Lemon Drop 3” Dunny by Andrew Bell

Surprisingly, it’s been a while since Kidrobot had a single 3” production Dunny release, but that changes later this week with Andrew Bell’s Lemon Drop Dunny! The Blot really loves these single 3” Dunny releases, and Bell’s designs are always top notch. I am a little concerned about the plastic for this release. KR’s previous translucent 3 inch releases have always been a very hard ABS plastic, which is not my favorite. My guess is this piece is more of the same, but it’s hard to tell from just the pics seen here. Regardless, Bell kills it again with the upcoming Lemon Drop Dunny!

Bear Swagger Spring 2014 T-Shirt Collection

As you know The Blot is always on the lookout for killer new indie clothing brands, and I was recently introduced to the Essex, UK based Bear Swagger! I really dig how this new brand incorporates their Bear with Sunglasses logo and motto “Don’t Believe the BS” into everything they design. This street wear brand and their Bear definitely bring the swagger (see what I did there?). Bear Swagger officially launched last month with their Spring 2014 collection!

The Blot couldn’t believe how diverse of a collection this is considering this is Bear Swagger’s first release. It includes four awesome t-shirts, a hoodie, a crewneck, a jacket, two beanies and more! I really like the mix of graphic designs with cool typography. Here’s hoping for many more t-shirt collections from Bear Swagger!

As you all know The Blot loves a really good pop culture inspired bootleg Buddha resin figure, and Motorbot never disappoints! His newest creation is the R2-DA, a killer mash-up of Star Wars’ R2-D2 and Buddha. This little astromech deity is here to help open the door to enlightenment for you and your toy collection. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Wacky Wobbler Bobble Heads by Funko

Funko and Nickelodeon have teamed up to release a totally tubular line of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Wacky Wobbler Bobble Heads! This summer seems to be the summer of the Ninja Turtles and The Blot loves it! This new line of TMNT Wacky Wobblers is based on the franchise’s animated universe and includes Leonardo, Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo, Splinter and the evil Shredder. But where’s the love for April and Casey Jones!?!

Each Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Wacky Wobbler Bobble Head by Funko stands 7” tall, comes standing on a detailed base with the character’s name packaged in a full color window box. While these figures are not scheduled to hit store shelves until August 2014, you can pre-order all of them from Entertainment Earth for $12.99 each here.

First Look: Magenta & Brown Da’ Lizard Vinyl Figure Colorways by Mark Bode

If, like The Blot, you’re anxiously awaiting the release of the new Da’ Lizard vinyl figure by Mark Bode here’s a little more info on the release to wet your whistle! Earlier this week Mark posted the photos above of the painted prototypes of his Magenta and Brown Lizard colorways on his Instagram page. They look fantastic, don’t you think!?!

We also now know each figure will stand 11” tall, come in four different colorways (Green, Magenta, Brown and White), and retail for just $80. Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Giclee Print by Scott C.

Gallery1988’s amazing Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Traveling Group Art Show opens in Los Angeles this Saturday, May 17th, at G1988 (West)! After the show’s New York and LA tour stops, it will be traveling to Chicago and San Diego Comic-Con soon. Throughout the show’s run, Gallery1988 will be releasing some amazing prints by a venerable who’s who of artists inspired this iconic film. At the stroke of midnight (EDT) on Tuesday, May 27th, Gallery1988 will release its fifth print from the Ghostbusters 30th Anniversary Show. This epic Ghostbusters painting by Scott C. will be printed as an archival giclee print measuring 16”x20”. This print will be sold as a timed release, meaning everyone will have 72 hours to purchase it, and once that timeframe is over, they will never be sold again. The signed and numbered edition size will be determined by the amount sold during the release. Fans can purchase these from the show’s online store for $70 each.

R2-D2 Star Wars Vinylmation Eachez Vinyl Figure

Today (May 15th) at the Rebel Rendezvous event at Walt Disney World, Disney will be releasing the R2-D2 Star Wars Vinylmation Eachez blind box figure designed by Thomas Scott, which is limited to 2,500 pieces. An Eachez release is when Disney releases just one single design blind box style with a very rare chase variant randomly inserted (you can see the chase below). The R2-D2 Star Wars Vinylmation vinyl figure stands 3” tall and will retail for $16.95. The Blot hasn’t heard what the ratio is for this chase variant, but I’d imagine this release will sell out quickly regardless. Happy hunting Star Wars and Vinylmation fans!

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mystery Minis Blind Box Series by Funko

It is beyond baffling to The Blot how there are three different Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles blind box series coming out this year all based on the franchise’s popular ‘80s cartoon. While there are definitely some big differences between the three series, it feels like some terrible brand management by Nickelodeon. While all three series basically feature the same nine characters, Funko’s TMNT Mystery Minis Series separates itself from the pack with the inclusion of my two favorite TMNT characters, Casey Jones and Krang!

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mystery Minis includes 2.5” vinyl figures of Leonardo, Donatello, Michelangelo, Raphael, Splinter, April O’Neil, Shredder, Bebop, Rocksteady, a Foot Soldier, Krang and Casey Jones! Even better still, each character has a 1/12 ratio, making the chance of getting each character the exact same. This should make completing this blind box series a lot easier!

The TMNT Mystery Minis Blind Box Series is not scheduled to hit store shelves until July 2014, but you can pre-order it now from Entertainment Earth! A full case (12 BBs) of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Mystery Minis can be purchased for $67.99 here or a 4 pack of blind boxes for $22.99 here.
