One of The Blot’s favorite parts of San Diego Comic-Con is when Marvel Studios releases concept art teaser movie posters for its upcoming films. This year Marvel released this epic SDCC 2024 Exclusive Deadpool and Wolverine concept art poster by artist Andy Park! It features Ryan Reynolds as Deadpool and Hugh Jackman as Wolverine in battle. As Park explained on X, “Every brush stroke on this poster was done with a grin on my face! Leading the Vis Dev team on this film was a dream come true in so many ways. LFG!”

SDCC 2022 Exclusive Black Panther: Wakanda Forever Teaser Movie Poster by Marvel Studios

Marvel Studios made some huge announcements during their Hall H panel yesterday at San Diego Comic-Con 2022, but all anyone is talking about is the new teaser trailer for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever. Soooo many exciting things came out of that trailer, including the live action movie debuts of Namor and Ironheart! Black Panther 2 will also mark the ending of the MCU’s Phase 4. To get fans even more excited, Marvel Studios has released this Black Panther: Wakanda Forever teaser one sheet movie poster. I am really interested to see what kind of tribute the film includes to the franchise’s star, Chadwick Boseman. The film will premiere on November 11, 2022.

This year Marvel released this epic SDCC 2022 Exclusive Ant-Man and The Wasp: Quantumania concept art poster by artist Andy Park! It features Paul Rudd as Ant-Man, Evangeline Lilly as The Wasp, and Kathryn Newton as Cassie Lang (aka Stature!) and Jonathan Majors as the villain Kang! This was a huge Comic-Con for Majors coming out of his debut appearance in Loki as it’s now clear that Kang is the central villain of Phase 4 and Phase 5 of the MCU. Here’s hoping Cassie becoming a super hero leads us to the Young Avengers! Ant-Man 3 is going to be nuts!

SDCC 2022 Exclusive Clerks III Movie Poster by Matt Taylor x Kevin Smith

To celebrate the upcoming release of Clerks III in theaters, Kevin Smith and the ViewAskew crew have a lot of exciting things planned for San Diego Comic-Con 2022! That includes this spectacular SDCC 2022 Exclusive Clerks III movie poster by UK artist Matt Taylor! As Smith explained, “if you stop by the Lionsgate SDCC booth on the Convention Center floor to take pics at the Quick Stop Groceries counter, you might score a signed poster or a Clerks 3 bag! (Limited quantities available each day)” The director will even be making sporadic appearances at the booth so fans can take pictures with him at the booth! The Blot would absolutely kill for a screen print of this fantastic movie poster by the UK artist.

Star Wars: Obi-Wan Kenobi Streaming Series Character Posters

This weekend – to coincide with Star Wars Celebration Anaheim 2022 – Disney+ debuted the first two episodes of their newest Star Wars streaming series, Obi-Wan Kenobi! To promote the television show’s first two episodes, Disney released this fantastic set of Obi-Wan Kenobi Character Posters featuring Obi-Wan Kenobi, the Grand Inquisitor, the Third Sister (Reva), the Fifth Brother, and Haja Estree. What really makes these one sheet character posters special is the way it incorporates the twin suns of Tatooine into each of the character’s eyes with the looming presence of the Dark Lord of the Sith, Darth Vader! What did everyone think of the first two episodes of Obi-Wan Kenobi!?!

The Goonies Screen Print by Drew Struzan x Bottleneck Gallery

JAWS 3D Lenticular Movie Poster by Bottleneck Gallery

Today, Bottleneck Gallery and Vice Press are teaming up to release BNG’s third 3D lenticular movie poster – JAWS!  Originally created by Roger Kastel, the JAWS movie poster is one of the most praised and recognizable movie posters of the 20th century. Roger’s initial painting was used for the book cover of Jaws, and then later adapted into the legendary movie poster, which is now getting the lenticular treatment!

There will be two versions of this lenticular movie poster release:  Classic Movie Poster and Art Print.  Each of those will be released in two different editions: a thinner (1mm), flexible PET lenticular print mounted on dense paper backing; and a thick lenticular print (4mm), akin to plexi-glass, called polystyrene. BNG calls this one Lenticular Plex for differentiation.

The JAWS 3D Lenticular Movie Poster measures 24”x36” and includes a hand-numbered COA with BNG hologram of authenticity. The 1mm Movie Poster will be a timed edition available at 12pm EDT today, Tuesday, October 6th, through 11:59pm EDT on Sunday, October 11th, and retail for $100.  The Lenticular Plex Movie Poster is limited to 450 pieces will retail for $200.

Back to the Future Part III Screen Prints by Drew Struzan x Bottleneck Gallery x Vice Press

Today, Bottleneck Gallery and Vice Press are taking us on a trip back to the future! They’re teaming up with legendary movie poster painter Drew Struzan to release a limited edition screen print of his iconic poster art for Back to the Future Part III! This is an officially licensed print for Robert Zemeckis’ third movie in the Back to the Future trilogy, where Doc and Marty go back to the Old West.

As a special surprise, BNG and Vice Press are also releasing a print featuring Drew’s alternative concept for the Back to the Future Part III movie poster. This rare gem of an image wasn’t chosen by the studio during the movie’s original release, but it’s a piece of Back to the Future history that is finally being released for the very first time. Yesterday, Marvel Studios released the first teaser trailer their upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, Black Widow! This prequel film officially kicks off Phase 4 of the MCU. Scarlett Johansson looks amazing as Natasha Romanoff as always, but wow – how cool is it seeing David Harbour in the classic Red Guardian costume!?! El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie One Sheet Poster by Netflix

While Disney spent most of last weekend’s D23 Expo hyping up their upcoming Disney+ streaming service, Netflix refused to go away quietly. So they took the opportunity announce one of the worst kept secrets in Hollywood – that Netflix had teamed up with the creators of Breaking Bad to release, El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie! The film is a sequel to Breaking Bad and continues the story of Aaron Paul’s Jessie Pinkman after the events of the Breaking Bad series premiere. The rumor is Bryan Cranston’s Walter White will even be making an appearance in the film. How rad is that!?!

Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years Character Movie Poster Set

These epic Marvel Studios: The First Ten Years character movie posters came out a while ago, but The Blot decided to sit on them until the release of Avengers: Endgame (and was that movie amazing or what!?!). What better way to pay tribute to Marvel Studios’ unrivaled 10 year run with 22 mind blowing movies than with the release of this insanely huge set of one sheet movie posters featuring every major super hero from the Disney film franchise? It’s just too bad Captain Marvel was not included in the set since her film made it into MCU Phase 2 just under the gun. Rumor is Spider-Man: Far From Home will be the official end of Phase 2, but I’m not sure how you could possibly top Endgame – and why would you want to? Spidey 2 should definitely be the official start of Phase 3, don’t you think?
