Pop CultJerks T-Shirt Collection by Alex Pardee

Artist Alex Pardee has released a new collection of pop culture inspired t-shirt designs in his signature macabre style entitled “Pop CultJerks”. As Alex explained, it’s him “Having Fun With What I Love” while “Making Fun Of What You Love”, which is actually a pretty cool take on the pop culture genre. The Blot loves how Pardee has reimagined some of the most popular characters from the last 30 years, and..well..kills them. LOL! There’s t-shirt designs featuring Star Wars, Ren and Stimpy, Beavis and Butt-head, the Peanuts gang, RoboCop, Garfield, M.A.S.K., the Kool-Aid Man and so much more!

SDCC 2017 Exclusive Revolution Comic Book Crossover Action Figure Box Set by Hasbro x IDW

Hasbro is currently working to launch a new live action movie universe – starting with Transformers – that will include all of their action figure toy lines popular back in the 1980s. What’s so difficult about this is that most of these toy lines have never crossed over before. So to start sowing the seeds of a shared universe, Hasbro has teamed up with comic book publisher IDW to launch a Hasbro comic book universe that includes Transformers, G.I. Joe, ROM the Space Knight, M.A.S.K., Action Man, Visionaries and Micronauts. Not only is that a tall ask of IDW, it’s somewhat confusing combining that many strikingly different concepts into one story. To kick off this new Hasbro universe, IDW has written a new storyline called “Revolution”, which runs through all of their Hasbro comic books.

To commemorate this massive undertaking by IDW, Hasbro is releasing the San Diego Comic-Con 2017 Exclusive Revolution Comic Crossover Mega Set that includes characters from all seven toy lines! This limited edition comic book inspired set includes The Transformers’ Jetfire, G.I. Joe’s Roadblock, M.A.S.K.’s Matt Trakker, Action Man, ROM the Space Knight, Visionaries’ Leoric, and a bunch of Micronauts. This set also includes villains like a Dire Wraith and even some evil Micronauts.

Hasbro’s San Diego Comic-Con 2017 Exclusive Revolution Comic Book Crossover Action Figure Box Set will retail for $99.99 at the Hasbro Toy Store SDCC booth. Any remaining sets will be made available at HasbroToyShop.com after the convention.

Breaking Bad “Final GID Blue” Heisenberg M.U.S.C.L.E. Resin Mini Figure by Healeymade

After originally debuting at New York Comic Con 2013, the third and final colorway of Healeymade’s extremely popular Heisenberg Breaking Bad M.U.S.C.L.E. resin mini figure dropped last weekend at the Healeymade online store! Sadly it sold out almost immediately upon release. Cast in beautiful glow in the dark blue resin, the “Final GID Blue” Heisenberg is a 1.5” kitbashed resin M.U.S.C.L.E. man based on Breaking Bad’s Walter White’s alter ego, the meth kingpin Heisenberg. He is the one who knocks!

Breaking Bad “Flesh” Heisenberg M.U.S.C.L.E. Resin Mini Figures by Healeymade

If you missed Healeymade’s release of the “Blue Sky” Heisenberg Breaking Bad M.U.S.C.L.E. resin mini figure last month you’re in luck! Later today Healeymade will be releasing a new Hesenberg keshi mini figure colorway, this time in the traditional M.U.S.C.L.E. “flesh” color. This 1.5” kitbashed resin M.U.S.C.L.E. man is based on Breaking Bad’s Walter White’s alter ego, the meth kingpin Heisenberg. But that’s not all, the “Flesh” Heisnberg will only be sold in a 2 piece set with Claude Lamano, a mash-up of M.U.S.C.L.E. and M.A.S.K. figures.

G.I. Joe - Specialist Matt Trakker of M.A.S.K. Action Figure Carded

Hasbro recently released photos of the packaged G.I. Joe Matt Trakker action figure. Usually the packaging for a common figure isn’t that exciting, except when it’s for a G.I. Joe/M.A.S.K. cross-over figure. You see the Specialist Trakker figure features prominently the official M.A.S.K. logo in its upper right hand corner, something I never expected to see.


I always thought this was just a tribute figure to the 80’s M.A.S.K. toy/cartoon line, meaning any likeness in appearance or name to M.A.S.K.’s Matt Trakker would be strictly unofficial. But I’m glad to see I was wrong, especially now that the creation of the Specialist Trakker action figure brings M.A.S.K. into official G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero cannon. This is even more exciting news than finding out the figure was to be produced in the first place. Here’s hoping we see future additions of M.A.S.K. and V.E.N.O.M. characters into the ranks of G.I. Joe and Cobra sometime soon.

G.I. Joe Enlists the Leader of M.A.S.K.

As a child of the 80’s I think this is one of the coolest crossovers to hit a mass produced toy line in a really long time, if ever. Hasbro is releasing a tribute figure of the leader of M.A.S.K., Matt Trakker. As many of you may remember M.A.S.K., which stands for Mobile Armored Strike Kommand, was an animated television series from the mid-80’s that featured a G.I. Joe type task force with a twist, their vehicles could transform into a completely different vehicle, both of which were controlled by their driver’s mask.


It just so happens that M.A.S.K. also fought against a snake themed villainous organization similar to G.I. Joe’s Cobra, V.E.N.O.M., which stood for Vicious Evil Network of Mayhem and was led by the evil Miles Mayhem. It seems to me like this team-up between two classic 80’s cartoons/toy lines was meant to happen. Who could have imagined that over 20 years after M.A.S.K. left the airwaves we’d have our very first cross-over between G.I. Joe and M.A.S.K.


The reason all of this is possible is because Kenner, the original holder of the M.A.S.K. toy license, was purchased by Hasbro in 1991. Since Hasbro also owns G.I. Joe, the two teams were finally able to join forces to protect the world from evil.


Specialist Trakker, as the character has been renamed, will be a part of G.I. Joe’s 11th wave of its 3 3/4” 25th Anniversary action figure line. The figure is schedule to be released in November 2008 with a suggested retail price of $6.99.
