DKE Toys will be releasing a ton of awesome SDCC 2021 exclusives again this year, including this awesome Bootleg Gold collab between Lou Pimentel and Killer Bootlegs. Check out the San Diego Comic-Con 2021 Exclusive Bootleg Gold Draco Knuckleduster Resin Figure by Lou Pimentel and Killer Bootlegs, which is the perfect companion piece to last year’s Bootleg Gold Phantom Starkiller that DKE Toys released at SDCC 2020. Each 3.75” bootleg resin figure was hand cast and hand painted. Limited to 200 signed and numbered pieces, the Bootleg Gold Draco Knuckleduster will retail for $30.

Over the past few years at New York Comic Con artist Lou Pimentel has hand painted approximately 20 different card backs in watercolor. That series is called Vintage Gold and each had a vintage style toy glued to the art for that vintagey action figure feel. For SDCC this year DKE Toys decided to “bootleg” its own series. These cardbacks are printed so DKE Toys can offer a lower price point of $30. Each one has a “bootleg” of the classic Draco Knuckleduster and are signed on the back by Killer Bootlegs and Lou Pimentel.

NYCC 2020 Exclusive Sucklord & Killer Bootlegs Tribute Wood Figures by Edwin Salas x DKE Toys

New York Comic Con 2020 may be canceled, but that doesn’t mean the exclusives have been! For instance, DKE Toys will releasing these two wood bootlegs of iconic bootleg figures by artist Edwin Salas.  Man, these look fantastic!  Gay Empire is inspired by Sucklord’s pink Stormtrooper Gay Empire, while Fantom Starkiller is inspired by Killer Bootleg’s Phantom Starkiller.  Each 3.75” figure is a hand carved and hand painted wood figure and comes on a hand painted card back.  These Tribute Bootleg Wood Figures are limited to 20 pieces each and retails for $80.

DKE Toys is hosting a live virtual event October 8th – 11th in place of the canceled NYCC 2020. Following the success of their SDCC virtual event we bring you #DKECON - NYCC Edition! The DKE Toys New York Comic Con booth will be set up in the DKE warehouse and available to all via a live continuous Zoom meeting 10am-7pm PST each day except Sunday ending at 5pm. For the first time in DKE Toys history all of the NYCC convention releases will be available in their online store. 

The online store will go live with all of the new NYCC editions at 10am PDT, on Thursday, October 8th, and will remain open for the duration of the show.

Phantom Starkiller NYCC 2013 Reissue Resin Figure by Killer Bootlegs

Last weekend, Killer Bootlegs continued to revisit different past colorways of his classic creation – the OG Phantom Starkiller bootleg resin figure! One of the most influential handmade bootleg action figures ever released, this Phantom Starkiller 2013 v1.5 is also one of the rarest colorways ever to be released.  This grey, turquoise and pink colorway is based on the iconic New York Comic Con 2013 edition, which has been locked in the Killer Bootlegs vault for 8 years.

The Phantom Starkiller 2013 NYCC Reissue Resin Figure by Killer Bootlegs stands 3.75” tall and comes with a signed and numbered certificate of authenticity. What’s really cool about this figure is that it features the same price as the original release way back in 2013 althogh with a slightly bigger edition size. This special NYCC 2013 Reissue is limited to just 25 pieces and retailed for $100 at KillerBootlegs.storenvy.com. As you can imagine, this figure sold out immediately upon release.

For the hardcore Phantom Starkiller collectors wondering exactly how the 2020 version can be differentiated from the actual original 2013 version in order to tell the two apart down the line. Killer Bootlegs made sure to make slight alterations to the sculpt, and the cardback has been made denoting it as a “re-issue”.
