Inglourious Basterds Character Movie Posters

Here’s what The Blot knows about Inglourious Basterds: it’s loosely (and I do mean loosely) based on a 1978 Italian war movie directed by Enzo Castellari, it was written and directed by the great Quentin Tarantino and it stars Brad Pitt. And that’s really about all I need to know to entice me to go see the movie on opening night.

I expect Inglourious Basterds to be very bloody, have a killer soundtrack, feature numerous pop culture references and have some ridiculously awesome catch phrases. But then what else would you expect from a Quentin Tarantino film?

For those of you actually interested in the film’s plot, Inglourious Basterds takes place during World War II and features a group of Jewish-American soldiers known as "The Basterds" who are handpicked to spread fear throughout the Third Reich by scalping and brutally killing Nazis. The Basterds soon cross paths with a French-Jewish teenage girl who runs a movie theater in Paris which is targeted by a group of Nazi soldiers, the same Nazi soldiers who killed her parents.
