At New York Comic Con 2024 next weekend, Mondo will be releasing a new limited edition screen printed movie poster by artist and illustrator Dave Arcade for the 45th anniversary of the 1979 cult classic, The Warriors! This NYCC 2024 exclusive is a 24”x36” hand numbered 8 color screen print on French Construction White Wash paper. Limited to just 190 pieces, it will be sold exclusively at the Mondo NYCC booth for $80.
“I saw The Warriors for the first time when I was kid, and it made me think two things: 1. A lot can happen in one night and 2. All downtown areas are packed with a variety of costumed, rival gangs running the streets. I now know the truth about downtown areas, but decades later and The Warriors is still all about stuffing an hour and thirty minutes with the craziest night a little old gang from Coney Island can handle. So when it came to my contribution to The Warriors poster pantheon, I knew I wanted to depict everything that happened that night by packing a downtown area with a variety of costumed, rival gangs running the streets.” – Dave Arcade
