Mini Scowl Resin Figures by Motorbot

Motorbot’s Scowl is back, this time as a cute 3” resin figure. What’s interesting about the Mini Scowl is that it’s actually truer to Motorbot’s original sketch than his larger counterpart. The Mini Scowl is a made-to-order release and is available in a variety of colors through the Deadbear Studios online store for just $20 each. Act quickly though, as today is the last day to order these colorways of the Mini Scowl. After today a new crop of color schemes will be made available.

They say the rarest of the Scowls is the Great Horned Scowl found only in the most remote areas of Dallas, Texas…mainly Motorbot’s toy studio! The Blot didn’t think it would be possible to improve upon Motorbot’s awesome Scowl resin figure, but then he went and proved me wrong! Surprisingly, all it took was adding a variety of crazy looking horns. Motorbot’s sculpting and resin making skills continue to amaze me, and his work just keeps getting better as his figures continue to evolve. I don’t know what you think, but IMHO these Great Horned Scowls are his best release yet!

The Scowl Resin Figure by Motorbot

For the past few weeks Motorbot has been teasing the designer toy world with an all new figure named simply, The Scowl. This owl like monster looks amazing and The Blot loves all the crazy detailing Motorbot put into the figure’s hands and feet. What’s great about this sculpt is that it looks just as cool unpainted as it does painted. But I have to say, when the figure’s mask like face is painted The Scowl looks so freaking bad ass! This is one resin figure I’d love to see reproduced in vinyl.

The Scowl by Motorbot stands 4.5” tall, is made from solid resin and comes bagged with a header card. There are currently 28 one of a kind Scowls up for sale at the Deadbear Studios online store for just $40 each. There are painted and unpainted styles, glitter versions, clear tint colorways, and even some embedded with leaves and pipe cleaners.
