Toy Review - X-Men: The Animated Series Jubilee 1/6 Scale Figure by Mondo x Marvel

When my friends at Entertainment Earth reached out about collaborating on a toy review, The Blot knew exactly which figure I wanted to get my hands on.  I’d known for a long time Entertainment Earth carried Mondo’s popular line of 1/6 collectible figures for licenses such as Masters of the Universe, X-Men: The Animated Series, and Batman: The Animated Series, and there was one figure I’d always wanted to see up close– Marvel Comics’ Jubilee! A big thank you to the Entertainment Earth crew for this awesome opportunity.

Growing up in the ‘90s, I was a huge fan of the X-Men comic books, and my favorite character was the spunky mallrat mutant, Jubilee. Then she became a focal point of the classic X-Men: The Animated Series television show, which really cemented my fandom. When Mondo announced the X-Men: The Animated Series Jubilee 1/6 Scale Collectible Figure I was blown away. I loved how Mondo was able to transform Jubilee’s pyrotechnic energy powers into 3D special effects. But the promo pictures Mondo released don’t do this figure justice!

While I’ve been lucky enough to see a number of Mondo’s 1/6 Scale Collectible Figures in person at MondoCon, I’ve never actually held one in my hands… until now! Jubilee stands 9.25” tall and features a ton of articulation for all kinds of screen accurate posing. Jubilation Lee comes wearing her signature yellow trench coat and pink armor, and features a paint application that makes it look like the figure just stepped out of an episode of the show.  All of the figure’s black shading really does a great job recreating the iconic look from the television cartoon.

But what’s really amazing is how Mondo recreated Jubilee’s plasma powers. She includes two fireworks blasts hands, two “The Works” fireworks hands, and even a spark finger.  I love all the different combinations you can come up with.  Throw in the alternative bubblegum portrait head and now you’ve got the greatest Jubilee figure ever made.  This is seriously a must get figure for any ’92 X-Men fan.
