Walgreens Exclusive Avengers 1,000,000 B.C. Minimates Series by Diamond Select Toys x Marvel

Diamond Select Toys has announced an exciting new Walgreens exclusive Marvel Minimates series featuring the Avengers 1,000,000 B.C.! The Blot is a really big fan of the “original” Avengers from way back when, which were first introduced in Marvel Legacy #1 late last year. What’s really cool about this wave of Minimates is that it’s the first Walgreens exclusive series to be based on Marvel comic books instead of animated television shows. Each 2 pack features at least one member of the prehistoric superteam.

The Walgreens Exclusive Avengers 1,000,000 B.C. Minimates Series by Diamond Select Toys includes Phoenix with Agamotto, Odin with Iron Fist, Black Panther with Starbrand, and Ghost Rider with the Fallen. Each Minimates mini figure stands 2” tall and features 14 points of articulation and a variety of interchangeable character specific parts and accessories. Look for this new series to arrive in Walgreens stores very soon and retail for between $10-15.

Marvel’s Iron Fist Season 2 Teaser Television Posters

The one Marvel Netflix television series no one was clamoring for is coming back. Yes, that’s right… Iron Fist is getting a second season and it premieres this Friday! From the reviews I’ve seen the show has learned from its past mistakes and honestly tried to be a better series. At least it’s trying! Plus from the Iron Fist Season 2 teaser television series posters seen here, the show’s is focusing on Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing almost as much as Finn Jones’ Danny Rand. 

What’s even more exciting is that Iron Fist Season 2 will finally introduce Typhoid Mary into Netflix’ little corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe!!! It’s just weird that it’s happening in Iron Fist and not Daredevil. All 10 episodes of Iron Fist Season 2 will debut on Netflix this Friday, September 7, 2018.

Netflix’s newest live action Marvel series, The Defenders, is here and it’s going to be HUGE! That’s because The Defenders is the series we’ve all been waiting for – a team featuring the entire Netflix Marvel Universe. This team of super heroes has it all, Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage and Iron Fist! Might Elodie Yung’s Elektra even make an appearance!?! All that’s missing is The Punisher. As much as The Blot’s excited to see The Defenders, I’m equally excited to see what comes out of this series as the show has been coined the end of phase 1 of Netflix’s Marvel Television Universe.

Marvel's Iron Fist Screen Print by Matthew Woodson x Mondo

Last November, Mondo released a trio of vinyl soundtracks and posters for Netflix’s Marvel television series – Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage – featuring stunning artwork by Matthew Woodson. All three are now proudly in The Blot’s screen print collection! Now later today, Danny Rand joins their ranks with Mondo’s vinyl and poster release for Marvel’s Iron Fist! What a perfect way to commemorate today’s release of The Defenders on Netflix. Now if only we could get a team screen print too!

Iron Fist by Matthew Woodson is an 18”x24” hand numbered screen print with spot varnish. Limited to 250 pieces, this poster will retail for $45. Marvel's Iron Fist Original Soundtrack LP ($25) features music by Trevor Morris, including “Come Down” by Anderson.Paak. The LPs cover artwork is by Matthew Woodson and was pressed on 180 gram green vinyl. It’s also available on 180 gram black vinyl.

Both the Iron Fist soundtrack and screen print will go on sale at noon CST today, Friday, August 18th, at the Mondo online store.

Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Animated Universe Minimates Series 6 by Diamond Select Toys

Marvel has unveiled that Diamond Select Toys will be continuing its Walgreens exclusive line of Minimates mini figures based on the Marvel Animated Universe! It’s hard to believe this will be the sixth wave of Minimates 2 Packs based on Marvel’s popular animated Television shows Ultimate Spider-Man and Avengers Assemble. The Walgreens Exclusive Marvel Animated Universe Minimates Series 6 will feature four 2 packs: Spider-Man with Iron Fist, White Tiger with Iron Patriot, The Vision with Abomination, and Black Bolt with Medusa.

Each Marvel Animated Universe Minimates Series 6 Set includes two 2” mini figures featuring 14 points of articulation and a variety of interchangeable character specific parts and accessories. Look for this new series to arrive in Walgreens stores in late summer 2017 and retail for between $10-15.

On August 18, 2017, Marvel will be releasing its fifth television series on Netflix, The Defenders! This exciting new show will feature Netflix’s entire Marvel Television Universe teaming-up to fight crime in New York City, including Charlie Cox’s Matt Murdock, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist. At San Diego Comic-Con 2017 next week, Marvel will be giving away this pretty cool SDCC exclusive The Defenders Season 1 teaser poster by Marvel’s TV Creative Director Joshua James Shaw. Marvel will be giving this poster away for free at their SDCC booth #2329 during the show’s cast signing on Saturday, July 22nd, at 10 am PST.

The Defenders & Marvel’s Netflix Universe Headline Houston’s Comicpalooza 2017!

