Originally a Charlton Comics character, Captain Atom become a DC Super Hero when DC purchased the characters of Charlton in 1983. I was a little worried Funko would go with Captain Atom’s New 52 look, but this modern era Captain Atom Pop! this will go quite nicely with my Justice League International collection. While I don’t know when this 3.75” figure will go on sale, it will be sold exclusively at Amazon.

Bat Boy Pink Glow in the Dark Edition Vinyl Figure by Super7

After debuting at Wonder Con 2019 two weeks ago, Super7 has finally released on line the new Pink Glow in the Dark Bat Boy vinyl figure! S7’s signature PGID colorway is one of The Blot’s favorite, and it looks fantastic on Bat Boy. This 6” S7 mascot sized figure is cast in glow in the dark pink soft Japanese vinyl and features silver and red sprays. Collectors can purchase this cute vampire bat at the Super7 online store now for $60. But act fast as this handmade and hand painted figure is only available in extremely limited quantities.

Cyclops Print Works will be setting up shop at WonderCon 2019 this weekend where they will be releasing some really awesome exclusives. That includes this epic screen print for The Last Guardian video game by acclaimed artist Kilian Eng!

“The Last Guardian” by Killiam Eng is a 20”x30” hand numbered 18 color screen print with varnish finish. The Regular Edition is limited to 200 pieces and will retail for $75, while the Variant is limited to 125 pieces and will retail for $85. After debuting at WonderCon 2017 last weekend, Hero Complex Gallery has released this awesome new Akira screen print by Marko Manev! The Blot’s really loving this colorful new print based on the iconic 1988 anime film, which itself was based on the beloved ‘80s manga series. One little touch that I really appreciate is Manev’s inclusion of the film’s title block at the bottom making this a real movie poster.

Ghost in the Shell “The Major” Screen Prints by Craig Drake x Hero Complex Gallery

After debuting at WonderCon 2017 last weekend, Hero Complex Gallery has released Craig Drake’s beautiful Ghost in the Shell screen prints online! The regular edition “The Major” screen print is based on the new live action Ghost in the Shell film in theaters now starring Scarlett Johansson, while the Japanese variant “The Major” is Drake’s own person recasting of the film with actress Sonoya Mizuno in the lead role as Major Motoko Kusanagi.

The Ghost in the Shell “The Major” Regular Edition Screen Print by Craig Drake measures 36”x24”, while the Japanese Variant measures 24”x36”. Both versions are limited to 225 pieces and retail for $65. Collectors can purchase them both now at the HCG online store.

WonderCon Exclusive BunEwok & PiggiEwok Star Wars Plushes by Flat Bonnie

Flat Bonnie is heading to WonderCon 2016 and bringing with her some killer Star Wars inspired exclusives. Along with three new WonderCon exclusive colorways of her adorable BunEwok (that’s Flat Bonnie the Bunny cosplaying as an Ewok), Flat Bonnie is also debuting her newest creation, PiggiEwok! PiggiEwok is a Flat Cavy in cosplay as a resident of Endor. Those Stormtroopers won’t know what hit them when BunWok and PiggiEwok leap out of the tall Endor trees.

The WonderCon 2016 Exclusive BunEwok is a 12” handmade plush and will be available in 3 colorways: Wicket (Brown/Orange), Cream/Green, and the multi-color Logray which features a skull hoodie. WonderCon Exclusive “Ghoul Glow” Skeletor Soft Vinyl Figure by Super7 x Gargamel

Super7 will be at WonderCon 2016 this weekend (March 25th-27th) in Los Angeles, where the San Francisco based designer toy company will be releasing this killer WC exclusive Ghoul Glow Skeletor Soft Vinyl Figure! For this release, Super7 has reimagined the classic Masters of the Universe villain Skeletor as a 1980s Japanese soft vinyl figure, sculpted by the one and only Gargamel.

The WonderCon 2016 Exclusive “Ghoul Glow” Skeletor sofubi is cast in glow in the dark soft Japanese vinyl with dark blue, yellow and grey sprays and black eyes. Each MOTU figure includes a GID Havoc Staff accessory and comes packaged in a deluxe full color window box. This 5” figure can be purchased at the Super7 WonderCon booth #2114 starting on Friday, March 25th, and then at the Super7 online store on Saturday, March 26th for around $65.

Batman “In The Batmobile” Screen Print by Bruce Yan

At WonderCon 2015, Hero Complex Gallery released this awesome Batman screen print by Bruce Yan titled “In The Batmobile”! I love the retro feel to this design that was clearly inspired by the old school Batman and Super Friends cartoons from the 1970s. It’s even got a little of the awesome old school dot matrix effect going on that The Blot grew up with in comic books and newspaper comic strips back in the day. A design perfectly inspired by the art of Roy Lichtenstein!

“In The Batmobile” by Bruce Yan is a 36”x24” Batman screen print. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 60 pieces and retails for $40, while the Metallic Variant is limited to just 35 pieces and retails for $50.
