The Blot doesn’t blog much about comic book prop replicas, but this New Gods Mother Box from DC Comics and DC Collectibles is just too freaking awesome to ignore. I mean come on, the Mother Box was created by the king of comics, Jack Kirby! And you know everything The King touch is just plain gold. Plus, The Blot’s a sucker for pretty much anything from Jack Kirby's Fourth World.

For the first time ever we can now own our very own sentient, miniaturized, portable supercomputer and feel like one of the New Gods with this intricately detailed prop replica. Just don't expect it to be able to actually open a boom tube and transport us to New Genesis. The DC Comics Mother Box Prop Replica stands 8.75” tall, and features real working lights and sounds. Lolgolth Gnazgoroth Vinyl Figure by Skinner

Is it just The Blot or has Skinner just completely taken over the toy game in 2014!?! It feels like every other month the California artist is releasing another epic figure! Meet Lolgolth Gnazgoroth, the head that holds the horror, the illuminated one, he who knows the truth of the parallel realm. Is this figure just flat out bonkers or what? I have no idea how Unbox Industries is able to produce a 12” toy like this with so much mind splitting details.

The long awaited first release in the new Skinnerverse x Unbox vinyl figure collection is now available for pre-order exclusively at the Unbox Industries online store. Each Lolgolth Gnazgoroth is meticulously detailed and painstakingly hand finished. This insane figure is currently available in two limited edition unpainted colorways, red and black. Both versions are a timed release (meaning all pre-orders will be fulfilled) and retail for $125. But be sure to get your order in by December 29th because after that these two colorways will be gone forever.

“Blank Red” Stroll Vinyl Figure by Spanky Stokes

After a year of teases and progress shots, Spanky Stokes’ popular mascot Stroll is finally available in beautiful soft Japanese vinyl. The Blot’s been anxiously awaiting the opportunity to get my hands on what I assume is the world’s first toy blog mascot sofubi, and this figure definitely brings the heat! For its very first colorway, John “Spanky” Stokes' Stroll was released in a beautiful unpainted red colorway at last weekend’s “Christmas Kaiju” group art show at Toy Art Gallery.

These awesome 8” vinyl figures feature multiple points of articulation and retail for just $65. I can’t get over how big this adorable monster is! Sadly, the first ever Stroll vinyl figure is already sold out. Here’s hoping the next release is a painted OG Stroll featuring white vinyl with black and grey sprays. Just take my money now!

The Lord of the Rings & The Hobbit Screen Prints by Aaron Horkey, Ken Taylor & Nicolas Delort

Later today Mondo will be releasing three epic prints based on J.R.R. Tolkien’s iconic middle-earth books. First up is Aaron Horkey's The Fellowship of the Ring, which is the final screen print in his amazing Lord of the Rings poster series that's been three years in the making. The poster depicts Gandalf's battle against the Balrog in the Mines of Moria with an incredible attention to detail.

To celebrate the release of the The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies in theaters this week, Mondo will also be releasing movie posters for the previous two The Hobbit films, An Unexpected Journey by Ken Taylor and The Desolation of Smaug by Nicolas Delort. All three screen prints go on sale at a random time today, Tuesday, December 16th, at the Mondo online store.

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring by Aaron Horkey is a 19.25”x39” hand numbered and signed screen print. The Standard Edition is limited to 606 pieces and will retail for $100 each, while the Variant is limited to 361 pieces and will retail for $200.

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey by Ken Taylor is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. It is limited to 325 pieces and will retail for $50.

The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug by Nicolas Delort is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. It is limited to 300 pieces and will retail for $45.

Batman: The Animated Series Wave 4 6” Action Figures

DC Comics continues its celebration of Batman’s 75th Anniversary with a fourth wave of their awesome new line of Batman: The Animated Series 6” action figures! As much as The Blot loves these figures, I’m honestly shocked that this DC Collectibles toy line has made it this long. I guess everything old is new again! This television themed toy line is based on Bruce Timm’s original character designs from Batman: The Animated Series and the New Batman Adventures. Each figure is based on Mattel’s original 4.5” tall with limited articulation figures, and been enlarged to a whopping 6” scale (and 24 points of articulation).

Batman: The Animated Series Wave 4 includes Gray and Black Suit Batman, Batgirl, The Riddler and The Penguin! Each figure comes with multiple accessories and is packaged in a full color blister card. While these awesome 6” figures aren’t scheduled to hit store shelves until July 2015, you can pre-order all four figures from Entertainment Earth for $22.99 each here.

How in the world is it mid-December already!?! The only positive to 2014 being almost over is the newest OTMFG mini figure release dropping today. For December, October Toys has produced the “Black Coal” Brocotal 1.5” PVC mini figure by George Gaspar. It’s the perfect Christmas colorway! Half vegetable, half gnome, this month’s Brocotal mini figure is exactly what you’ll be getting in your stocking from Santa if you’re on the naughty list.

Grits Co. Winter 2014 T-Shirt Collection

I can’t lie, The Blot is glad to see them back with some stellar new products. I’m a huge fan of the brand and their motto, “No Grits No Glory”! You can be sure that this Houston, Texas based indie clothing company has never stopped representing the southern experience in an unapologetic way. Grits Co.’s Winter 2014 Collection predominantly features the brand’s new mascot, Roscrow, in three awesome t-shirt designs. I love the way Grits combines retro graphics with striking typeface. The only problem I have is choosing which tees to order!

I’m hoping there’s an opportunity to buy more than one because the figure’s crystal clear vinyl would be perfect for customizing!

DC Comics x UglyDoll Plush Figures Wave 3

DC Comics collaboration with Uglydoll continues with a third wave of 11” plush figures featuring some of your favorite Uglydoll characters dressed as classic DC Comics superheroes! DC Comics x UglyDoll Plush Figures Wave 3 includes Jeero as The Flash, Ox as Green Lantern and Big Toe as The Joker.  Finally, we get our very first villain from the DC Comics x Uglydoll universe! These look fantastic, but I’m more than a little surprised they didn’t also release a Green Arrow Uglydoll plush to tie-in with the hit television show.

Breaking Bad Saul Goodman Action Figure by Mezco Toyz

While we’re still two months away from Better Call Saul, the Breaking Bad prequel, premiering on AMC, Mezco Toyz is keeping the hype around this iconic franchise alive with another fantastic show accurate, officially licensed action figure. The newest Breaking Bad 6” action figure is of Bob Odenkirk’s beloved criminal defense attorney, Saul Goodman. Not only was Saul a central character in Breaking Bad, but he’s going to be the star of 2015’s Better Call Saul.
