Loyal K.N.G. Spring 2014 T-Shirt Collection Online Release

The Blot can’t believe how long it’s been since our friends at Loyal K.N.G. have had an online release! These awesome designers from North Texas have been grinding so hard this past year they’ve been releasing Loyal K.N.G.’s new t-shirt designs almost exclusively in person at their many tour stops throughout the Southwest at every big sneaker meet-up, clothing and lifestyle summit and comic-con. Thankfully, last week Loyal K.N.G. updated their online store with its new Spring 2014 T-Shirt Collection!

The Loyal K.N.G. Spring 2014 T-Shirt Collection is chock full of awesome pop culture designs, including homages to Godzilla and the video game Ōkami, and two funky type tees. Add in a classic Atama design (Loyal K.N.G.’s mascot), two retro military themed designs, and a nautical themed mini-collection and you have one of Loyal K.N.G.’s most extensive and diverse collections ever! I can’t wait to get my hands on a couple of these tees.

Loyal K.N.G. Spring/Summer 2013 T-Shirt Collection

The creative minds over at Loyal K.N.G. have unleashed another fantastic pop culture inspired collection of t-shirts. Their Loyal K.N.G. Spring/Summer 2013 T-Shirt Collection has a little something for everyone, especially if you’re a hip-hop, movie, music or animation buff! I mean come on, who doesn’t want to sport the Tupac x The Simpsons design “Homme-Pac” the awesome Daft Punk tee inspired by their new album Random Access Memories. They’ve even brought back one of my all time favorite Loyal K.N.G. t-shirts, the Super Mario Bros. x Daft Punk mash-up “Daft Bomb”!

Loyal K.N.G. Fall 2012 T-Shirt Collection

Loyal K.N.G. has dropped its Fall 2012 T-Shirt Collection and it’s jam packed with pop culture goodness! There are seven designs in all, including an awesome Simpsons inspired Donut Atama tee that’s gotta be seen to be believed. This new collection also includes a Dragon Ball Z design and two Egyptian themed t-shirts that brings a unique take on Loyal K.N.G.’s trademark themes. But the design The Blot loves the most is the typographical shirt “Stop Hate, Make Love.” It may just be me, but it’s got a very Scott Pilgrim vibe to it.

The Avengers Atama Collection by Loyal K.N.G.

Two of the last three weekends The Blot’s gotten to hang out with the Loyal K.N.G. crew at different events in Houston. I always love checking out their new releases in person, but this time they had a little something extra. You see, this summer they released a very secret series of Marvel themed Atama t-shirts in honor of the summer's biggest blockbuster The Avengers! And seriously, what’s better than a tee featuring the Loyal K.N.G. mascot Atama dressed up as Marvel’s most popular super heroes!?!

The Avengers Atama Collection by Loyal K.N.G. includes Atama dressed as Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Spider-Man, the Incredible Hulk and Wolverine. Each design is available in two different colored t-shirts and can be yours for just $20. All of these designs are pretty sweet, but here’s the catch…this unannounced release can’t be purchased online!

The only way to get your hands on these Avengers Atama designs is by attending an event where Loyal K.N.G. has set up shop. This hard working crew is constantly crisscrossing Texas, so be sure to keep your eyes peeled to their website to find out when they’ll be in your town soon.

Loyal K.N.G. Chain Breakers T-Shirt Collection

For its Spring 2012 Collection, Texas indie brand Loyal K.N.G. introduced its thought provoking new line of Chain Breakers and Idea Makers designs (along with a number of its trademark pop culture inspired t-shirts). This new line is all about breaking the chains of the everyday rat race by establishing unique and groundbreaking ideas. And The Blot knows we can all relate to Loyal K.N.G.’s new motto: "Day-Time Dreamers, Late-night Hustlers." Most of us toil away at our 9-5 jobs while daydreaming about our true passions (whatever they may be).

Loyal K.N.G. Winter 2011 T-Shirt Collection

I don’t know where I’ve been, but evidently last week Loyal K.N.G. released its Winter 2011 T-Shirt Collection. This Texas indie brand always injects a heavy dose of pop culture references in their designs, and they definitely went all out on this collection! From sports, movies and anime to hip-hop, comic books and video games, the Loyal K.N.G. Winter collection has a little bit of everything in it. This is definitely the clothing line for all you pop culture connoisseurs to check out.

