Collectors can purchase this limited edition exclusive directly from Leecifer at his DCon booth #1413. This wild sofubi stands 8”, features multiple points of articulation, and comes bagged with a colorway specific header card.

It’s been way too long since we’ve had a proper PickleBaby release, and thankfully that drought ended yesterday when Leecifer teamed up with Skinner to release a very special micro run of The Blot’s favorite alien gherkin! While this “Cursed” PickleBaby looks fantastic, just remember one thing…do not remove its necklace! As the old children’s rhyme goes, “Don't remove it's leash or the pickles feast on we, the baby grows from small to big and takes us one or three. So keep the sigil, keep the sign, it keeps the beasts away, for if it falls from off its neck, it kills us all today!”

SDCC 13 Exclusive Unpainted Purple PickleBaby Vinyl Figure by Leecifer

Wow, Leecifer’s PickleBaby is back and this time he’s being produced in beautiful soft Japanese vinyl. After a couple of awesome hand painted releases in resin form, Leecifer self-produced this crazy looking vegetable monster. PickleBaby is actually an alien that crashed into an abandoned cucumber field where the deceased farmer was buried with his last crop. So nearly vaporized, PickleBaby fashioned a new body from the farmer’s remains and the freakishly giant pickles readily at hand. If you look closely you can still see some of his alien DNA present in his right leg.

For PickleBaby’s first vinyl release Leecifer will be releasing a dark blue unpainted colorway in honor of Dragatomi! The San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Dark Blue PickleBaby stands 8” tall, is limited to just 20 pieces and can be purchased at Dragatomi’s SDCC booth #5350 for just $60. And if you visit Leecifer during his signing at Dragatomi’s booth from 3-5pm on Thursday he’ll have some APs of the next color or two and some custom 1 offs available for purchase as well!

Super Hero PickleBaby Resin Figures by Leecifer

One thing The Blot and Leecifer have in common is our love of super hero inspired colorways and customs! For years Lee has blown me away with his super hero customs, especially his many Batman themed figures on a number of different platforms. I’m even lucky enough to have one in my collection! So it should have been no surprise to me that Leecifer would have a number of super hero themed PickleBaby colorways in his art show with Paul Kaiju “Bat Butts and Goat Guts” that opened last night at Dragatomi.

Lee’s PickleBaby resin figure made its world debut at his show last night and there were at least four awesome super hero inspired, one of a kind figures. You know Leecifer is a fellow comic book fan in that he named each figure by the character’s secret identity! There’s the Batman PickleBaby “Bruce”, the Iron Man PickleBaby “Tony”, the Swamp Thing PickleBaby “Alec” and the Green Goblin PickleBaby “Norman”. Are these awesome or what!?!?

All of the figures seen here, plus so much more, was first made available for purchase at the show’s opening on Saturday, October 13th, at 7 pm. Any remaining pieces will be available for purchase through the Dragatomi online store at noon PST on Monday, October 15th.

First Look: PickleBaby Resin Figure by Leecifer

Next month Leecifer will be debuting his brand new resin figure, PickleBaby! This new figure from Leecifer is pretty crazy looking, but it does a great job showing off his unique art style. PickleBaby came from five hundred gazillion light years away to give you a hug, and perhaps an anal probe! Standing 8.25" tall with magnetic articulation at the arms and neck, the injured alien fashioned a body out of the first Earthly organic matter he came in contact…a cucumber and the bones of the hapless farmer buried there.

Maybe it’s just me, but a figure this wrong just feels so, so right! The Blot’s really excited about PickleBaby’s use of magnets for articulation, and can’t wait to see one of these new resin figures up close. Your first opportunity to purchase a PickleBaby will be at Leecifer’s joint art show with Paul Kaiju entitled “Bat Butts and Goat Guts” at Dragatomi on Sunday, October 13th. The show will include a Dragatomi exclusive hand painted run of PickleBabies plus a number of one-offs perfect for the Halloween season.
