SDCC 2017 Debut Skybound Minis Blind Box Series by Scott Tolleson

After debuting at San Diego Comic-Con three years ago, Robert Kirkman and Skybound’s awesome Skybound Minis 3” mini figures are back, and this time they’re releasing a full blind box series based on Skybound’s acclaimed line of comic books. Designed by the super talented artist Scott Tolleson, the Skybound Minis Blind Box Series features 3” mini versions of characters from The Walking Dead, Invincible, Outcast, Horizon, Manifest Destiny and more! And how can you say no to a super adorable Negan mini figure!?! The Skybound Minis Blind Box Series will debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2017 next month where it will be sold at the Skybound SDCC booth for $10 per blind box.

One of the hottest exclusives at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 is this new line of San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusive Skybound Minis 8” vinyl figures designed by Scott Tolleson, and up until yesterday we’d only see the packaging! Check out the full reveal of these epic vinyl figures of The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes, Invincible’s Mark Grayson and Outcast by Kirkman and Azaceta’s Kyle Barnes.

The Blot was personally thrilled to learn that not only would these figures come fully painted (unlike last year’s SDCC 2014 exclusive 3” Skybound Minis) but they feature a lot more sculpted detailing! Skybound really stepped up their designer vinyl figure game this year, and I hope we see more of this type of collaboration with Tolleson.

Collectors can pick up all three Skybound Minis 8” vinyl figures at the Skybound SDCC booth for just $40 each. And good luck hunting down the mystery chase variants of each figure!

SDCC 15 Exclusive Skybound Minis 8” Vinyl Figures by Scott Tolleson - The Walking Dead, Invincible & Outcast

Last year at San Diego Comic-Con Skybound release two 3” mini vinyl figures designed by Scott Tolleson of The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes and Invincible. This year Skybound and Tolleson are going bigger…bigger as in three 8” vinyl figures based on three of Skybound’s most popular comic books: The Walking Dead, Invincible and Outcast by Kirkman and Azaceta.

It’s unclear how different these figures will be compared to last year’s Skybound Minis release (seen in the picture above), but The Blot can’t wait to get his hands on 8” vinyl figures of The Walking Dead’s Rick Grimes, Invincible’s Mark Grayson and Outcast’s Kyle Barnes! Each figure will come in a standard color pattern and a short packed color variant. Although you’ll know which comic book character you’re buying based on the figure’s packaging, the figures will be sold blind box style in that you won’t know exactly which colored version of the figure you’ll be getting.

SDCC 14 Exclusive The Walking Dead x Invincible Skybound Mini Figure 2 Pack by Scott Tolleson

Skybound has teamed up with Scott Tolleson to produce a new line of mini figures based on the popular comic books of Robert Kirkman! The first ever Skybound Minis will be released in just a few weeks as a San Diego Comic-Con 2014 exclusive. The SDCC Exclusive 2 Pack is a limited edition double blind box set of Skybound Minis featuring Rick Grimes from The Walking Dead and Invincible from the self titled series. Designed by Scott Tolleson, each figure will come in one of six possible colors.

The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Skybound Mini 2 Pack featuring Rick Grimes and Invincible is limited to 5,000 sets and will retail for $20 per set exclusively at the Skybound SDCC booth #2729.
