Growing up, The Blot was a huge fan of the New Mutants, especially Cannonball and Sunspot.  While Sunspot never became a major X-Men character, he was always a part of the larger X-Men / New Mutants universe.  So I was really pumped to learn that Roberto Da Costa would become a main character on the new Disney+ animated series, X-Men ’97, a spin off of the iconic 1990s X-Men: The Animated Series. Marvel Legends X-Men 2022 Series Action Figures Review courtesy of Entertainment Earth!

The Blot was so excited to add these new Marvel Legends X-Men 2022 Series action figures to my collection thanks to my friends at Entertainment Earth! First off, can you ever have enough Havok Marvel Legends figures!?!  This is my third one and first in his classic first appearance costume.  The first two were his ’90 X-Force blue and yellow uniform and his more recent Uncanny Avengers costume (an update on his classic look). I especially like that Hasbro gave Havok new power special effects from the previous two releases.  These are translucent blue hard plastic special effects, and there’s even a giant one that fits into his back.

Siryn was also a must get from this series as she’s definitely needed for my ‘90s New Mutants / X-Force collection. I love how they created her wings / cape with real fabric to allow for better movement and poseability. And then there’s Maggott, who is… well… Maggott! He’s by far the best and worst mutant ever!!! Ok, the truth is these awesome, illustrated Deadpool 2 teaser one sheet movie posters have been out for a really, really long time. But The Blot’s just been sitting on them waiting for today – the day Deadpool 2 officially hits theaters! Both of these DP2 posters are freaking hilarious in their very own off kilter way. But if I had to pick, I think I would say the Thanksgiving Day dinner poster with the film’s entire cast is the better of the two. Then again, the juxtaposition of Deadpool and Cable in the poster above is pretty freaking great.

Deadpool 2 opens today, Friday, May 18th, in theaters across the globe. So go see it already!

The slightly strange, but always super funny, Deadpool 2 one sheet movie posters just keep on coming! I guess now we know what it would look like for Deadpool to be in the theater watching his own film. I for one would love to hear Wade Wilson’s commentary track during the film! UPDATE: The Blot just learned this poster was actually designed by one of my favorite artists, Matt Taylor! How freaking cool is that?!?! I totally should have known it too, since the coloring really fits Matt's unique style. Well done Mr. Taylor!

The Blot can’t believe we’re less than two weeks away from opening weekend of Deadpool 2! The marketing for this X-Men film has been hilarious, and the movie posters have been top notch. I can’t even list out all the ridiculousness of this epic Deadpool 2 final one sheet. It’s like the ultimate meme on steroids. This film is going to be epic… plus it’s got X-Force and Shatterstar! But what really cracks me up is that it’s billed “from the studio that killed Wolverine”!!! How awesome is that? I love that FOX lets the Deadpool team go full on meta.

Deadpool 2 International Teaser Movie Poster with Cable & Domino!

Check out this awesome new international one sheet teaser movie poster for Deadpool 2! Not only is the Marvel’s Merc with a Mouth back, but this film will be the first ever, live action appearance of Cable and Domino! All three characters were created by artist Rob Liefeld in the early ‘90s and helped propel him to superstardom in the comic book industry. But more importantly, ever since their introduction Deadpool and Cable have been key characters in the X-Men mythology and even the larger Marvel universe. This poster marks the first photographic appearance of Josh Brolin’s Cable and Zazie Beetz’ Domino. What do you think!?!

Marvel X-Men Artist Series Portrait Enamel Pins by Tom Whalen x Mondo

After debuting at MondoCon 4 a few weeks ago, Mondo has finally released online Tom Whalen’s first wave of Marvel Artist Series Portrait Enamel Pins! What’s cool about this wave of Marvel portrait pins is that it was curated by four familiar Mondo artists choosing four very different X-Men characters. Becky Cloonan chose Kitty Pryde’s pet dragon Lockheed, Dasch Whalen picked the The Unstoppable Juggernaut, Jock chose ‘70s era Dazzler and Matt Taylor chose X-Force / X-Statix / X-Men member Doop. Then all four mutant characters were designed by Tom Whalen to match his previous releases. These Marvel soft enamel pins can be purchased now at the Mondo online store individually for $10 each or as a 4 pin set for $35.

Deadpool 2's Cable Marvel Resin Figure by WheresChappell

Later today, WheresChappell will be releasing his fifth Marvel Comics resin figure as part of his ongoing line of pop culture inspired resin figures featuring some of your favorite characters from movies, television and comic books rocking classic sneakers.
