Monochrome Edition Formaldehyde Face 2.0 Resin Figure by Motorbot

What better way to end 2014 than with a brand new figure from Motorbot! The Texas based artist has revisited his popular Formaldehyde Face resin figure, based on the cult classic They Live, and improved upon its sculpt and design. The original Formaldehyde Face is one of The Blot’s favorite figures, and I personally own 5 different colorways of the They Live inspired figure. I can’t wait to see one of these new Formaldehyde Face 2.0 figures in person! I’m especially digging the way the figure now holds out his hand. Now all we need is a remake/sequel of They Live!

Today is the last day to order the Monochrome Edition Formaldehyde Face 2.0 resin figure by Motorbot. Each figure stands 5” tall and is solid, hand cast resin. Astro Zombie Resin Figures by Motorbot

Motorbot has launched his Formaldehyde Face resin figure into orbit with this glittery Astro colorway! Each space themed Zombie includes a tinted clear resin head with pearl micro glitter in a slick all white suit, making for one pimp undead monster. Even better still, there are four head colors to choose from: Red, Blue, Green and Gray.

Men In Black Formaldehyde Face Resin Figures by Motorbot

As much as I love the OG Formaldehyde Face resin figures, Motorbot’s latest colorway might me my new favorite. Best of all, the MIB Formaldehyde Face colorway is actually 2 colroways in one: Classic 50's Green and the more modern Grey. But you’d better watch out, before you know it these men in black will be knocking on your door to help you forget the things you shouldn't have seen.

Zombie Edition Formaldehyde Face Resin Figure by Motorbot

Later today, Motorbot will be releasing the newest colorway of his Formaldehyde Face resin figure! The Zombie Edition Formaldehyde Face figure stands 4" tall, is made of rotocast resin and has one point of articulation. The colors of these brain eating aliens will vary slightly as each figure is hand made, and each will have a different suit color (some shade of grey or tan).

A limited number of the Zombie Edition Formaldehyde Face resin figures by Motorbot will be released today, October 15th, at noon CST on the Dead Bear online store. Each figure will retail for $30 and comes bagged with a header card. A second wave may be released in early November.

They Live Resin Figures by Motorbot

Motorbot just continues to produce awesome new hand made resin figures week after week! His newest creation is based on the aliens from the 1988 cult classic They Live by John Carpenter and starring Roddy Piper and Keith David. The They Live 4" resin figures feature all new alien head sculpts and utilize the previously seen Morgon body. Motorbot will be debuting these movie themed figures at Gallery1988 San Francisco’s Crazy4Cult show on Saturday, September 4th, but you can expect future colorways to be released soon.


They Live is one of The Blot’s favorite movies for a few reasons: it stars one of my all time favorite professional wrestlers, it features one of the greatest one liners of all time (“I have come here to chew bubblegum and kick ass...and I'm all out of bubblegum”), and it was part of the inspiration behind Shepard Fariey naming his company Obey Giant.


But enough about the movie! While two of the They Live resin figures will be debuting at C4C, Motorbot has 4 more They Live figures (2 color and 2 monochromatic) available for purchase right now.
