NYCC 16 Debut Resin Is King Blind Box Series 3 by Tenacious Toys

After way too many years, Tenacious Toys’ epic Resin Is King blind box series is back!!! This all-resin, all handmade series of art collectibles features pieces by 10 of the most talented artists working in resin today. This exciting new series will debut this weekend at the Tenacious Toys New York Comic Con booth #309 in The Block! Each of the 10 artists in the series has submitted 10 pieces to be placed into 100 total blind boxes.

The artist roster for the Resin Is King Series 3 includes Magitarius, Jacob JAMS, Angry Artist, Taylored Curiosities, Forces of Dorkness, UME Toys, The Jelly Empire, Argonaut Resins, Dead Hand Toys and Mike NEMO Mendez. Every blind box will include a 3” resin figure, a sticker and an insert card. A few boxes will also contain Golden Tickets good for discounts in the participating artists' shops, in the Tenacious Toys shop, and other free resin prizes.

Each Resin Is King blind box will be $30 and they will be available exclusively through Tenacious Toys. At NYCC there will be a few pre-opened figures on display which can be swapped with figures purchased at the booth - if you like one you see in their case better, Tenacious Toys will give you that one and stick the one you pulled into the case. Leftover blind boxes will be made available online in the week following NYCC.

Later today, Selina Briggs will be releasing these dapper looking Frankenbot JellyBot resin figures, which are sure to be the hit of any Halloween Party. Has a robot ever looked so spooooooky!?! Limited to just 10 pieces, these hand painted Frankenbots will be doing the monster mash over in The Jelly Empire’s online store at 12pm EDT today, Wednesday, October 28th.

The Jelly Empire x Argonaut Resins Valentine’s Day “Love” Tuttz Resin Figures

In honor of Valentine’s Day, The Jelly Empire has customized six of Argonaut Resins’ iconic full sized Tuttz resin figures! These beautiful “Love” Tuttz stand 8” tall and come hand painted by The Jelly Empire. The Blot really loves the way she mixed a variety of different red and pink paints on these pretty Egyptian kitties, which really makes the silver/gold accents pop. Collectors can purchase a “Love” Tuttz now at The Jelly Empire online store for $150 each.

NYCC 14 Exclusive Doctor Who Eleventh Doctor Tuttz & Amy Pond Jelly Bot Resin Figure Set by The Jelly Empire

After a much too long hiatus, The Jelly Empire is back with some amazing New York Comic Con 2014 exclusives! While everything The Jelly Empire creates is adorable and great, The Blot especially loves this year’s pop culture crossover set with Argonaut Resins. After a number of killer comic book inspired sets, for NYCC 2014 The Jelly Empire went with a Doctor Who theme! This set includes an Eleventh Doctor Tuttz Mini and an Amy Pond JellyBot. MoCCA Exclusive Steampunk Gentlebot, Playbot Bunnies & Cosmic JellyBot Resin Figures by The Jelly Empire

This weekend at the MoCCA Festival in NYC, The Jelly Empire will be debuting three new collections of her popular JellyBot resin figure! First up is the Steampunk Gentlebot, which is limited to just 5 pieces and includes a dapper looking staff. Then there’s the Playbot Bunnies, two blondes and two brunettes, who are ready to get the party started with each including its own tray of drinks.

Last but not least are these sparkly Cosmic JellyBots! These translucent resin figures accidentally swallowed up stars and nebulas on their way to Earth for a really cool effect. Limited to just 10 pieces, these glittery JellyBot tints look fantastic! All three JellyBot series will be available for purchase from The Jelly Empire booth #C24 this weekend at the MoCCA Festival April 5-6th from 11-6pm EDT at the 69th Regiment Armoury 68 Lexington Avenue (25th Street) New York. Any remaining pieces will be uploaded onto The Jelly Empire online store next week.