This weekend Texas’ preeminent comic-con, Comicpalooza, will be taking over the city of Houston! Along with an awesome (and varied) guest list of celebrity actors and comic book creators, Comicpalooza has put together an insane line-up of guests from Marvel’s Netflix Television Universe! This includes three of the four members of The Defenders: Charlie Cox (Daredevil), Mike Colter (Luke Cage) and Finn Jones (Iron Fist). Also appearing at the show is Jon Bernthal (aka The Punisher), Jessica Henwick (Colleen Wing), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson) and Geoffrey Cantor (Mitchell Ellison). How insane is that!?!

But that’s not all… Comicpalooza is also featuring two key members of the Marvel Cinematic Universe: The Avengers’ Anthony Mackie (Falcon) and from Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2’s Pom Klementieff (Mantis)! Marvel’s Iron Fist Television Series Banners & Key Art

Iron Fist, Netflix’s newest Marvel television series, will finally premiere this Friday on the subscription service. Have the show’s terrible reviews dampened your excitement for Netflix’s fourth Marvel show? The Blot’s disappointed Iron Fist isn’t living up to its predecessors’ high standards, but I’m still excited to watch it and the upcoming Defenders series. Until we can find out for ourselves whether Iron Fist is good or bad, check out these television banners and key art for the show.

The Blot really loves the photo above, which features all of the Iron Fist cast on a street corner with the sunrise in the background.  I'm more than a little shocked that Marvel included the Avengers Tower in the background, as there's be a noticeable split between the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the Marvel Netflix Universe (even though they all take place in the same “universe”).

Iron Fist Season 1 stars Finn Jones as Iron Fist, Jessica Henwick as Colleen Wing, David Wenham as Harold Meachum, Jessica Stoup as Joy Meachum, Tom Pelphrey as Ward Meachum and Rosario Dawson as Claire Temple. All 13 episodes of Iron Fist Season 1 will debut on Netflix on March 17, 2017.

Netflix’s newest Marvel television series, Iron Fist, will be debuting this Friday via the subscription service and The Blot can’t wait! Even all of the really, really bad reviews haven’t deterred me from wanting to watch the final Marvel solo series. The truth is, I’m so excited for all of the Netflix Marvel Universe heroes to come together as The Defenders I’ll even put up with a so-so series like Iron Fist. To help promote this week’s series premiere, Netflix has released this really cool character poster featuring Jessica Henwick’s Colleen Wing. From the reviews, it sounds like Henwick is the show’s breakout star.

All 13 episodes of Iron Fist Season 1 will debut on Netflix on March 17, 2017.

How is Iron Fist, Netflix’s newest Marvel television series, scheduled to premiere in just two short weeks!?! Weren’t they just casting this show? Time has flown by like crazy since it was first reported that Marvel had cast Game of Thrones star Finn Jones as Danny Rand aka Iron Fist! The Blot’s pretty excited for this show even though the trailers haven’t looked all that great. Netflix has done a great job with its little corner of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and I’m super pumped for the Defenders series, which will bring together Iron Fist with Daredevil, Jessica Jones and Luke Cage.

NYCC 16 Exclusive Marvel’s Iron Fist Teaser TV Poster by Joe Quesada & Trailer

At New York Comic Con 2016 this weekend Marvel unveiled this awesome new teaser poster for their upcoming Netflix television show Iron Fist by acclaimed artist Joe Quesada! This motion poster features a variety of concept art Quesada designed for the show. This is Netflix’ final standalone Marvel series before the huge team-up show The Defenders, and The Blot can’t wait! The big news about The Defenders coming out of New York Comic Con is that the series' main bad guy is going to be played by none other than Sigourney Weaver! How crazy is that!?! SDCC 16 Exclusive Skottie Young Marvel Pin Series

For the third year in a row Marvel is releasing a series of San Diego Comic-Con 2016 exclusive character pins based on the artwork of Skottie Young! Every year these limited edition enamel pins are some of the hottest, most sought after exclusives at SDCC, and The Blot is anticipating high demand for these fantastic Marvel pins yet again.

Thanks to ComicBook.com we now know the characters included in the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 Skottie Young Marvel Pin Series: Ant-Man, Black Panther, Winter Soldier, Deadpool, Hawkeye, Gwenpool, Deathlok, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, The Punisher, Spider-Gwen, Spider-Man, Thor, Captain Marvel, Captain America, Iron Man, Tony Stark, Howard the Duck, Groot, Rocket Raccoon, Doctor Strange, Venom, Hercules, Daredevil, Black Widow, and three mystery chase pins.

Marvel Vinylmation Series 3 by Disney

The Vinylmation release The Blot has been waiting for is finally here! Tomorrow, Disney will be releasing the hotly anticipated Marvel Vinylmation Series 3. Designed by Disney Design Group's Principal Designer Thomas Scott, Marvel Vinylmation Series 3 features some of the Marvel Universe’s most popular heroes from the ‘70s and today! Series 3 includes “Classic Armor” Iron Man, Ultimate Spider-Man Miles Morales, Daredevil, Captain Marvel, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, Moon Knight, She-Hulk, Black Bolt, Winter Soldier, Nova and a mystery chaser.
