Like any good Firefly fan, The Blot prefers my Jayne Cobb wearing his signature knitted hat! So I was really excited to find out Funko was teaming up with Diamond Comics’ Previews to release a variant Jayne Cobb Firefly Legacy Collection 6” action figure that includes his trademark orange and yellow pom beanie. Now this is how every Jayne figure should look!

The Previews Exclusive Firefly Jayne Cobb with Hat Legacy Collection action figure stands 6” tall, features over 20 points of articulation, and comes with three character specific accessories, including his trusty Callahan Full-bore Auto-lock, nicknamed “Vera”, all packaged in a full color window box. Firefly Legacy Collection 6” Action Figure Series 1 by Funko

While Funko’s Legacy Collection 6” action figures look really nice, except for Game of Thrones The Blot’s been pretty underwhelmed by the properties Funko has chosen for the toy line. That all changed last weekend when Funko unveiled their new line of Firefly Legacy Collection action figures at Toy Fair 2015! I’m a huge fan of Joss Whedon’s Firefly/Serenity universe, and am so excited to see Captain Mal and the crew of the Serenity finally get released as highly articulated 6” scale action figures. Firefly Legacy Collection Action Figure Series 1 includes Malcolm Reynolds, Jayne Cobb, Zoe Washburne, Hoban Washburne and Kaylee Frye.

Funko is releasing its first ever San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Legacy Collection action figure, and it’s this epic Game of Thrones Glow in the Dark White Walker! Legacy Collection action figures stand approximately 6-6.5” tall, features 20+ points of articulation, and character specific removable accessories, like the White Walker’s spear. Packaged in a full color window box, Game of Thrones fans can pick up this limited edition action figure exclusively at the Funko SDCC booth.

Game of Thrones Legacy Collection Action Figures Series 1 by Funko

Funko has officially unveiled the first wave of action figures from its highly articulated and super detailed Legacy Collection, which will feature characters from some of pop culture’s biggest franchises! Funko’s been teasing this new toy line for awhile now, and from the pictures The Blot’s seen so far it has definitely been worth the wait! These figures look like an amazing mash-up of the detailing and styling of Hasbro’s Star Wars Black line with the articulation of Mattel’s DC Universe Classics line. As long as Funko’s QC holds up, this should be an epic new toy line collectors of all ages will enjoy.

Funko’s first Legacy Collection release features 6 characters from HBO’s hit television show Game of Thrones. The Game of Thrones Legacy Collection Series 1 includes Ned Stark, Jon Snow, Tyrion Lannister, Daenerys Targaryen, The Hound and a White Walker. Each figure stands 6-6.5” tall, features 20+ points of articulation, and character specific removable accessories.

Game of Thrones Legacy Collection Series 1 will initially be sold exclusively at Barnes & Noble, and is scheduled to hit stores this week just in time for the release of Game of Thrones: The Complete Third Season DVD on February 18th. This series will then see a wider release at additional retail partners on March 4th. A second series of Game of Thrones Legacy Collection action figures are expected to drop in Fall 2014.
