Creature Commandos Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko x DC Studios

We’re still a few months away from the world debut of the new DC Studios animated series, Creature Commandos, on MAX, but Funko has just unveiled a new line of Creature Commandos Pop! TV Vinyl Figures to commemorate the new streaming series. The Blot is super excited for this new show as it’s the first original DC Comics content from the newly christened DC Studios helmed by James Gunn and Peter Safran. The adult animated series spins off from Gunn’s Peacemaker television show and features a Suicide Squad-like team of monsters going on missions for Amanda Waller.

Creature Commandos Pop! Series 1 includes vinyl figures of Eric Frankenstein, The Bride, Doctor Phosphorus, G.I. Robot, Nina Mazursky, and Weasel. Each DC Studios Pop! vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. SDCC 2022 Exclusive The Suicide Squad Starro Variant Screen Print by Phantom City Creative x Mondo

Mondo will be at San Diego Comic-Con this year – for the first time as part of the Funko Collective – where they will be releasing a ton of epic pop culture exclusives, including this pretty much perfect SDCC 2022 Exclusive The Suicide Squad Starro Variant Screen Print by Phantom City Creative. If The Blot was going to Comic-Con this year this print would be a must get. I love how PCC integrated Starro into their design. Although I probably won’t be able to get a copy of the variant, Mondo is also releasing a matching Regular Edition that’s pretty great in its own right.

Today, Spoke Art is releasing this fantastic Peacemaker art print “Do Ya Really Wanna?” by artist Scott C.! Inspired by the hit DC Comics HBOMAX streaming series, Scott C. has created a beautiful watercolor painting of the show’s amazing choreographed opening dance sequence. As Spoke Art explained, Scott C. has “been listening to glam rock, studying dance moves and has created an incredible homage to one of our favorite television series of the year, The Peacemaker.”

The Suicide Squad Prequel TV Series Peacemaker starring John Cena is coming to HBOMax!

Here's some pretty cool news.  HBOMax has greenlit a prequel television series for the upcoming The Suicide Squad film, which will be John Cena as The Peacemaker!  The streaming series will be 8 episodes with director James Gunn writing all episodes and directing a number of them.  According to reports, the TV show will be an origin story for Cena’s Peacemaker character.
