Impostor Clear Red & Black Edition Resin Figures by Colus

After making their debut at Designer Con 2018, Colus Havenga has finally released online these two beautiful new colorways of his awesome snake resin figure, Impostor! Available in a killer Clear Red and Clear Black editions, each version of Impostor is limited to just 15 pieces and stands a whopping 8” tall. These translucent pieces seriously look incredible! The Clear Black is available now and the Clear Red is available for pre-order with shipping planned for January 2019. Colus’ Designer Con 2017 Resin Figure Exclusives

Colus is doing Designer Con 2017 right with four epic resin figure exclusives set to drop this weekend in Pasadena! There’s Deer Crossing – a beautiful 8”h x 5”w x 5”d piece – which will be available in a Black Edition and a Black and White Edition, both limited to very small run sizes. Then there’s the chicken Tabuh Rah – a perfect companion to Colus’ previously released Kidrobot collab Ravenous – that measures 9”h x 6”w x 8”d. It is available in a White and Red Edition (LE 4) and a Black and Gold Edition (LE 6).

Next up is the Impundulu Matte Black Edition resin figure, which is just beautiful. Last but not least is the Hareball, which is two rabbits entangled in love and hate. Ravenous Resin Figure by Colus x Kidrobot

To celebrate Halloween 2017, Kidrobot will be releasing this super sleek Ravenous medium resin figure by Colus! Impundulu Resin Figure by Colus

South African artist Colus Havenga, the master of black and white art and design, has recently self funded his very first resin figure Impundulu and it is freaking awesome! Impundulu (or Lightning Bird) is a mythological vampiric bird creature from South African tribal folklore. This mythical creator can take on many forms, including a rooster like bird the size of a human. Believed to be a servant of witch doctors, Impundulu seduces woman, and can summon thunder and lightning from its wings and talons. How has there not been a designer art toy of this amazing creature before!?!

Impundulu by Colus is a 7” resin figure in glossy black and limited to just 55 pieces. Each figure comes signed and numbered by the artist, and is currently available for pre-order via the Colus online store for a very special introductory price of $140. Impundulu is scheduled for a mid-September release where the price will go up to $150.

The Hunted 8” Dunny by Colus

We’re only 3 months in and 2013 has already been an excellent year for Kidrobot! While not exactly perfect, the designer toy company has released some really cool, original figures. Just look at this awesome new 8” Dunny The Hunted by Colus. Springboks are the nimble protectors of the southern plains of Africa. Once revered, they struck fear in the eyes of enemies big and small. Springboks kept peace in the land for many generations until they were declared “traitors of the plains” by the new king. A bounty was set for their heads, and so the legendary tale of survival began. They were now trophies, they were now… The Hunted.

This epic 8” vinyl version of “The Hunted” Springbok features curved horns, perked pointed ears, and has a super glossy sculpted wood grain trophy plaque mounted around its neck as if a platter for his bulbous head. The striking graphic “black-and-white-only” design style of South African born artist Colus make this Dunny a splendid prize indeed.
