WWE x Puma T-Shirt & Sneaker Capsule Collection – A Foot Locker Exclusive!

Foot Locker has launched a new partnership with WWE to bring limited edition footwear and apparel to select Foot Locker stores around the US. To kick things off, yesterday (Saturday, April 3rd) Foot Locker released this awesome WWE x Puma Capsule Collection just in time for WWE’s premiere event tonight, WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida! This WWE x Puma Capsule Collection was designed by Alexander-John and curated by radio host Peter Rosenberg, and features exclusive art of six WWE Legends: “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, The Ultimate Warrior, “Macho Man” Randy Savage, Ric Flair, Andre the Giant and the Undertaker.

The WWE x Puma Capsule Collection includes limited pairs of WWE inspired white Puma Clydes in custom boxes, retailing for $199. As The Blot understands it, there were only 600 of these white WWE Puma Clydes produced, 100 pairs per WWE Superstar Hall of Famer. Additionally, 23 pairs of black Puma Clydes will be sold exclusively in Orlando for $499, touting Undertaker imagery and packaged in a collectible sneaker casket. The WWE Legends will also be featured on exclusive Puma t-shirts, available for $44.99.

To commemorate WrestleMania 33, Foot Locker is selling this limited edition WWE collection in 33 select Puma Lab Powered by Foot Locker locations around the United States. Sadly, Houston did not make the cut of cities where you can find this exciting release. Good luck hunting down this WWE x Puma x Foot Locker collection, as it also does not appear to be available online.

Frank Kozik x Puma Smorkin Labbit Suede Sneaker Collection

Earlier this month Puma released a very cool sneaker collaboration with Frank Kozik. The only catch? These limited edition sneakers have been released exclusively in Argentina! The Frank Kozik x Puma Smorkin Labbit Suede Sneaker Collection features micro perforated leather toe-boxes as well as premium suede upper and lots of Kozik's Smorkin Labbit (produced by Kidrobot).

Each Kozik x Puma Suede sneaker includes a Smorkin Labbit caricature on the heel tab, sockliner and lace tag, as well as Kozik’s signature on the side. Each pair of Labbit Suede Sneakers also comes packaged in a tote bag printed with tons of Smorkin Labbits on it. Is that enough Smorkin Labbits for ya or what!?! The Kozik x Puma Suede sneaker comes in blue, black and red.

Puma First Round Sketch Sneakers

While The Blot was in Dallas this past weekend I made sure to find some time to do a little shopping. I was especially excited to see a really great selection, including a few new releases, at the Dallas NorthPark Puma store. The best of the new releases has to be Puma’s First Round Sketch sneakers, which just have a very clean look to them. To be honest I’m not sure the picture below does them justice.


The Puma First Round Sketch “offers a truly unique ‘hand painted’ look” and I love the Vaporous Gray/Maui Blue color scheme. (link) What can I say, I'm drawn to that pop art look they give off. Best of all, the store actually carried a pair in size 14. That’s something you don’t see every day. The Goonies x Puma Disc Blaze Sneakers

Forget about those Back to the Future 2 x Nike Air McFly 2015 sneakers released earlier this summer, the coolest 80’s movie tie-in sneakers coming out this year are these limited edition The Goonies x Puma Disc Blaze sneakers. If you grew up in the 80’s then you know my obsession with The Goonies as a child. Who didn’t want to join in on their adventure to find the buried treasure of the 17th century pirate One-Eyed Willie?


I really love all of the nostalgia themed sneakers hitting the market right now, and these Goonies themed shoes might be the best of them all. The details on these Pumas are awesome. I especially like The Goonies group logo on the back of the sneaker.

The actual map that was used by those kids from Astoria, Oregon in the 1985 film. YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round B4 Sneakers

Well, The Blot proved highly unsuccessful in my pursuit of the pink YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round sneakers in a size 14. Maybe that was a blessing in disguise, because there was some discussion of whether or not I could actually pull off the shoe. Thankfully Puma is releasing a new version of the YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Rounds in the sneaker line’s fourth wave of shoes. The new YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round B4 sneakers are much more my style, and while they still have some pink to them, they are predominately black, white and green.


I’ve been trying to tie down an official street date for these awesome sneakers, but I have only found conflicting reports. Some say the shoe dropped in the middle of last month, but since they haven’t shown up on eBay yet I’m assuming that wasn’t the case. The other date I’ve seen for them is this Saturday, June 28th. Hopefully my local designer sneaker store will be carrying them. But even more importantly, I hope they will be released in my size. Wish me luck as I try to track down these high top sneakers before the end of the week.

Speed Racer x Puma Scattista Lo Sneakers

I saw these sneakers last week at my local Puma store, and while they do look kind of cool with the race car numbers on the side, the first thing out of my mouth was “How bad do you think Puma regrets making a Speed Racer themed shoe after the movie completely flopped?” The Speed Racer x Puma Scattista Lo Sneakers are based on the cartoon/movie’s two central race cars, Speed Racer’s Mach 5 and Racer X’s Number 9 car, the Shooting Star.

To be honest, I don’t even see that much of a similarity between Racer X’s Number 9 car from the movie and the Scattista Lo Speed Racer X9 sneaker besides the black, white and yellow color scheme. But, I do kind of dig the way the Scattista Lo Speed Racer M5 has the same M insignia across the top of it that the actual Mach 5 does in the Speed Racer cartoon and movie. These shoes in theory could have been really popular, but I can’t imagine they are moving many pairs of them now that the Speed Racer film has bombed in the theaters. I wonder if my opinion of the sneakers would be completely different if the film had turned into the huge blockbuster the Wachowski brothers envisioned it would be.

Update: YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round Sneakers

After finding out last week that the YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round sneakers were coming out yesterday (April 19th), I got pretty excited. What’s not to love about these pink and white Puma high tops, right?


So I ran down to my local designer sneaker store to see if I could get my hands on a pair. I was pretty excited when I saw them sitting on a shelf with the other newly released wave 3 YO! MTV Raps x Puma sneakers, especially when I found out this particular store was the only shop in Houston (and possibly the state of Texas) to have gotten them in. Things were looking good until I found out they didn’t get a pair in stock that would fit my size 14 feet. Let’s just say The Blot was not a happy camper at that point.


The YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round sneakers are selling for $85 retail and the store here in Houston still had a bunch of pairs in stock as of yesterday afternoon. But don’t sleep on these limited edition sneakers, because once they’re sold out they’ll be gone forever. YO! MTV Raps x Puma First Round

This weekend The Blot saw a picture of some of the best sneakers I’ve seen in a very long time and I have got to get a pair. At the end of last year Puma unveiled a line of limited edition shoes and clothing which pays tribute to the classic MTV television show YO! MTV Raps. The YO! MTV Raps x Puma shoe and clothing line honors the history of hip-hop and some of its greatest ambassadors including Doctor Dre and Ed Lover, Big Daddy Kane, MC Shan and Doug E. Fresh.
