Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass Hat Collection by New Era

To coincide with the release of Disney’s Alice Through the Looking Glass later this month, New Era is releasing this awesome Alice in Wonderland hat collection based on the upcoming live action film! This sequel to Tim Burton’s 2010 AiW movie looks fantastic and so too do these officially licensed Disney themed hats. There are four hats in this Alice in Wonderland collection, including two fitted hats and two snapbacks.

The Disney’s Alice in Wonderland All Over 59FIFTY fitted hat features the film’s entire cast, while the Cheshire Cat Character 59FIFTY fitted hat was crafted to look just like the mischievous Chessur (and is equally as furry). It appears the two Alice in Wonderland snapback hats are based on Alice Through the Looking Glass’ newest character, Time (portrayed by Sacha Baron Cohen).

They’ve already announced a line of Alice Pop! vinyl figures, a Mystery Minis blind box series, and now a line of Alice Through the Looking Glass Mopeez plush figures! That means we’re getting grumpy plushes of the Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit and Time.

Each Alice Through the Looking Glass 4.5” Mopeez plush figure is weighted on the bottom to retain a slouchy posture and adorable frustration. These Disney Mopeez plushes are not expected to hit store shelves until June 2016, but you can pre-order all six figures now at Entertainment Earth for just $7.99 each here. Funko has announced a new Alice Through the Looking Glass Mystery Minis Blind Box Series based on the upcoming Disney film starring Johnny Depp, Mia Wasikowska and Sacha Baron Cohen. This trippy new series contains a colorful cast of characters, including Alice, Mad Hatter, the Red Queen, the White Queen, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee, Tweedledum, the Cheshire Cat, Time, the Dormouse, the March Hare, and many more!

The Alice Through the Looking Glass Mystery Minis blind box series has 16 unique 2.5” scale figures, and possibly some of Funko’s signature rare mystery chases and/or variants. SDCC 14 Exclusive Disney Mystery Minis Blind Box Series by Funko

This is one of those SDCC releases that really took The Blot by surprise! Funko is actually releasing an entire San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Disney Mystery Minis Blind Box Series. Disney fans are going to go bonkers over this one!!! This 2.5” mini figure series includes characters, sculpts and paint jobs exclusive to Comic-Con. The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Disney Mystery Minis Blind Box Series includes adorable versions of Donald Duck, WALL-E, Alice and the Cheshire Cat from Alice in Wonderland, Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story, Belle and the Beast from Beauty and the Beast, and Wreck-It Ralph.

Each figure has a 1/12 ratio, which means the chance of getting each character is the exact same. This way you can complete a full set of these SDCC 2014 Exclusive Disney Mystery Minis with the purchase of one case from the Funko Comic-Con booth.

“The Hatter” & “Caterpillar” Alice In Wonderland Screen Prints by Johnny Dombrowski

Dark Hall Mansion continues to impress with its diverse line of screen prints. Next week they’ll be dropping not one, but two Alice In Wonderland themed prints by talented New York City artist Johnny Dombrowski! While “Caterpillar” is nice, The Blot especially loves Dombroski’s “The Hatter” which includes a cameo by the Cheshire Cat (a personal fav!). For this piece Johnny explained that he wanted “to show the Mad Hatter's insanity on a physical plane, the idea of him being an empty shell was an idea I was experimenting with during the sketch phase.”

“The Hatter” and “Caterpillar” by Johnny Dombrowski are 22”x30” signed and numbered screen prints. The Standard Edition of each print has a limited edition run size of 99 pieces and will retail for $75, while the Variants have limited edition run sizes of 25 pieces and will retail for $100. All four prints go on sale at 9:30am PST on Monday, October 29th, at the Dark Hall Mansion online store.

SDCC 12 Exclusive Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko

It’s rare that Funko announces its San Diego Comic-Con exclusives ahead of time, so The Blot was really excited when these photos of its SDCC 2012 Disney Pop! vinyl figure exclusives hit the internet. My favorite of the bunch is definitely this flocked Winnie the Pooh vinyl figure, although 9” Sulley with 3.75” Metallic Boo 2 pack is also nice! Other of Funko’s San Diego Comic-Con 2012 Exclusive Disney Pop! vinyl figures include a blue Cheshire Cat, a metallic Alien, a glow in the dark Oogie Boogie, a Fantasia 2 Pack that includes metallic Sorcery Mickey and Chernobog vinyl figures, and a Muppets 3 Pack that includes 2 metallic Snowths and a metallic Mahna Mahna.

