interesting to see how these new TV shows will look recreated in ReAction’s old school sculpts. For one of their first ReAction releases of the year, Funko and Super7 are releasing these awesome Breaking Bad action figures. At first The Blot thought AMC’s iconic series would look terrible as 1980s Kenner-style action figures, but now that I see the toys I realize how wrong I was! They’re very reminiscent of the many Breaking Bad bootleg resin figures designer art artists have been releasing lately.

Breaking Bad ReAction Wave 1 includes “Episode 1” Walter White, Jesse Pinkman, “Cook” Walter White, “Cook” Jesse Pinkman, Heisenberg, Gus Fring and “Dead” Gus Fring.
