The Rainy Day Antagonist Resin Figure Kickstarter Project by Evilos

The super talented artist Evilos has designed his first designer art toy, The Rainy Day Antagonist! This is a character Evilos came up with a very long time ago when rainy weather would cause all sorts of delays to his many custom toy projects. Evilos doesn’t have a traditional indoor studio like many other artists (he works outside), so he has to rely on the great southern California weather to get his work done. The Rainy Day Antagonist personifies the feelings that swell up inside Evilos on those unproductive days.

Although the 3D sculpt of The Rainy Day Antagonist has already been created, Evilos needs your help to turn this epic design into a reality! To that end, Evilos has launched The Rainy Day Antagonist Resin Figure Kickstarter project. The KS project has only been live for a few short days, and it’s already 100% funded. Pretty awesome, right!?! That should come as no surprise since Evilos has a growing legion of fans who devour his steady flow of amazing custom figures. Now here’s your chance to get your hands on the very first original Evilos resin figure at a super discounted price!

The Rainy Day Antagonist resin figure stands 4” tall, comes in a blank DIY white colorway, and will be shipped in five pieces for easy customizing. A pledge of just $30 gets you one RDA DIY resin figure, while a pledge of $150 gets you a fully painted RDA resin figure. But that’s not all, there are pledge levels from $5 to $500 with all kinds of really cool rewards. Stretch goals are already in the works, which will unlock Clear and Glow in the Dark Rainy Day Antagonist DIY figures. R2-D2 Star Wars Custom Mega Android Vinyl Figure by Evilos

The Blot doesn’t blog about customs near enough, but I couldn’t ignore this freaking beautiful R2-D2 custom Mega Android by Evilos! For years now Evilos has been creating amazing Star Wars and Disney inspired customs, and he went all out with this spot on R2-D2 Mega Android. What’s even cooler about this release is it just might be the world’s first custom using the new 9.75" tall Mega Android DIY Figure.

This custom took weeks of painting and is 100% airbrushed using a ton of 3D and masking airbrush techniques. You can really see all the effort Evilos put into this custom! But that's not all, the figure actually lights up and even has sound! R2-D2 comes alive with the use of an RF remote as Evilos has once again mashed paint with technology. This amazing custom Android is currently available for purchase via auction on Ebay here. The auction is only live for 8 more days, so don’t sleep on this epic one of a kind creation.

DCon Exclusive Breaking Bad Custom Android by Evilos

Evilos has created a very limited run of Breaking Bad themed custom Androids for Designer Con 2013 using Monster Kolor Paints. Limited to just five pieces, each custom will depict Breaking Bad’s iconic bee logo of the series’ fictional industrial chemical manufacturing company Golden Moth Chemical. Each Designer Con 2013 Exclusive Breaking Bad Android vinyl figure will also include a free t-shirt hand screened by Evilos. Pick one up from Evilos DCon Booth #421 for $75.

DCon Exclusive Empire Strikes Back Luke Skywalker Custom Star Wars Vinylmation Figure by Evilos

Evilos is dropping a pretty sweet custom Star Wars Vinylmation figure entitled “NOOOOOOOOOO!!!!” under the Star Rars: Evilos Strikes Back banner at Designer Con 2011 next week. If you can’t tell from the photo, this is a custom Empire Strikes Back Luke Skywalker Vinylmation figure, minus his right hand courtesy of Darth Vader. While the figure is awesome in its own right, what I really love about this release is its custom packaging!

I’m a sucker for custom blister card packaging and Evilos did an amazing job with this one.  From the blister card photo depicting the Vader/Skywalker showdown on Bespin to the perfectly diagramed hole in the top so these could be sold on a j-hook, everything about this blister packaging is perfect. If I had one complaint it would be that the custom’s Mickey Mouse Vinylmation's ears were cut in half so the figure could fit in the blister pack. While I would have preferred for the ears to have remained whole (unless their being cut signified some particular purpose), I’m ok with it because of how cool the blister card packaging is.