Alice in Wonderland Disney Vinylmation 3" Series

The newest Disney Vinylmation 3” series was released earlier this month, and it’s an entire line based on The Blot’s favorite Disney cartoon, Alice in Wonderland! Not only that, but it was designed by the uber-talented Disney Design Group artist Thomas Scott. On really interesting aspect to this series is that it does not include Alice, who was released as part of Vinylmation’s Animation Series 1. The AiW Series was created as an extension of that release and was built upon the design of the original Alice Vinylmation 3" figure.

Alice in Wonderland Disney Vinylmation Series includes Queen of Hearts, White Rabbit, Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Tweedle Dee, Tweedle Dum, March Hare, Caterpillar, Oyster Baby, Dodo, Hedgehog, Mystery Chase Dinah and Mystery Chase Variant Hedgehog. On top of these 13 blind boxed figures, Disney will also be releasing a number of 9”/3” two figure sets, like the Walrus and the Carpenter set seen here. It will have a limited edition run size of 1,500 pieces and will be released in 2012. Scott has also designed a AiW Vinylmation 3” two figure set, that is scheduled for released in 2012.

The Alice in Wonderland Disney Vinylmation Series went on sale November 4th and 5th at the California and Florida D-Street locations and online November 11th at the Disney online store. Like with all limited edition Vinylmation releases, these went extremely fast. But I’m sure you can still find a few blind boxes if you look in the right places.

First Look: Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures Series 3 by Funko

Take a good, hard look at Funko’s upcoming third wave of Pop! Disney Store vinyl figures, and tell me you’re not as impressed as The Blot is by how this toy line continues to evolve. Funko has done an amazing job giving each Pop! figure it’s own look and detailed sculpt. From Elastigirl’s tall, slender body to Ariel and Ursual’s undersea appearances, each figure in Pop! Disney Store Wave 3 looks so awesome! I am especially excited about the inclusion of Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat in this 12 figure set, which includes both classic Disney characters and new Pixar favorites.

Pop! Disney Store Wave 3 includes Donald Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story’s Alien and Emperor Zurg, The Little Mermaid’s Arial and Ursala, Alice in Wonderland’s Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter, The Incredible’s Elastigirl and Edna E. Mode, and Peter Pan’s Peter Pan & Captain Hook.

Medicom x Disney Alice In Wonderland Cheshire Cat 400% Be@rbrick

We’re just a few days away from the world premiere of Tim Burton’s Alice In Wonderland! This live action Disney film has been getting very mixed reviews, but nothing can stop me from seeing this movie. Even Burton and Johnny Depp’s worst collaborations are still entertaining. To commemorate the film’s release, Medicom Toy is releasing a 400% Be@rbrick of everyone’s favorite AIW character, the Cheshire Cat! This detailed figure also goes nicely with the Japanese toy company’s Alice In Wonderland 100% Kubrick & Be@rbrick set currently in stores.


The Medicom x Disney Alice In Wonderland Cheshire Cat 400% Be@rbrick retails for around $70 and is available right now! I’m not sure where you can purchase this figure though, as most 400% Be@rbricks, even if they’re not Japan exclusives, have proven to be hard to track down.

Threadless - "The Cheshire" Alice In Wonderland Themed T-Shirt

I saw “The Cheshire” t-shirt on Threadless last week and thought it was awesome for a number of reasons. First off, it features Alice In Wonderland's Cheshire cast, which is awesome in its own right. But I also thought it was cool because not only does it glow in the dark, but parts of the design are printed using UV ink that becomes visible only in direct sunlight. While that means certain elements of the design may not show up indoors, it gives the shirt some killer special effects!

“The Cheshire” is one of those shirts that’s perfect for everyone, guys, girls and little kids.