One of my favorite new t-shirts in this release is the “Mojo Power” design. It’s a crazy mash-up of Caesar from the Rise of the Planet of the Apes film, Mojo Jo Jo from The Powerpuff Girls, and the “Power” music video by Kanye West. You really can’t ask for much more pop culture goodness crammed into one t-shirt design than that, can you!?!

For the sports fans there’s the Atlanta Braves inspired “Atamahawk” and the Oakland Raiders themed “Toon Raider” t-shirts. Both designs feature Atama, the Loyal K.N.G. mascot, reinterpreted as a professional sports team’s logo. The Loyal K.N.G. Loyal K.N.G. Atama Logo Black Snapback

Next up in The Blot's Snapback Day is Loyal K.N.G.’s very first snapback hat, which dropped earlier this week.  Isn't it a beauty? Loyal K.N.G. Spring 2011 T-Shirt Collection

The Blot has been anxiously awaiting the online release of Loyal K.N.G.’s Spring 2011 T-Shirt Collection ever since teaser images of its designs first hit the web weeks ago. Like The Blot, the Loyal K.N.G. crew is crazy about pop culture and it really shows in all of their clothing. What makes this collection extra special is how heavily influenced it is by comic books (and DC Comics at that). In fact, three of the collection’s eight designs pay homage to iconic DC comics Superman, Batman and The Watchmen.

The Loyal K.N.G. Spring 2011 Collection also features some killer pop culture mash-ups. “Final Tales” features some of Loyal K.N.G.’s favorite childhood fairy tales into one crazy design. They’ve taken the three little pigs, little red riding hood and the big bad wolf and re-imagined them as if they were characters in the classic video game Final Fantasy. “Bat Luchadora” combines video game Bomber-man with Batman (and Bane), and features a killer lucha libre themed design. For “Son of KNG”, Loyal K.N.G. took Rorschach from The Watchmen and combined him with elements from René Magritte’s “Son of Man” painting for a truly unique design.

Loyal K.N.G. x Sneaks Up 5 “Throw Your Sneaks Up” T-Shirt

Sneaks Up 5, the preeminent sneaker event in the state of Texas, took place yesterday in San Antonio. Sneaks Up showcases the finest sneaker collections in the country plus the best street culture vendors in Texas. Loyal K.N.G. was there and even teamed up with the Sneaks Up crew to produce an exclusive “Throw Your Sneaks Up” t-shirt featuring some very recognizable characters (Iron Man, Spider-Man and Wolverine). Is this a design right up The Blot’s alley or what? Superheroes and sneakers, what a great collaboration!

The Sneaks Up 5 x Loyal K.N.G. “Throw Your Sneaks Up” t-shirt was released exclusively at Sneaks Up 5 on Sunday, April 17th, in San Antonio for $30. This tee had a limited edition run size of just 50 shirts, and may already be sold out! But any remaining stock will go on sale sometime soon at the Loyal K.N.G. online store. Loyal K.N.G. Winter 2010 Collection

If you love pop culture as much as The Blot, then I suggest you check out the awesome t-shirts and hoodies from Texas indie clothing brand Loyal K.N.G. (Knowledge Never Goes)! I first learned about the talented artists that make up Loyal K.N.G. a few months ago, and finally got to meet them at the H-Town Sneaker Summit a few weeks ago. They have really mastered the art of taking pop culture icons and turning them on their head in fun designs (take for instance their “Ghostly DOOM!” design, which features a mash-up of Casper the Friendly Ghost and rapper MFDoom).

Earlier this week Loyal K.N.G. officially released their Winter 2010 collection, which I got to see in person at the aforementioned H-Town Sneaker Summit. It’s made up of four unique designs, each featuring some pop culture heavyweights. “Warriors,” The Blot’s favorite of the four new designs, reimagines the Scott Pilgrim crew as The Warriors gang from the 1979 film of the same name. “United Monsters” depicts everyone's favorite monster Godzilla with his friends and foes setting aside their differences in a united monster effort.

Next up is Loyal K.N.G.’s “Bad Apple” t-shirt. The apple is an iconic fruit; it's been labeled as the fruit of knowledge, the forbidden fruit, and is commonly used in combination with poison to send princesses into a deep sleep, however at Loyal K.N.G. their apples are dope fresh! Last but not least is the killer Daft Punk x Super Mario Bros mash-up “Daft Bomb.” Loyal K.N.G. are huge Daft Punk fans, and they pay tribute to the French duo with this illustration featuring Guy-Manuel de Homem-Christo and Thomas Bangalter riding a Bullet Bill, the missile-like enemy of Mario and Lugi.
