Dunny Fatale Series - Catalina Estrada Black Chase Variant Dunny

We’re now just two days away from the release of Kidrobot’s new 3 inch series Dunny Fatale, and news about the blind box series keeps leaking out. The latest update is that there is a second colorway for Catalina Estrada’s Dunny. The Catalina Estrada Chase Variant Dunny has the same design but it’s base color is now black instead of blue. Catalina also designed the beautiful artwork for the packaging of the Dunny Fatale Series.


There’s been no word yet on how rare this colorway will be, but the OG colorway’s ratio was only 1/25. Could this be a more rare 2nd colorway like S2009’s Gray Gloomy or a more common 2nd colorway like the French Series’ Tizieu Dunny? I guess only time will tell!

Dunny Fatale Blind Boxes go on sale this Thursday, January 28th and will retail for $7.96 per box.

Kidrobot Dunny Fatale Series Official Checklist and Ratios

We’re just two days away from the release of Kidrobot’s new Dunny Fatale 3” Blind Box Series and The Blot is getting pretty excited! To help fuel fans’ excitement, Kidrobot has finally released the official Dunny Fatale Series Checklist and Ratios. It looks like The Baroness’ Kiss of Death Dunny is in fact 1/200, which kind of sucks, but there are so many other amazing designs in the Dunny Fatale Series I’ll let The Baroness’ unfortunate ratio slide.

The Dunny Fatale Series features designs from 18 prominent and talented female artists including Alex Anderson, Catalina Estrada, KLOR, CW, Aiko, Kathie Olivas, Wendi Koontz, Koralie, Baroness, Anna Chambers, Amanda Visell, Amy Ruppel, Julie West, Toofly, Junko Mizuno, Aya Kakeda, Tara McPherson, and Sara Varon.

Dunny Fatale Kiss of Death Dunny by The Baroness

News of the Toy Baroness’ departure from Kidrobot two weeks ago came as a huge shocker to vinyl collectors around the globe. The Blot only got to meet Nichole East a few times and she was always super friendly, nice and helpful. She will definitely be missed! As a going away present after six years of service, Kidrobot has included a Dunny designed by her in its upcoming Dunny Fatale 3 Inch Series. Until recently, details of the Baroness’ new Dunny have been kept top secret, but thankfully we now know its name, the Kiss of Death Dunny, and what it looks like!


The Kiss of Death Dunny by The Baroness is rumored to be the rarest figure in the Dunny Fatale Series with a ratio of 1/200, but that is not confirmed yet. What is confirmed is that the Toy Baroness will be putting her Kiss of Death APs up for sale this Thursday, January 28th at 9am EST in a limited edition Dunny Fatale Artist Proof Box Set at her new Baroness Loves online store. Each set will retail for $150 each! This will definitely be the easiest way for collectors to ensure they get their hands on what will likely be the most sought after Dunny in KR’s upcoming 3” series.


While The Blot’s not sure exactly sure what will be included in the Dunny Fatale Artist Proof Box Set, a similar box set went on sale last Saturday. The Baroness Dunny Artist Proof Pink Box Set, which sold out in a matter of hours, retailed for $75 and included the extremely rare Baroness Dunny from 2006 that was never available for sale.


The now sold out Baroness Dunny AP box set included a signed dunny, metallic pink envelope holding a numbered black metal card laser etched on both sides, an acrylic display stand for the metal card, two 1” buttons and a 4” Kiss vinyl sticker. That is a ton of amazing stuff for just $75, and I’ve got a feeling the Baroness’ Dunny Fatale Box Set will be equally as good.

Exclusive Dunny Fatale KLOR Case Colorway

Yesterday, Kidrobot announced a special promotion tied to the release of the Dunny Fatale Series scheduled to drop on January 28th. (link) Any fan who purchases a sealed case of Dunny Fatale from a Kidrobot store or select retailer is eligible to receive an exclusive colorway of the 3 inch KLOR Dunny (while supplies last and limited to 1 Dunny per customer). It looks like the standard/common KLOR Dunny is black and white, while this exclusive “case colorway giveaway" is yellow, blue & pink. The Blot will of course be at Domy Books here in Houston on the 28th for the release of KR’s latest series of 3” mini-figures. While I think this is a great idea and the giveaway will definitely help increase the sale of sealed cases, in no way does this 3 inch figure (limited to just 500 pieces) increase the likelihood I will purchase a case of the Dunny Fatale Series. I think I’m sticking solely to blind boxes and/or trades with this series as the Dunnys Fatale vinyl figures I want (Amanda Visell, Kathie Olivas, Tara McPherson and Julie West's) are all extremely common.

Kidrobot has finally made an official announcement concerning the release of their next 3 inch blind box series, Dunny Fatale! The Dunny Femme Fatale series features designs from 18 prominent and talented female artists. Some are cute and sweet while others are bold and cruel, but all are irresistible. Photos of the series leaked almost two months ago, so it’s nice to see Kidrobot finally acknowledge this awesome looking mini figure series.


Each blind boxed 3” Dunny retails for $7.95, comes with a trading card and some include accessories. These Femme Fatale Dunnys start seducing collectors in late January at select retailers, Kidrobot stores and on Kidrobot.com.

It’s amazing what leaks the moment The Blot goes off grid for a few days to get engaged! Thankfully, an anonymous source was kind enough to forward me the photo below, which features the checklist of Kidrobot’s long rumored 3” Femme Fatale Dunny Series. The upcoming series is aptly named, since it features a veritable who’s who of the world’s top female artists.
