SDCC 2023 Exclusive Dark Knights: Metal Dread Lantern Action Figure by McFarlane Toys x DC Comics

After a brief hiatus, DC Comics will have a booth at San Diego Comic-Con again this year! They will be having a number of big names signing at their booth – including Jim Lee and Todd McFarlane – and releasing some awesome SDCC 2023 exclusive variant covers.  They’re also teaming with Todd McFarlane and his McFarlane Toys to release this San Diego Comic-Con 2023 Exclusive Dark Knights: Metal Dread Lantern Action Figure! This 7” scale limited edition figure can be purchased at the DC Comics SDCC booth #4645.

This incredibly detailed 7” scale figure based on DC Comics was designed with ultra articulation with up to 22 moving parts for full range of posing and play. Dread Lantern includes his Flame Sword and base, and also includes a collectible art card with character art on the front and certificate of authenticity on the back.

Following the defeat of the Anti-Monitor, only one Earth remained! But which Earth? In one timeline, Earth-1’s Superman prevented Earth-2 Superman from going into final battle, but in the Dark Multiverse, it was Jor-El of Earth-2 who survived. When the powerful demon Surtur sought to destroy this new Earth, Green Lantern Alan Scott struck an unthinkable deal to protect his planet and its inhabitants. In exchange for Earth’s safety, Alan volunteered to serve as the demon’s herald. The former Green Lantern now guides Surtur and his armies to unknowing worlds, bringing Ragnarok to trillions upon trillions as the terrible Dread Lantern.

SDCC 2023 Exclusive DC Comics Justice League Metal Miniatures Figures by Factory Entertainment

Factory Entertainment has started to unveil their epic line up of exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con 2023, including these new SDCC 2023 Exclusive DC Comics Justice League Metal Miniatures Figures of The Flash, Aquaman and Green Lantern. Each DC Comics Justice League Metal Miniature figure is crafted in heavy-weight solid metal alloy and are hand painted.

These miniature metal figures stand 2.5” tall and feature a thematic base. Limited to just 200 pieces, these DC Super Heroes can be purchased at the Factory Entertainment SDCC booth #2743 or online at FactoryEnt.com for $40 each. Factory Entertainment has also made a super limited number (less than 50) of seven piece sets of all of the Justice League super heroes released to date.  These 7 figures are regularly priced at $280 but this SDCC exclusive bundle is only $200!

DC Imperial Palace Pop! DC Comics Series 2 Vinyl Figures by Funko

Funko has announced a second wave DC Imperial Palace Pop! vinyl figures based on the heroes and villains of the DC Comics universe!  But this time they’re coming in white boxes instead of Series 1’s unique red boxes. The DC Imperial Palace Pop! Series 2 includes Superman, Wonder Woman, Green Lantern John Stewart and The Flash.

Green Lantern Screen Print by Tom Whalen x Bottleneck Gallery x DC Comics

“Challenge of the Superfriends” DC Comics Screen Print by Dave Perillo x Grey Matter Art

Oh man, The Blot was super pumped to learn Grey Matter Art would be releasing an officially licensed screen print for one of my all time favorite cartoons, Challenge of the Superfriends, by artist Dave Perillo!  This sequel to the iconic DC Comics cartoon Super Friends pits the ‘70s and ‘80s animated version of the Justice League against the evil Legion of Doom.  As GMA explained, “Dave is able to feature all of our favorite characters into this poster making it an ultimate who’s who of DC Superfriends and it also serves quite well as a companion piece to the Justice League Unlimited poster we did earlier this year!”

Justice League Unlimited Screen Print by Dave Perillo x Grey Matter Art

The Blot’s jaw hit the ground yesterday when I learned Grey Matter Art had teamed up with artist Dave Perillo to produce an officially licensed screen print for the iconic DC Comics animated series, Justice League Unlimited!!! JLU was a direct sequel to the Justice League animated series, and focused on the majority of the DC Universe. With this release, Dave showcases some of DC’s most iconic characters displayed in their classic animated form. This poster has some of The Blot’s all time favorite characters – Booster Gold, Fire, Ice, Captain Atom, Vixen, Hawk and Dove – making it a must get for sure! LEGO DC Comics Super Heroes Mini Figure Blind Bag Series 1

Yesterday the internet was set a blaze when news broke that LEGO would be releasing a new DC Super Heroes Mini Figure Blind Bag Series based on DC’s comic book universe! After releasing two DC blind bag mini figure series based on The LEGO Batman Movie, it’s super exciting to finally be getting a LEGO series based on the traditional DC Comics universe. The only disappointing news is that Booster Gold was not included in the series, but at least we’re getting officially licensed LEGO mini figures of Mister Miracle, Huntress and Metamorpho!

Justice League Original 7 Fine Art Sculpture by Alex Ross x Factory Entertainment

Check out this beautiful Justice League of America statue based on the breathtaking art of Alex Ross entitled “Original 7”. Coming Soon: DC Comics Dunny Collection by Kidrobot!

The Blot was flabbergasted to learn earlier this week that Kidrobot will be releasing an entire collection of officially licensed DC Comics Dunny vinyl figures! This is the first time ever Kidrobot has released a Dunny collection of officially licensed characters, and it’s garnering some really mixed reviews from the designer art toy scene. While I’m sad to see the iconic designer art toy platform move in this direction, a Batman Dunny Series is really not that big of a change from KR’s recently released Andy Warhol Series. But at least that collection was an artist series dedicated to his body of work.

That being said, The Blot is a huge DC Comics fanatic and I’m super pumped for this new DC Comics Dunny Collection. How could I not be when Booster Gold (my favorite super hero) is getting his very own 1.5” Dunny keychain!!! And for that I will be eternally grateful to the Kidrobot crew.