Jellyzillas Resin Figures by The Jelly Empire

The Jelly Empire is set to drop her first release of 2014 and it’s killer! Well, city killer anyway. The Jelly Empire’s JellyBot resin figure is back, and doing a little cosplay as everyone’s favorite kaiju, Godzilla! These colorful little monster JellyBots go on sale at 1pm EST this Saturday, January 25th, at The Jelly Empire online store for $40 each.

Holiday 2013 JellyBot Resin Figures by The Jelly Empire

Selina Briggs of The Jelly Empire has been hard at work on two very special holiday releases for 2013! First up is a pretty cool set of JellyBot Waterless Snow Globes. Selina has created 4 of these creative customs, with each snow globe containing a festive JellyBot and tons of glitter. The Jelly Empire’s second Holiday 2013 release is this Christmas inspired set of Micro JellyBot Reindeers.

Limited to just 4 pieces the Micro JellyBot Reindeers will retail for just $20, while the JellyBot Waterless Snow Globes will retail for $45 each. All eight resin figures seen here will go on sale at The Jelly Empire online store tonight, Thursday, December 5th, at 9pm EST. Be there or be square!

JellyBot Plush Figures by The Jelly Empire & Shlii Kawaii

Selina Briggs of The Jelly Empire has teamed up with Jaclyn Ashley of Shlii Kawaii to create an awesome set of JellyBot plush figures! These adorable little guys stand 9" tall and were completely handmade by Jaclyn. Six plush JellyBots were created in all, with four featuring festive hats and scarves perfect for the holiday season. Pick one up at The Jelly Empire online store on Tuesday, November 26th, at 10pm EST for $35 each ($40 for a JellyBot plush with the hat and scarf).

Batman, Robin & Nightwing JellyBot Resin Figures by The Jelly Empire

Earlier this month Selina Briggs of The Jelly Empire was asked to participate in a pretty cool designer toy and comic/illustration art exhibit at the Medialia ... Rack And Hamper Gallery in NYC. For the group show Selina created these awesome DC Comics Jelly Bots! The Jelly Empire has been creating custom superhero Jelly Bots for a while, but I especially love this Batman Family wave that includes Batman, Robin and Nightwing. As far as The Blot knows this is the first Nightwing Jelly Bot ever created and it looks fantastic. Contact Medialia for availability of these little, hand painted resin figures.

Pumpkin Micro JellyBots Resin Figures by The Jelly Empire

The Jelly Empire is having a special Halloween release tomorrow, which includes a variety of Halloween themed prints along with a small run of 5 Pumpkin Micro JellyBots! Are these guys cute or what!?! These guys are seriously perfect for the Halloween season. NYCC 13 Exclusive Justice League JellyBot Resin Figure Series by The Jelly Empire

Following The Jelly Empire’s epic The Avengers JellyBot Series at MoCCA Festival back in April comes the Justice League JellyBot Series! For New York Comic Con 2013 Selina Briggs has created an incredible set of handmade, hand painted DC Comics themed resin figures comprised of Justice League Jellybots and Pies. There’s JellyBot versions of Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern and Hawkwoman and Pie versions of Martian Manhunter and The Flash. These turned out fantastic! Collectors can score these awesome figures at the Argonaut Resins NYCC booth #325.

The Avengers JellyBot Resin Figure Series by The Jelly Empire

This weekend is the annual MoCCA Festival in New York City and once again Selina Briggs of The Jelly Empire will be there with a booth. For the event Selina has created an incredible set of handmade, hand painted Avengers themed resin figures! This Avengers Series is a mix of Jellybots, Jellybot 2.0s, Pie and the very first Jelly 4.0 dressed as your favorite Marvel super hero. There’s a Captain America Pie, and JellyBot versions of Iron Man, Hulk, Thor, Hawkeye and the Black Widow. Pretty cool don’t you think? She even made character specific accessories! My favorite part is that Selina went with comic book versions of all six characters, so we got each hero’s traditional look. The Blot’s especially loving the Hawkeye JellyBot!

