First Look: The Flash Season 2 Costume

Earlier this week The CW released a surprise first look at The Flash’s new costume for Season 2 of the hit DC Comics television show. When The Blot first heard about this new costume I was really pumped. Rumor had it the show finally corrected the Flash logo on his chest by making the circle white (which they did!) and gave the costume a slightly tweaked color scheme that more closely resembles the comic books.

From the heavily distorted photo above it looks like The Flash TV series hit a home run with its costume 2.0. My only complaint is they kept the terrible and unnecessary New 52 inspired lines on his cowl. If only they’d get rid of those!!! Now I just need to know if they’ve finally given Barry Allen his signature yellow boots and his classic Flash look will be complete. Guess we’ll find out soon…

Batman 75th Anniversary Screen Print Series - “Batman: 1939-2014” by BadMoon Studios

Geek Art and French Paper Art Club continue their officially licensed Batman 75th Anniversary Screen Print Series with “Batman: 1939-2015” by Flynn Prejean of BadMoon Studios! This very ominous DC Comics print has a very old school vibe with Batman’s evil villains depicted in a style very reminiscent of their very first comic book appearances.

“Batman: 1939-2014” by BadMoon Studios is a 24”x32” Batman 75th Anniversary hand numbered 5 color (including 2 metallic inks) screen print. Limited to 100 pieces, this print is currently available for purchase at the French Paper AC online store for €45.

WWE “nWo” 100% & 400% Be@rbrick Vinyl Figures by Medicom

Medicom continues its line of officially licensed WWE Be@rbricks with this awesome black and white New World Order design. It’s just too sweet! Now you can rep the coolest faction in all of professional wrestling with these simple, yet bad ass, nWo 100% and 400 Be@rbrick vinyl figures. While there’s not much to these designs, each Be@rbrick sports the iconic nWo logo on its chest and the modern day WWE logo on the back of its right leg.

The nWo 100% WWE Be@rbrick stands 2.75” tall and will retail for around $15, while the nWo 400% WWE Be@rbrick stands 11” tall and will retail for around $70. It looks like this is another one of Medicom’s Japanese exclusives, but The Blot is hoping they show up here in the states as well.

Batman: The Animated Series “Mad Love” Action Figure 2 Pack feat The Joker & Harley Quinn

DC Comics continues its celebration of Batman: The Animated Series with its ever expanding super articulated 6” scale toy line based on the classic ‘90s Kenner action figures. DC’s next B:TAS release is based on the Batman: The Animated Series comic book one shot “Mad Love”, which won an Eisner Award for “Best Single Story” in 1994 and is considered by many one of the greatest comic books of all time. The “Mad Love” Box Set features action figures of Gotham City's resident lovebird inmates, The Joker and Harley Quinn, and a paperback edition of Batman: The Animated Series Mad Love.

The Batman: The Animated Series “Mad Love” Action Figure 2 Pack will be available in two different editions later this year and early next year: the Original Edition features The Joker in a black suit and Harley in her classic, original costume, while the Second Edition features The Joker in metallic purple suit and Harley in a negligee. Joker stands 6” tall and Harley Quinn is 5.5” tall. Both sets are currently up for pre-order at Entertainment Earth for $39.99 each here.

Celebrate Star Trek: Voyager’s 20th Anniversary at Space City Comic Con This Weekend!

Star Trek fans from around the globe will be traveling to Houston this weekend for the Star Trek: Voyager 20th Anniversary Celebration at Space City Comic Con! For this special event, SCCC will be hosting many of the series’ main cast, including Kate Mulgrew (Captain Kathryn Janeway), Robert Beltran (Chakotay), Ethan Phillips (Neelix), Robert Picardo (The Doctor), Tim Russ (Tuvok), Garrett Wang (Harry Kim) and Manu Intiraymi (Icheb). Along with panels, photo ops and singings, Space City Comic Con will also be hosting a very special Voyager 20th Anniversary ticketed event featuring all seven cast members on one stage!

Along with this huge television reunion, Space City Comic Con will also be welcoming the original Star Trek captain William Shatner, Doctor Who's Karen Gillan and Arthur Darvill, Agent Carter's Chad Michael Murray, Arrow's Manu Bennett, Constantine's Matt Ryan, and more Power Rangers than you can shake a stick at! SCCC will also have a who’s who of comic book creators such as Brett Booth, Allen Bellman, Ken Lashley, Scott Kolins, Norm Rapmund, Ryan Benjamin, Carlo Barberi, Marat Mychaels, and Sean “Cheeks” Galloway.

The Walking Dead Minimates Series 8

With The Walking Dead comic book series expanding in shocking directions and the TV series running as strong as ever, there's never been a better time to be a Walking Dead fan!
