The world of designer art toys was rocked on Friday when Huck Gee announced he was closing his studio and ending Huck Gee Inc. You can read Huck’s official announcement here. This marks the end of an illustrious 15 year career designing art toys, and The Blot is truly sad to see him go. To say Huck Gee has left an indelible mark on the art toy scene is an understatement. He has continued to push the medium and inspired countless other creatives to do the same. The Blot just wants to publicly say thank you Huck for all that you’ve done for this little corner of the art world!

In conjunction with this shocking announcement, Huck Gee has dropped his final self-produced release - the Thank You The Blank resin figure! Sporting his iconic Skullhead design, the Thank You Blank features a Cheeky Monkey head, stands 7” tall and features 7 points of articulation. Hand cast in glow in the dark resin and limited to just 10 pieces, this signed and numbered figure retailed for $500 at the Huck Gee online store. Sadly all 10 figures sold out almost immediately upon release.

Huck is about to close his online store and only limited stock remain, but if you want something buy directly from Huck now is your last chance! Here’s hoping we see Huck back making custom or production toys very, very soon.

Arthur & the Problem Solver Resin Figure by Huck Gee

Meet Huck Gee’s newest resin creation, Arthur! He’s a former sailor and boxer in Her Majesty's Crown Navy, and is now the Dapper Scoundrel's muscle and team roadie. He was introduced to Flynn and the gang by Darby after he bounced out of the service, and has been an important part of the crew ever since. Arthur and his “Problem Solver” are now practically family.

When not lugging equipment around out on the road, Arthur can be found hanging ‘round the garage, reading the Daily Struggle, and helping Thorn tear down bikes. Or if it's been a particularly hard day, perhaps alone on a hillock, contemplating a quieter life with a bottle of whiskey and a good cigar.

Arthur towers over the rest of the crew at a whopping 9” tall and is limited to just 10 pieces. Each signed and numbered figure retails for $875 and can be purchased now by emailing sales@huckgee.com.

Cheeky Monkey and Skullhead The Blank 4” Resin Figures by Huck Gee

Later today, Huck Gee will be introducing two different 4” versions of his award winning The Blank resin platform figure! At noon PST today, Collectors will be able to purchase Huck’s Cheeky Monkey and Skullhead Blank resin figures. I believe this is the first broad release of the Cheeky Monkey, which also includes a British translation of his cheekiness. Both look fantastic, don’t you think!?!

Each Cheeky Monkey and Skullhead The Blank 4” Resin Figure is a small batch production run, handmade in San Francisco, and limited to just 100 pieces. Collectors can order both figures today, May 31st, at the Huck Gee online store for just $30 each.

The Skullhead Blank Gummi Edition GID Resin Figures by Huck Gee

Later this morning, Huck Gee will be releasing a beautiful new series of Gummi Skullhead Blank resin figures! These Gummi Blanks are Huck’s next experiment of the Blank form, designed for collectors and customizers alike. There will be four translucent glow in the dark flavorways released (red, yellow, purple and green), with each color limited to just 50 pieces. Darby The Fixer Resin Figure by Huck Gee

Meet Darby, The Fixer, the newest resin figure by Huck Gee! A born and raised Blackwadlian, Darby went to grammar school with Flynn and the other Dapper Scoundrels. When the first war broke out he signed up for a stint in Her Majesty's Crown Forces as an infantryman. With a keen wit and a canny sense of where not to be, he proved himself on the field and eventually worked his way into the armored division, making a name for himself as a halfway decent DAME pilot.

After the battle of Brut, he left the service, returning to Blackwater with a pocket full of military supply contacts and started a lucrative black market business running goods up and down the coast. You want it and it ain’t nailed down, Darby can get it for you. Hell, even if it is nailed down, he can probably get you the floorboards too. And when the steel rations hit, Darby happened to be one of the more reliable sources for hard to find bike parts.

Darby The Fixer stands 7.5” tall, is limited to just 10 pieces and comes signed and numbered by the artist. Flynn Skitch & the Batsby Balderdash GT250 #27 by Huck Gee

After over a year in development and the past two months focusing solely on it, Huck Gee is proud to present his newest resin figure set: Flynn Skitch and the Batsby Balderdash GT250 #27!!! Driven by Flynn Skitch and sponsored by Kingshead Whiskey and BPB Manufacturing, #27 is a garage modified Batsby Balderdash GT250 nicknamed “The Flying Geordie”. This fat boxed beast is an absolute head turner and to hear this monster roar past at full throttle is a thing of sublime audible beauty.

