Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Limited Edition Watch by Tristan Eaton x FLüD

Last weekend Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was the #1 film in America (unfortunately). To coincide with the film’s release, FLüD has dropped the second limited edition watch in their TMNT Watch Collection! For their newest timepiece, FLüD teamed up with acclaimed street artist Tristan Eaton for an original take on the Turtles’ archenemy, the evil Shredder. Tristan went with a very old school kabuki-styled theme for this Shredder design, which sports a red color scheme on a white case and band.

The Blot really enjoyed reading Tristan’s interview on the FLüD blog, where he touched upon his own TMNT fandom and his inspiration for this watch’s design. As Tristan explained, “From the comics illustrated by Mark Bode to the Saturday morning cartoons, TMNT have always had a prominent place in the pop culture of my youth. I've always had respect for the bad guys, so when asked to create a bespoke watch for Flüd and TMNT I immediately gravitated towards Shredder. I played up his Samurai aesthetic and created a piece inspired by ancient Japanese water color paintings.”

Last weekend Love Through Design launched an exclusive new Nooka x Sanrio watch collection designed by Tokidoki! The Blot’s not that familiar with the Cartoon Network’s award winning animated television show The Regular Show, but everyone seems to really love it. So I’m sure this next announcement is really going to get people excited! Vannen has teamed up with The Regular Show to produce a new line of limited edition watches based on the hit show. The first Vannen x The Regular Show watch dropped yesterday, and it a design based on the greatest band that never was…Mordecai and the Rigbys! This watch design is a tribute to the fan-favorite episode, "Mordecai and the Rigbys", which features the show’s main characters creating a fake band.

“Blue Sky” Heisenberg Skull & Crossbones Breaking Bad Figure by Tristan Eaton & Pretty in Plastic

As you’re all probably aware, tonight is opening night of Gallery 1988’s The Breaking Bad Art Project Group Show, and The Blot just found out there will be a total of three different colorways of the Pretty in Plastic x Tristan Eaton Heisenberg Skull and Crossbones vinyl figure released there! Originally designed for the Breaking Gifs x Vannen Breaking Bad watch (this image appeared on the back of the watch), the logo has been transformed into these killer 5”x6” Breaking Bad 3D sculptures.

We now know there will be a limited run of 40 pieces in "Hazmat Yellow", 40 "Black Lung", and 20 of the translucent blue “Blue Sky” pieces seen above! The yellow and black colorways will retail for $100 each, while the translucent blue will retail for $125 each. I don’t know about you, but I’ve gotta get my hands on one of these awesome pieces!

Each art piece are cast in a heavy-duty plastic, manufactured in Los Angeles by Pretty In Plastic, and comes signed and numbered. Pick one up today, Monday, August 20th, at G1988 (Melrose) at the Breaking Gifs Group Art Show from 7-10pm PST.

Pretty in Plastic just posted the photo above on their Instagram account. It’s the second colorway of the Heisenberg Skull and Crossbones Breaking Bad vinyl figure they’re producing with Tristan Eaton! And what’s more appropriate for the harbinger of death than an all black colorway!?! Might this also be available this Monday night (August 20th) at Gallery 1988’s The Breaking Bad Art Project Group Show? More details to come!

Originally designed for the Breaking Gifs x Vannen Breaking Bad watch (this image appeared on the back of the watch), Pretty in Plastic took that logo and created these beautiful 5”x6” 3D sculptures.

The first colorway of this awesome piece will be released exclusively at this weekend’s art show in “Chemical Suit Yellow” and has a limited edition run size of just 40 pieces. The Blot would love to get my hands on one of these, and I can only hope a translucent light blue “Blue Sky” colorway is in the works!
