World War Gee: The Green Zombie 8 Inch Custom Dunny Vinyl Figure by Huck Gee

The fourth and final custom 8” Dunny in Huck Gee’s hugely popular World War Gee Series drops this Friday, and you definitely won’t want to miss this one! The final WWG release is based on Huck’s third Zombie Dunny design from Kidrobot’s Dunny 2011 Series. This Green Zombie Dunny is an 8” handmade custom of that very production 3”design, and features a BRAINS sign, fuzzy flies, stained undies and glow in the dark eyes, bones and ribs.

The final World War Gee outbreak begins this Friday, August 8th, at 1pm PDT via the Huck Gee online store for $450. The Green Zombie Custom Dunny will be available for 24 hours only, with the figure’s limited edition run size set by the number of orders placed in that timeframe. Each figure comes signed and includes all of the accessories show here.

World War Gee: Grandpa McGrizzled Custom Dunny by Huck Gee

World War Gee: Grandpa McGrizzled 8 Inch Custom Dunny Vinyl Figure by Huck Gee

Huck Gee has announced the third custom figure in his undead series World War Gee, and it’s The Blot’s favorite design so far! Based on Huck’s Grandpa McGrizzled design from Kidrobot’s Dunny 2011 Series, this figure is 8 inches of pure unadulterated, post zombie apocalypse, chainsaw wielding, shiny skull buckled, steel toed, boomstick swinging, white bearded badassery! The best detail of this custom is definitely the sawed-off Zombie Dunny hand stuck to McGrizzled’s ear (just like the one its production 3” counterpart had).

The third World War Gee outbreak begins today, Wednesday, May 21st, at 1pm PDT via the Huck Gee online store for $575. The Grandpa McGrizzled Custom Dunny will be available for 24 hours only, with the figure’s limited edition run size set by the number of orders placed in that timeframe. Each figure comes signed and includes all of the accessories show here. Boy do I want one of these so freaking bad. Happy hunting!

Kidrobot Dunny Series 2011 Official Checklist with Ratios

Kidrobot Dunny Series 2011 Official Checklist with Ratios
click on the picture above for a more detailed look
All across the globe designer toy collectors will be gathering in stores tonight for the official release of Kidrobot’s Dunny Series 2011! Fans are already proclaiming Dunny Series 2011 Kidrobot’s best series in years, and The Blot tends to agree with them. I love the mixture of established artists and up and coming talent in this series, and the ratios aren’t too terrible (although good luck getting your hands on Huck Gee’s Zombie Hunter with a ratio of 1/200). Kidrobot is also trying something new with DS2011, instead of a Golden Ticket there’s a CnC (Collect and Connect) Dunny. This means there’s one piece of a Dunny included in each blind box. From what I’ve heard it’s a Skeleton Dunny designed by Kronk, and it’s not complete until you’ve found the figure’s heart.

The Blot’s heading to Domy Books here in Houston tonight for its Dunny Series 2011 Release Party, and I hope to see you there! If you’re not in southeast Texas, click here to see if there’s a Release Party near you. And don’t forget to print out Kidrobot’s official Dunny Series 2011 Checklist, which lists each Dunny design’s artist and ratio. Happy hunting everyone!

Kidrobot Dunny Series 2011 - Standard Zombie Dunny Colorway by Huck Gee
Standard Zombie Dunny Colorway by Huck Gee
Kidrobot is counting down to the release of Dunny Series 2011 on June 23rd by spotlighting a different design from the series every day on the KRonikle. While we’ve known the artist line-up and which designs would be included in the series for a long time now, it was the announcement of 2 different case incentive Zombine Dunnys by Huck Gee that really got the designer toy community talking. Expect to pay a pretty penny if you want to own all three versions of this lurked-out harbinger of the undead!

The Americas Edition Zombie Dunny Colorway by Huck Gee
For the last three Dunny blind box series releases, Kidrobot has given away for free a special colorway of a figure from the series as an incentive for collectors to purchase a case of blind boxes at the series' release party. These rare colorways have been pretty popular, but you know interest will hit an all time high with DS2011’s free figure being designed by Huck Gee.

Fans can’t get enough of Huck’s work, and you know flippers are going to have field day with these case incentives, especially now that we know there will be an Americas Edition Zombie Dunny colorway AND an International Edition Zombie Dunny colorway. At least the standard post-apocalyptic 3” Zombie Dunny by Huck Gee has a ratio of 2/20! As you can imagine, the Americas Edition Zombie Dunny will be available in North, Central & South America, while the International Edition Zombie Dunny will be available everywhere else but the Americas.

Also, you can snag an alternate monotone version of Huck Gee’s Zombie Dunny for free with the purchase of a case of Dunny Series 2011 at Kidrobot retail stores, Kidrobot.com, and select retailers worldwide. Plus, Paul Budnitz and Aya Kalkeda will be in attendance at the Kidrobot NY release party promoting their new book “Hole in the Middle.” No word yet if the “Hole in the Middle” Dunny you see above is a Series 2011 mystery figure, a special release for the book signing or something different altogether (Golden Ticket anyone?). First Look: Dunny Series 2011

First Look - Dunny Series 2011 Checklist and Ratios

In case you haven’t seen this yet, here’s the first leak of Kidrobot’s upcoming Dunny Series 2011 (with ratios included). The Blot’s REALLY excited about this series because Kidrobot has included a number of designs by popular artists from the designer toy community who have never had a figure produced by KR before. There are so many artists who create truly amazing work in our toy community, and it’s great to finally see some of those names included in a Dunny series. The visibility and notoriety an artist receives through their inclusion in a Dunny series is unrivaled, and I’m glad so many new artists are getting the opportunity to share their work with the world.

From the small photo above, I’ve been able to make out designs by DrilOne, Squink, Le Merde, 64 Colors, Travis Lampe and Besto. I am also pretty sure two of the Dunnys on the bottom row were designed by MAD and the Dunnys in the bottom right corner were designed by Huck Gee. Who else can you spot in the leaked photo above???
