First Look: SDCC 12 Exclusive Cyborg Labbit by Chuckboy

First Look: San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Cyborg Labbit by Chuckboy

Yesterday’s big San Diego Comic-Con 2012 exclusive from Kidrobot was this awesome Cyborg Labbit by Chuckboy and man does it look awesome! Just check out this pic from Kidrobot’s Instagram account. Chuckboy’s Cyborg Dunny is definitely one of the most popular 3” release from the past few years (I swear I see a new custom of it every single day), and this Labbit will make an excellent companion for it. Cheers to everyone that picked up this 7” Labbit today at SDCC.

Only 300 survived the mutation, but that’s why Labbits boink like they do – to survive! With a sudden cigarette shortage, it was time to take drastic and evolutionary action. Enter sexy technology, boasting the ability to smork non-stop without wasting time trying to light up without opposable thumbs. After one sweaty night at the Silicon Valley Motel, the Cyborg Labbit Excelsiors were born. 7-inch vinyl labbits with a tip that never cools, and a butthole that’s always charged – now that’s a hybrid. NYC-based artist Chuckboy upgrades Kozik’s iconic labbit, making it better, faster, and smorkier July 12 exclusively at San Diego Comic Con 2012 for $75.

Day 2 – Friday, July 13
SDCC Exclusive Prosperity Edition Mahākāla 8” Dunny
Signing by Andrew Bell, 12-2pm

Dunny-sattvas take wrathful form when a gentler approach is not effective. Seemingly demonic, the Mahākāla deity is a stern protector. With his trident, he fights the poisons that blind – pride, lust, greed, and ignorance – and destroys those that hinder the knowledge of enlightenment. He has four arms, three eyes, and one fiery crown. Some compare him to death; others hail him as a glorious guard. All know him to be fierce. The 8-inch Mahākāla Dunny by Andrew Bell – wrathful in name, and protective in nature – is inspired by the Mahākāla character, ever present in ceremonies throughout the Himalayan region, originating with ancient Indian and Nepalese culture. Prosperity Edition is limited to 300 pieces, and rules with a trident accessory, extra set of articulated arms, and removable Dunny skull belt. Set to release at Kidrobot Booth #4529 at San Diego Comic Con for $100.

Tuco crashes through a window, covered in the blood of two men. Ruthless and winged, this 11-inch vinyl Skullslinger is tall, dark, and deadly. Constantly confronted with death, Tuco walks the edge, always one foot from the grave. Limited to 300 worldwide, Tuco draws his guns July 13, retailing for $100 and available exclusively at San Diego Comic Con 2012, Kidrobot Booth #4529.

Kidrobot 2Tone Dunny Series Checklist & Ratios

Besides a few “leaked” photos, Kidrobot has been completely silent about today’s release of its newest 3” Dunny blind box series, the 2Tone Series. With that being said, you'd have to be living under a rock to not know that the series dropped today in extremely limited quantities! If you’re hoping to pick up a few blind boxes or even a case (which includes 16 blind boxes), you’d better act quickly as these are selling out everywhere and it’s only 9am.

Kidrobot 2Tone Dunny Series Checklist & Ratios
Since Kidrobot has still not made an official announcement about its 2Tone Dunny Series, The Blot thought I’d throw together a crude little checklist for all the collectors out there. The Blot’s 2Tone Checklist includes every design in the series and its official ratio as stated on the series' packaging. Thanks to Neon Monster for most of the photos above!!!

Kidrobot’s 2Tone Dunny Series is available now for $9.95 per blind box at Kidrobot stores, Kidrobot.com and select retailers worldwide. There are 14 figures in the 2Tone Dunny Series, which includes designs by Huck Gee, Gary Baseman, Doktor A, Angry Woebots, Aya Kakeda, Pon, Chuckboy, Tad Carpenter, Steven Harrington, Chuckboy, Ryan Bubnis, Aaron Meshon, Maxx242, and mcbess.

