Street Fighter BATSU Vinyl Figures Series 1

NECA is set to release its second line of 5 inch BATSU vinyl figures, and this set looks just as awesome as the TMNT BATSU figures we got a sneak peek of last month. Coming this February is Wave 1 of NECDA’s Street Fighter BATSU toy line, which includes Ryu, Blanka and E. Honda. Blanka has always been my favorite Street Fighter character, so of course I’m going to have to pick up one of these funky looking designer vinyl figures.


Best of all, NECA is advertising this set of 3 figures as Series 1, meaning other Street Fighter characters are already in development. Here’s hoping these sell well enough to garner Ken, Cammy and Chun-Li BATSU figures. Street Fighter BATSU Series 1 is estimated to arrive in stores sometime during February 2010, and is currently available for pre-order at BigBadToyStore.com for $34.00. That’s only $11.30 per figure!


For clarification purposes, this is actually the third line of BATSU vinyl figures. But, The Blot refuses to acknowledge the upcoming Insane Clown Posse BATSU vinyl figure set featuring Shaggy 2 Dope and Violent J due out in January of 2010. I think I’ve already said too much…

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle BATSU Vinyl Figures by NECA

It seems like everyone wants in on the designer vinyl craze! BATSU is the National Entertainment Collectibles Association’s (a.k.a. NECA) entry into the 5-8 inch, reasonably priced designer vinyl toy market. The Blot’s not a huge fan of the platform’s quirky shaped arms and legs, but I do love me some TMNT! This November everyone’s favorite pizza eating mutant turtles, Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael and Michelangelo, will be given the BATSU treatment.



BATSU is NECA’s new highly-stylized line of urban vinyl figurines. Each 5” Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle BATSU is poseable at the neck and shoulders and comes with the weapons unique to that specific character (bo staff, katana, nunchuku and sai). Even without the weapons, you can tell who's who just by looking at their expressions, which capture the Turtles' personalities perfectly, from Donatello's concentration to Michelangelo's goofy grin.



NECA's limited edition TMNT BATSU figures hit stores November, 2009 and will be available at the NECA Amazon storefront and other collectible stores worldwide. Each figure will retail for around $15, and you will be able to purchase a complete set of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle BATSU vinyl figures for somewhere around $50-60.
