NYCC 2021 Exclusive Classic Disney Dreamland Series Prints by Ben Harman x Bottleneck Gallery

Ben Harman’s Disney Dreamland Series returns with five new magical prints from a bevy of Disney classics just in time for New York Comic Con 2021! As Bottleneck Gallery explained, “Ben’s Disney Dreamland Series is a continuing collection showcasing the everlasting brilliance of Disney’s animated films, and for Virtual Con (aka NYCC 2021), Ben’s created five prints spanning across very different Disney decades. Ben’s really flexing his artistic talents by focusing on setting and color palette instead of characters, allowing viewers to really inhabit these Disney locales.

Johnny Cupcakes 20th Anniversary Vintage Collection T-Shirts

It’s hard to believe that Johnny Cupcakes, one of The Blot’s favorite indie brands, is celebrating its 20th anniversary!  To celebrate this huge milestone, JC is rebaking some of their favorite (and their customer’s favorite) designs throughout 2021.  While most releases this year will have a special 20 year emblem printed on the back or sleeve, these occasional vintage JC t-shirts will also have this “VINTAGE RECIPE” hem print along with a “rebaked date”.  These small, clean details not only commemorate this epic journey Johnny Cupcakes has been on, but it also separates these rebakes from the original releases.

“Disney Perspectives” Giclee Print Series by Andy Fairhurst x Eyeland Prints x Bottleneck Gallery

The Blot’s heading out to sea today on a week long Disney Cruise with my extended family, so this is officially my last post of 2019 and of the decade! I hope you all have a very happy new year and I’ll see you in 2020. Funko has released an all new Disney Mystery Minis Series, and this time it’s themed Heroes vs. Villains!!! This mini figure blind box series has 12 unique 2.5” tall characters from classic Disney animated movies like The Little Mermaid, Frozen, Peter Pan, Aladdin, A Bug's Life and Lilo and Stich! As always, this awesome series will most likely include some very rare chases and glow in the dark variants.

“Greetings from Skull Rock” Peter Pan Screen Print by Dave Perillo

Dark Ink Art and Acme Archives Direct have released the next print in their adorable “Greetings from…” Disney Screen Print Series by Dave Perillo! For the series’ third release, Perillo has designed this colorful movie poster for the legendary 1953 animated film Peter Pan. “Greetings from Skull Rock” features the primary cast of Peter Pan, which includes Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy, John and Michael, as well as Captain Hook and Mr. Smee. The design even includes the deadly Crocodile and Hook’s dreaded Skull Rock in the background. Here’s hoping there are many more “Greetings from…” Disney prints by Perillo in our future!

First Look: Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures Series 3 by Funko

Take a good, hard look at Funko’s upcoming third wave of Pop! Disney Store vinyl figures, and tell me you’re not as impressed as The Blot is by how this toy line continues to evolve. Funko has done an amazing job giving each Pop! figure it’s own look and detailed sculpt. From Elastigirl’s tall, slender body to Ariel and Ursual’s undersea appearances, each figure in Pop! Disney Store Wave 3 looks so awesome! I am especially excited about the inclusion of Alice in Wonderland’s Mad Hatter and Cheshire Cat in this 12 figure set, which includes both classic Disney characters and new Pixar favorites.

Pop! Disney Store Wave 3 includes Donald Duck, Winnie the Pooh, Toy Story’s Alien and Emperor Zurg, The Little Mermaid’s Arial and Ursala, Alice in Wonderland’s Cheshire Cat and Mad Hatter, The Incredible’s Elastigirl and Edna E. Mode, and Peter Pan’s Peter Pan & Captain Hook.

Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures Official Photos

A little birdy (or was it a mouse) sent me this official first look at Funko’s upcoming line of Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures! As you know, The Blot’s been looking forward to this new Pop! Series and I am really excited to debut the toy line’s official line-up. Pop! Disney Wave 1 features Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbell, Snow White, Toy Story’s Woody and Buzz, Monsters Inc.’s Sully and Mike, Pinnochio, Jiminy Cricket, Stitch, and villains Cruella de Vil and Maleficent.

What I really like about Funko’s first wave of Pop! Disney vinyl figures is the huge variety of classic characters and new Pixar favorites included in the series. From Mickey and Snow White, to Stitch and Buzz, almost every era of Disney magic is accounted for. And with Disney’s huge roster of characters, this is one Pop! line that could go on indefinitely!

Pop! Disney Wave 1 includes 12 figures in all and from the looks of the packaging, will be sold exclusively at Disney Stores worldwide. Look for these cute and blocky Disney vinyl figures in a Disney Store near you sometime soon!

First Look: Tinker Bell Pop! Disney Vinyl Figure Prototype by Funko

Check out the latest Disney Pop! prototype leaked courtesy of Gemini Collectibles, Tinker Bell! The first Disney Pop! vinyl figure of a non-Pixar character, Tinker Bell is also the first toy from Funko to pay homage to Disney’s classic age of animation. Come on, who doesn’t love Disney’s 1953 classic Peter Pan? While this is exactly the type of character I’ve been waiting for (i.e. someone from the hand drawn animation age), where’s Minnie, Daisy and Pluto?

We’re still awaiting official word of Funko’s new line of Disney vinyl figures, but you can could have purchased the Tinker Bell Pop! Disney vinyl figure prototype above directly from Gemini Collectibles here for $75 (it is now sold out, sorry!).

Johnny Cupcakes x Hook “Capn” T-Shirt

Another Johnny Cupcakes midnight screening means an all new limited edition movie themed t-shirt! On Saturday, November 21, 2009 at Coolidge Corner Theatre in Brookline, MA, Johnny Cupcakes hosted a very special screening of Hook starring Robin Williams and Dustin Hoffman. Hook is definitely one of Steven Spielberg’s most underrated films and a 90’s classic that only gets better with age. Ru-fi-ooooooooooooooooooooooo!


What I like most about the Johnny Cupcakes x Hook “Capn” t-shirt is the way it merges JC’s Cupcake and Crossbones logo with the image from Hook’s one-sheet movie poster. The logo on the back of the shirt is a nice touch as well!

The Hundreds x Disney - The Lost Boys T-Shirts

As you all probably know by now I’m a sucker for Disney crossovers, so I was especially excited to hear The Hundreds was teaming up with Disney to release a line of clothing featuring The Lost Boys from Disney’s classic animated feature film Peter Pan. While the Blot loves Peter Pan, I especially love this project because it features some seldom used characters from the Disney vault.


The Lost Boys are literally a group of little boys whose nannies lose them and eventually find their way to Neverland. Once there, they realize they will never have to grow up and love it, choosing to stay forever and become Peter Pan’s unofficial posse. They act as the comic relief for the movie and you can always tell them apart by the animal costume they wear.


The Walt Disney Company has been around so long and created so many wonderful characters that many secondary characters often get lost in the shuffle. It’s pretty exciting then when a designer clothing company like The Hundreds decides to feature a group of not often seen supporting Disney characters in their very own clothing line.