Flynn himself is notable not only because he's an outstanding pilot (medaling in 3 Acorn Runs including Port to Port, Factory Haul 250 and Spring Byways GT), but because he also openly reps his association with the Dapper Scoundrels, one of Blackwater's more notable gangster families. This is by far one of Huck’s most impressive achievements! Known for constantly pushing the designer toy scene, the Batsby Balderdash GT250 #27 is truly amazing. #27’s hood is removable, the engine and air suspension is exposed, the wheels turn, the suicide shifter shifts (mostly), Flnn’s clothes are dapper, his hat may be doffed, and there's gobs of other details (like the fox skull painted on the radiator hidden behind the grill). This resin figure set is limited to 10 pieces, and #27 measures 14.5” long by 7” tall. Squad 33 Resin Figure by Huck Gee

Check out Huck Gee’s newest resin figure, Squad 33! While the lumbering tin cans dominated the major battlefields across Dapland, there were plenty of critter brigades throwing themselves against one another in trenches and towns across the rest of the continent. Seeing how effective the Can Opener armored suits were against the Untz forces, it didn't take long for someone at H.M.A.D. to adapt them for infantry use. There were plenty variations built, and several noteworthy units, but the most legendary has got to be Squad 33.

Led by the most probably unhinged Hawkfin Brushwood, their reputation was as an effective tool as any weapon they handled. Painting their armors black, wielding huge melee weapons and adorning themselves with skull insignia, these modern day diesel powered knights embraced their imposing reputation. There's a famous quote from General Macadiilly when asked why Squad 33 was thought to be so effective, “Because sometimes you just need an armored motherfucker wielding two giant axes to fix the problem...”

La Flamme Lapin Noir Resin Figure by Huck Gee

Deep in the secretive burrows of the Lapin Noir headquarters, a spritely messenger runs in with details of an enemy warehouse full of supplies headed for the front line. He managed to get his hands on the cargo manifest and they're shipping out tomorrow!

“Le Sabre, get out there and secure a perimeter. Bug, grab whoever's free and smuggle out what you can. We're gonna need to torch the rest. Someone find La Flamme and tell her to suit up, she's got a job to do!”

Before the war, Alaina worked as "The Flamme Fatale", a renowned fire performer for Cirque De La Nuit. But times have changed and these days she's mostly known as the town mechanic. At night she helps the resistance, by day she repairs the local milk truck and does odd jobs and welds broken parts for the local farmers and factories. But more and more frequently, she's being forced to do repair work for the occupying Untz forces.... funny, how often those trucks and jeeps keep breaking down... must be that cheap steel they build everything out of.

Le Sabre Resin Figure by Huck Gee

Many leagues from Grey Wolf's Creek, over the thundering front where the giant, shambling tin cans clash, lies the Untz occupied burrows of Grass Valley. And it is here, beneath a nondescript bar, behind a secret staircase, and only spoken about in careful whispers, that lies the headquarters of Lapin Noir: the people's resistance! This covert group comprised of saboteurs, informants, news runners and shadow smugglers protect the occupied locals and sow confusion from behind enemy lines.

Of the many heroic members of the resistance, Le Sabre is considered one of the most notorious amongst the enemy. Silent with his blades, he is a stealthy infiltrator and backdoor perpetrator, who is well versed in destroying supplies, stealing classified documents, and wrecking havoc amongst the enemy occupiers. He is considered a giant pain in the ass by many an Untz commander and this notoriety has left his name sitting constantly atop the Untz' bounty list.

This Thursday, Huck Gee will be releasing the second colorway of his awesome new figure Bugslot and Denguard #9! When the long, harsh winter of Grey Wolf’s Creek comes along, Bugslot puts a fresh new coat of arctic white paint on his Denguard #9, fires up that diesel and gets on out there to do his job! Bugslot & Denguard #9 Resin Figure Set by Huck Gee

Earlier this month, while The Blot was stuck in bed with strep throat, Huck Gee released the next figure in his awesome Dapper Little Scoundrel Series, Bugslot and Denguard #9! Of course all the cool stuff drops while I’m out of commission. The diminutive Denguard is a diesel powered, lightly armored version of the bigger mobile pillbox battle units, but is just as valuable and spits out just as much diesel smoke as their larger brethren. This particular unit, Denguard #9, is lightly armored and mounted with a Crowning Snub Chassis 1919 MG. They may not carry the heavy armor plating or full arsenal of a hulking DAME unit but guys like Bugslot typically don't need that kind of firepower for perimeter patrol. Piloted by one of the cutest little denizens this side of Grey Wolf's Creek, don't be fooled by Bugslot's diminutive size, he's a crack shot with that MG and Denguard #9 is quick as a wink off the starting line.

Bugslot and Denguard #9 was only available for 24 hours only back on December 1st at the Huck Gee online store, and retailed for $475. Each beautifully hand crafted figure comes individually signed by the artist.