The Avengers JellyBot Series by The Jelly Empire will make its debut at the MoCCA Festival in NYC on April 6-7th at the 69th Regiment Armoury. Each figure even includes its own custom packaging! Selina will be sharing table #C90 with Argonaut Resins so be sure to head over there this weekend to say hi and pick up some sick resin figures.

Green Arrow & Black Canary Tuttz & Jelly Bot Resin Figure Set by The Jelly Empire

You probably remember the awesome Batman Villains Tuttz and Jelly Bot Sets that The Jelly Empire released at New York Comic-Con last year. What you may not have seen is this awesome Green Arrow and Black Canary set she also released! The Blot really loves this set, including how Selina used Black Canary’s new modern era look. Marvel and DC’s B list characters never get as much love as their A list counterparts get, so I’m always excited when an artist decides to make colorways featuring characters that might not be household names. Although with how well Arrow is doing on The CW, Green Arrow may be considered an A lister someday soon. Unfortunately this Argonaut Resins x The Jelly Empire Tuttz Mini and Jelly Bot resin figure set sold almost immediately upon release at NYCC 2012.

Bruce Lee Themed Tuttz & JellyBot Resin Figure Sets by The Jelly Empire

Tomorrow The Jelly Empire is set to drop two all new Bruce Lee inspired Tuttz Mini and JellyBot resin figure sets! First up is a very cool Green Hornet set, which includes Argonaut Resins’ Tuttz Mini as the Green Hornet and the JellyBot as Kato (as portrayed by Bruce Lee in the ‘60s Green Hornet television series). The Jelly Empire’s second release is the Game of Death set, which features both a JellyBot and a Tuttz Mini sporting Bruce Lee’s trademark yellow and black tracksuit from the hit 1972 movie of the same name.

Robo Jelly LoveBug Resin Figures by The Jelly Empire

Last week The Jelly Empire surprised its fans by releasing a very special Valentine’s Day inspired release. Selina made two adorable Robo Jelly LoveBug resin figures that are sure to put you in the mood for romance. Either that or they’ll just look awesome on your toy shelf! I love the addition of little antennas that really give these JellyBots that LoveBug look. 

Only two Robo Jelly LoveBug resin figures were created, and both retailed for just $25 through The Jelly Empire’s online store. Unfortunately both were purchased almost immediately upon release! But don’t worry, there are lots of other goodies still available through Selina’s new webstore.

Christmas Themed Tuttz & JellyBot Resin Figure Sets by The Jelly Empire

Christmas 2012 is almost here and The Jelly Empire has whipped up something very special holiday season! Teaming up with Argonaut Resins, The Jelly Empire is releasing two very special Christmas themed Tuttz and Jelly Bot Resin Figure Sets. First up is the Dr. Seuss inspired The Tuttz That Stole Xmas, which includes a Grinch Tuttz Mini and a reindeer Max Jelly Bot. What a fun idea executed to perfection!

Selina Briggs’ (of The Jelly Empire) awesome super hero inspired colorways continue with Super Jelly! This New York Comic-Con 2012 exclusive pays tribute to DC Comics’ Man of Steel, including sporting Superman’s trademark hair curl and his red cape and undies. Selina’s been teasing the release of Super Jelly for a while now, and these turned out great! And if you snag all of her DC Comics inspired customs at NYCC this year you should be able to create a pretty sweet display of Jelly Bots and Tuttz resin figures.

Resin is King Blind Box Series 2

The Resin is King Series is back and better than ever! Tenacious Toys and Dead Hand Toys have teamed up once again to curate an incredible new “Resin is King” blind box series featuring 16 talented artists. For Resin is King Series 2, each artist was asked to develop a new sub-3" resin figure and submit 10 pieces to the series using that sculpt. That’s 160 figures in all!!! The Blot honestly never thought we’d see a resin series to this magnitude, and it just shows how far the medium has come.
