Star Wars: The Force Awakens Official Teaser Trailer #2

Last week at Star Wars Celebration 2015 J.J. Abrams released upon the world the second teaser trailer for this winter’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, and it is truly glorious!!! The Blot seriously can’t watch it enough. This one teaser trailer puts all other movie to shame! Ok, maybe I’m exaggerating a little bit here, but man does this trailer look fantastic. I could probably go on for days about how great this Star Wars trailer is, but I’m not sure I’d say anything the internet’s collective conscious hasn’t said already. So do me a favor, just watch it again for the 5th, 10th, maybe 100th time. It’s worth it!

Agents of SHIELD The Art of Evolution Print Series - “Melinda” by Jenny Frison

Marvel is celebrating the second half of Agents of SHIELD Season 2 with an all new print series based on the hit ABC television show! After the huge success of last year’s The Art of Level 7 print series, Marvel has decided to do it all over again. This season the poster series is entitled “The Art of Evolution,” and for 12 straight weeks Marvel will be releasing a new lithograph for each episode in the back half of Agents of SHIELD Season 2.

The seventh Agents of SHIELD print in this exciting new series is “Melinda” by Jenny Frison! This television poster features Ming-Na Wen as bad ass SHIELD Agent Melinda May! This 16”x24” print is limited to just 100 pieces and comes individually numbered. It is currently available for purchase at the Marvel online store for $49.95 each.

“Ghost” Invincible Iron Man Marvel x ThreeA 1/6 Action Figure

Wow, out of nowhere last week ThreeA dropped a surprise 5th new colorway of its epic Invincible Iron Man Marvel 1/6 action figure! You can see the original four colorways of the Iron Man 1/6 figure here. Based on Ashley Wood’s unique art style, the “Ghost” Iron Man figure features an all white color scheme, stands 13.5” tall, and comes fully articulated/poseable with rubber material wrapping both its arms and legs. This amazingly detailed figure even has light up eyes, palms and chest!

The ThreeA x Marvel “Ghost” Invincible Iron Man 1/6 Action Figure is currently available for purchase exclusively at the Bambaland online store for $220 (including shipping worldwide). The figure is expected to ship during the 3rd quarter of 2015.

The Wizard of OZ Screen Print by DKNG

Mondo continues its colorful The Wizard of OZ Screen Print Series today with a beautiful new movie poster by DKNG! What’s really cool about this release is Mondo has produced three different versions of it with each colorway featuring a different colored horse. Diehard OZ fans know that Dorothy was brought into the Emerald City on a carriage drawn by The Horse of a Different Color, making these three variants movie accurate!

As DKNG explained, “When approaching a film as iconic as The Wizard of Oz, we wanted to find a unique focal point beyond the main iconography of the film. The Horse of a Different Color occupies just a brief scene, but proved to be a great subject for a print series that includes the three different colors - red, purple, and yellow - that the horse takes on in the film. Each print shares three ink colors with the fourth screen customized to provide the color change for each variant.”

“The Wizard of OZ” by DKNG is an 18”x24” hand numbered screen print. Each Horse of a Different Color Variant (Purple, Red and Yellow) is limited to just 175 pieces and will retail for $40. All three prints can be purchased at the Mondo online store today, Tuesday, April 21st, at a random time.

Fantastic Four Final Teaser Movie Poster & First Full Length Trailer

This past weekend FOX gave the world its first full look at the new Fantastic Four with a final reveal teaser theatrical one sheet movie poster and the movie's first full length trailer. Unfortunately, both were really more of the same. The film looks like an amazing sci-fi film in the vein of Interstellar, but it’s far from your typical comic book movie. That’s obviously intentional on FOX’s part, and obviously they feel there’s a big market for that. Why else turn your back on the billions grossing genre that’s popular across the globe?

I will say this, I love Michael B. Jordan’s work and the new action scenes where the FF show off their powers look really cool. But will the general public be able to get past the hardcore sci-fi look of the film? My guess is no. Which is unfortunate, because Marvel’s first family really could use some love. It’s hard to believe this film will hit theaters this summer because there is truly no buzz (at least no good buzz) surrounding the FF.

Fantastic Four’s world premiere is scheduled for August 7, 2015.

Albino Can of Worms Vinyl Figure by Andrew Bell

The final colorway of Andrew Bell’s wacky Can of Worms vinyl figure has been released by BIC Plastics at the group-buy site Massdrop. A really odd decision if you ask The Blot. I really don’t understand the concept, and it’s unclear where the figure will be available after this offering ends in a day or two. It’s a shame BIC Plastics went this route for the figure’s final release. The white Albino Edition Can of Worms features 3 articulated heads and 3 articulated tails, can be displayed with or without its can accessory, and measures 8.5”x6”x4.5”.

Packaged in a full color window box, the Albino Can of Worms vinyl figure by Andrew Bell is limited to just 100 pieces and will retail for between $59.99-49.99 at Massdrop (sorry, I don’t get it either).

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice IMAX Teaser Movie Posters & Teaser Trailer

Over the weekend Zach Snyder and Warner Bros were forced to release early their first teaser trailer for Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice after a blurry, subtitled copy was leaked online. Snyder then went on release two new Batman v Superman IMAX theatrical one sheet teaser movie posters. Now these posters look awesome! If only The Blot could get behind the film and its storyline. This trailer just does nothing for me.

Ok, to be honest The Blot loves the fact that we’re getting a live action film featuring Batman and Superman. Plus, both characters do look great! That being said, the film itself sounds terrible. I’m as big a fan of DC Comics' The Dark Knight Returns by Frank Miller and Klaus Janson, but that story only works with 50+ years of history between the characters. How will that story work with two characters who are just meeting for the first time? And then after wanting to kill each other right off the bat go and form the Justice League? It all just sounds so implausible.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has its world premiere set for March 25, 2016.

Over the weekend, HealeyMade dropped a freaking beautiful crystal clear edition of his bootleg resin figure The Veteran, which combines the head of the Tin Woodsman from The Wizard of Oz with what appears to be a body from an A-Team action figure.
