Marvel’s The Inhumans Television Series Character Poster Set #2

While Marvel’s upcoming, live action The Inhumans television series appears to be absolutely terrible, the show’s newest set of character posters actually look pretty cool (well, except Madusa – she’s a lost cause). One of the reasons why is the characters more closely resemble their comic book counterparts. That and we’re shielded from the cheesy special effects of the upcoming ABC television series.

Marvel’s The Inhumans will air this fall on ABC and stars Anson Mount as Black Bolt, Serinda Swan as Medusa, Isabelle Cornish as Crystal, Eme Ikwuakor as Gorgon, Ken Leung as Karnak, Mike Moh as Triton and Iwan Rheon as the evil Maximus.

Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Animated Universe Minimates Series 6 by Diamond Select Toys

Marvel has unveiled that Diamond Select Toys will be continuing its Walgreens exclusive line of Minimates mini figures based on the Marvel Animated Universe! It’s hard to believe this will be the sixth wave of Minimates 2 Packs based on Marvel’s popular animated Television shows Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble. The Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Animated Universe Minimates Series 6 will feature four 2 packs: Spider-Man with Iron Fist, White Tiger with Iron Patriot, The Vision with Abomination, and Black Bolt with Medusa.

Each Marvel Animated Universe Minimates Series 6 Set includes two 2” mini figures featuring 14 points of articulation and a variety of interchangeable character specific parts and accessories. Look for this new series to arrive in Walgreens stores in late summer 2017 and retail for between $10-15.

Marvel’s Inhumans TV Series Character Poster Set

The show that came out looking the worst after San Diego Comic-Con 2017 has to be Marvel’s upcoming live action Inhumans show on ABC. That first trailer for the series looks terrible! You have to wonder who looked at this show and thought it looked good, especially since some of the same Marvel people have been overseeing the new X-Men show on FOX, Gifted, which looks amazing. I will say Lockjaw looks pretty damn cool, and I’m definitely intrigued by Iwan Rheon’s Maximus. But why oh why does Serinda Swan’s Medusa look so, so terrible!?!

While we’re still a few months away from the show’s premiere, they have released a pretty cool looking new set of Inhumans character television poster set. I like how they’ve incorporated Black Bolt’s signature antenna, even though he doesn’t appear to ever wear it on the show. The first chapter of Inhumans will premiere early on IMAX in theaters on September 1st. The series will then start airing on September 29th on ABC.

SDCC 2017 Exclusive Inhumans Lockjaw Plush by Marvel

Marvel just unveiled another San Diego Comic-Con 2017 exclusive, and it’s this adorable plush doll of the Inhumans’ beloved transporting pet dog, Lockjaw! Next to nothing is known about this release, but it is super cute. And how can you say no to a comic book accurate Lockjaw plush!?!  Fans can purchase one of these limited edition collectibles later this week at the Marvel Comics SDCC booth.

Every year at San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel gives away exclusive concept art posters to fans for their upcoming films and television shows. Inhumans: A Marvel Television Series Teaser Poster & Cast Photo

For whatever release, the leadership behind Marvel Comics and Marvel Television are really, really, really trying to push the Inhumans onto the world of pop culture. First they tried to force the Inhumans Royal Family on to Marvel Studios as a film, and then they tried to make the Inhumans a replacement for the X-Men in their comic book continuity. And let me just tell you, neither of those worked! So instead of just giving up and admitting that the Inhumans aren’t A-list characters, they’re going to try to force feed Black Bolt and Medusa one more time as a live action television series.

While The Blot’s pumped about seeing Lockjaw and Crystal on my television screen, there is zero chance this show is successful. For whatever release, Marvel just can’t get network TV right. While the show’s first teaser poster looks awesome, have you seen the terrible costumes they’re using in the show? And what is going on with Medusa's hair!?! Gag me with a spoon…

Marvel Announces Phase 3 of its Cinematic Universe!

Yesterday was a huge day in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. At a special event at the El Capitan Theatre in Hollywood Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige unveiled their plans for Phase 3 of the MCU and it is insane! Nine films over three and a half years, including The Avengers; Infinity War, Captain America 3: Civil War, Guardians of the Galaxy 2, and Thor 3: Ragnarok. But what really has Marvel fans excited is all the new characters making their MCU debut, like Black Panther, Captain Marvel, Doctor Strange and the Inhumans.

There have been rumors for years of Black Panther and Captain Marvel films, but The Blot had honestly given up hope. It’s pretty crazy to think of Captain Marvel as the very first Marvel super heroine to have her own movie, but as her status in the comic book universe has continued to rise over the past 10-15 it makes a lot of sense. In the world of the Avengers, the central female characters have always been Wasp, the Scarlet Witch, Black Widow and Captain Marvel, and it looks like all four will now been heavily featured in Marvel films year.

Don't even get me started on the two part Avengers: Infinity War!!! All three phases of the MCU have been leading to this showdown with Thanos, and I expect every Marvel character who has appeared in a movie to date to show up for this one. It's going to be epic! So now that the title logos and release dates have been unveiled for the Marvel Cinematic Universe Phase 3 what do you all think!?!
