Optimus Prime Transformers: Age of Extinction 400% Be@rbrick by Medicom That Actually Transforms!

Optimus Prime Transformers: Age of Extinction 400% Transforming Be@rbrick by Medicom

I’m always shocked when Medicom releases one of these movie tie-in figures months and months after the film’s release. That being said, this new Transformers 400% Be@rbrick that actually transforms is pretty freaking cool! Based on Optimus Prime’s look in Transformers: Age of Extinction, with just the flick of a switch on the back of this figure it effortlessly transforms from a Be@rbrick into the leader of the Autobots.

Released in honor of Transformers' 30th Anniversary, this transforming “Lost Age” Optimus Prime Transformers: Age of Extinction 400% Bearbrick vinyl figure stands approximately 6” tall and is currently available for purchase in Japan for around $50.

San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Transformers Age of Extinction Dinobots Box Set - Grimlock, Strafe, Slug & Snarl

To coincide with the debut of Transformers: Age of Extinction in theaters, Hasbro has put together a pretty cool Dinobots 4 piece box set to be sold exclusively at San Diego Comic-Con 2014! Transformers 4 will have a heavy dose of Dinobots in it, which has long time TF fans actually excited for Michael Bay’s newest abomination. The SDCC 2014 Exclusive Transformers: Age of Extinction Dinobots Box Set includes Voyager scale Grimlock and Deluxe scale Snarl, Strafe and Slug action figures. What’s cool about this set is that it’s a mash-up of each character’s look from the film with their classic Generation 1 black and gold color scheme.

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction Teaser Movie Poster

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction Teaser Poster

Paramount and Hasbro have officially unveiled the tagline for the 2014 live action Transformers film and it’s “Age of Extinction.” It pains me this is our fourth Transformers film and The Blot could not care less. It’s amazing how far the Transformers franchise has fallen in my eyes due to Michael Bay’s fumbling of the movies. I still love all things Transformers Generation 1, but these movie versions of Optimus Prime and company kill me! Then again it makes buckets and buckets of money so what do all of the parties involved care about what The Blot thinks?

Transformers 4: Age of Extinction drives into theaters on June 27, 2014.