First Look: Cyborg Dunny by Chuckboy - 2tone Dunny Series

After posting a teaser image of Chuckboy’s Cyborg Dunny from Kidrobot’s upcoming 2tone Series a few weeks ago, KR president Paul Budnitz unveiled the final product yesterday and it looks sick! I love the prosthetic parts of Chuckboy’s Cyborg Cat, especially that right hand. I can only imagine what customizers are going to be doing with this all new Dunny mold.

Kidrobot 2tone Dunny Series - Cyborg 3 Inch Dunny by Chuckboy
It looks like there will be no official annoucement concerning Kidrobot’s next 3 inch blind box series, but from all the rumors I've heard it looks like this very limited series is dropping tomorrow! So if you want some of these limited edition Dunnys, start lining up now!

2tone Dunny Series Sneak Peek: Cyborg Dunny by Chuckboy

Well it looks like Kidrobot president Paul Budnitz has let the cat out of the bag! After almost 2 years of speculation, the long rumored 2tone Dunny Series (formally the Black & White Series?) looks to be in development. The KRonikle confirmed yesterday that the photos below are of a Cyborg Dunny prototype (sans arm) by Chuckboy for the upcoming 2tone Dunny Series.

From the little we can see here, Chuckboy’s Cyborg Dunny looks very, very promising! If nothing else, it’s cool to see Kidrobot working on an all new Dunny sculpt for this design. No other details about Kidrobot’s 2tone Dunny Series are currently known, but you can be sure The Blot will be blogging about it once more information becomes available.

Kidrobot - 3 Inch Endangered Dunny Series

Coming very soon to a store near you (on May 21st to be exact) is Kidrobot’s latest 3 inch Dunny Series entitled Endangered! Kidrobot - 3 Inch Endangered Dunny Series banner
Artists with Dunnys in the series include Amanda Visell, Aya Kakeda, Elizabeth Berdann, Chuckboy, Frank Kozik, Jeremyville, Joe Ledbetter, Kronk, Michelle Valigura, Mr. Shane Jessup, Sket One, Tad Carpenter, Triclops Studio and Touma. Rumor has it Kidrobot’s latest 3” Dunny series will be extremely limited edition, which is how Kidrobot is justifying yet another blind box price increase. The Endangered Dunny Series will now retail for $8.95 a box.

And just released yesterday by Kidrobot’s own Toy Baroness comes the above picture of all 13 standard animal Dunnys in the Endangered Series. (link) Can you identify which design goes with which artist? The Touma blue knuckle bear in the back left corner should be obvious. The furry lion is Chuckboy’s and the chainsaw wielding pig is none other than Sket One’s. I’ve figured out most of them, but will leave the fun in identifying them to you! More details to follow as they become available.

Kidrobot - Reindeer Dunny by Chuckboy

Kidrobot - 3 Inch Reindeer Dunny and Packaging by ChuckboyKidrobot’s 4th annual holiday 3 inch Dunny comes out today, and to be honest The Blot is not really feeling this year’s figure. Designed by Chuckboy, the 3” doe-eyed deviant Reindeer Dunny rewards nice kids with his removable bull whip and vinyl antlers. While the Dunny its self is just ok, the figure's accessories are awesome. What could have made this figure so much cooler is if the Reindeer had been flocked. Who wouldn’t want a cuddly, furry Reindeer to add to their Dunny collection!?!

Kidrobot - 3 Inch Reindeer Dunny by Chuckboy
The Reindeer Dunny is blind boxed and there are two variant figures for those of us lucky enough to find them. One of the chase figures has been confirmed to be a lighter colored Reindeer that comes with a spiked paddle that reads Santa backwards instead of the common figure’s bull whip. No news yet on the design of the extremely rare 3rd Reindeer chase figure.

Kidrobot - 3 Inch Reindeer Dunny by Chuckboy Front & Back
Each 3 inch Reindeer Dunny blind box retails for $9.95 and you can purchase one directly from Kidrobot’s online store here.
