Mötley Crüe First Las Vegas Concert Screen Print by Andrew Alekseev x Collectionzz

Mötley Crüe First Las Vegas Concert Screen Print by Andrew Alekseev x Collectionzz

Collectionzz has teamed up with artist Andrew Alekseev for the next poster in their Iconic by Collectionzz screen print series commemorating another legendary moment in music history! Check out this fantastic Mötley Crüe screen print gig poster, which celebrates the band’s first Las Vegas concert on April 1, 1983.

Mötley Crüe’s short-lived tour opening for KISS in early 1983 was the band’s first real opportunity to play on big stages on the West Coast. KISS was undoubtedly a tough act to open for, as they had already reached the heights as one of the world’s biggest bands and arguably the most spectacular concert attraction to date in rock history.

The Aladdin Theater in Las Vegas opened on April 1, 1983 (April Fool’s Day), and the very first concert there was KISS with Mötley Crüe. It also marked the very first time Mötley Crüe performed in Las Vegas! To complete the circle, the band would be asked back to Aladdin Theater to close the venue on November 25, 1997. Collectionzz explained, “what better way to kick off our first limited edition screenprint for the legendary Mötley Crüe than with this classic show, featuring a Vegas-inspired design by Andrew Alekseev.”

Mötley Crüe “First Las Vegas Concert” by Andrew Alekseev is an 18”x24” hand numbered screen print. The Main Edition is limited to 125 pieces, while the Mirror Foil Variant is limited to just 25 pieces. Both Editions will go on sale at noon EDT today, Wednesday, July 29th, at iconic.collectionzz.com.
