Over the weekend Disney released this awesome new Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 Marvel Vinylmation Series! Based on Marvel’s upcoming live action Guardians of the Galaxy sequel directed by James Gunn, this 3” Vinylmation blind box series includes Star-Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Gamora, Groot, Drax, Mantis, Yondu, plus a mystery chaser. We know the mystery chaser is Nebula and there is a variant Groot in his GotG uniform. Rumor is there may also be a Gamora variant floating around out there as well.

Marvel Vinylmation Series 4 includes Captain America, Iron Man Mark 1 Armor, Doctor Octopus, Black Suite Spider-Man, Beta Ray Bill, Deathlok, The Falcon, a HYDRA Agent, Maria Hill, M.O.D.O.K., Squirrel Girl and a mystery chaser. Rumor is the chase figure in this series is ‘70s era Ghost Rider!

Yesterday, with absolutely no announcement or fanfare, Disney released this awesome new Captain America: Civil War Marvel Vinylmation Series! Released to commemorate opening weekend of the film, this new Captain America: Civil War Vinylmation 3” Series was designed by artists Thomas Scott and includes Captain America (with removable shield accessory), The Falcon, Black Widow, Winter Soldier, Black Panther, Iron Man and War Machine, plush two mystery variants and one mystery chaser.

We know already Crossbones is the mystery chaser and an Unmasked Tony Stark is one of the variants. Team Cap members feature blue ears, while Team Iron Man members feature red ears. Avengers: Age of Ultron Marvel Vinylmation Blind Box Series by Disney

Last Friday, May 1st, Disney released this awesome Avengers: Age of Ultron Vinylmation Series to coincide with the US premiere of the blockbuster Marvel film! This mini blind box series includes just five Avengers character, Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Hawkeye and Black Widow. The Blot can’t believe there’s no Ultron or Hulk figures in this series! Then again, I should just be happy Disney produced AoU Vinylmation figures at all.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron Marvel Vinylmation Series went on sale May 1st at the new Super Hero Headquarters at the Walt Disney World Resort, and will go on sale at D Street in the Downtown Disney District at the Disneyland Resort and other select locations at Walt Disney World Resort beginning May 8th. This open edition series is sold blind box style for $12.95 each.

Marvel Vinylmation 2 Pack - Red Hulk & Red She-Hulk

Last week Disney announced an all new Marvel Vinylmation 2 Pack, and The Blot is excited! This Incredible Hulk themed release designed by Thomas Scott features the powerful Red Hulk (Thunderbolt Ross) and Red She-Hulk (Betty Ross). While the Red Hulk and Red She-Hulk are relatively new heroes, their secret identities are two of the oldest characters in the Marvel Universe. The Blot especially loves the gamma radiation radiating from their Mickey Mouse ears!

Yesterday, January 9th, Disney released its newest Marvel Vinylmation Eachez blind box figure, and it’s a 3” Vinylmation of Spider-Man’s secret identity, Peter Parker. An Eachez release is when Disney releases just one single design blind box style with a very rare chase variant randomly inserted. For this release, designed by artist Thomas Scott, Peter Parker shows his two-faces. The standard design features Peter with his Spider Sense tingling and half his face covered by his Spider-Man hood, while the chase variant is the classic Peter Parker look.

The Peter Parker Marvel Vinylmation vinyl figure stands 3” tall, is limited to 2,500 pieces, and will retailed for $16.95 per blind box. An Eachez release is when Disney releases just one single design blind box style with a very rare chase variant randomly inserted. The standard design in the classic Ant-Man uniform worn by Hank Pym, while the chase figure is Ant-Man’s updated look from the 2012 Marvel comic book series FF and worn by Scott Lang. The redesigned uniform is based on the art of superstar artist Mike Allred.

Later today Disney will be releasing an all new Marvel Vinylmation 2 Pack! This Iron Man themed release features two key Iron Man armors from the movies and comic books, Iron Patriot and War Machine. Don’t these look fantastic!?! I like how they incorporated War Machine’s signature shoulder gun turret into one of his Mickey Mouse ears.

After Disney released their hugely popular Avengers themed Marvel Vinylmation Series 1 last year, it was only a matter of time until they released a second series, and here it is! Designed once again by Thomas Scott, Marvel Vinylmation Series 2 is Spider-Man themed and features ol’ webhead and a ton of his most popular allies and villains. Hawkeye Marvel Vinylmation Series 1 Combo Pack Topper

The final figure in Disney’s new Marvel Vinylmation Series 1 is this epic Hawkguy, er...Hawkeye, Vinylmation 3” vinyl figure! Hawkeye has always been one of The Blot’s favorite Marvel super heroes, and this figure features the character’s look in the hit Marvel ongoing comic book series Hawkeye by Matt Fraction and David Aja. Sadly, the Hawkeye Vinylmation figure is only available at Walt Disney World and Disneyland as a combo pack topper, which is a window box attached to a random blind box. Now who’s going to Disney this winter!?!

Marvel Vinylmation 2 Pack - Yellowjacket & The Wasp

Last weekend Disney released its first (but hopefully not last) Marvel Vinylmation 2 Pack featuring Yellowjacket and The Wasp! Both look fantastic, although The Blot was a little surprised they went with Hank Pym as Yellowjacket instead of his more popular alter ego, Ant-Man. I assume this was because Ant-Man will be included in Marvel Vinylmation Series 2, timed with the release of the upcoming live action Ant-Man feature film. Both figures were designed by Thomas Scott, and were released during a special signing by the artist at Disneyland.

The Marvel Vinylmation Yellowjacket and The Wasp 2 Pack has a limited edition run size of 1,000 sets and retails for $29.99 each.
