“Anticipation Sketchup” Custom 8” Dunny by Sket-One

“Anticipation Sketchup” Custom 8” Dunny by Sket-One

For The Blot, there is no Condiment Dunny as iconic as Sket One’s original Sketchup (seen here)! So I was super pumped to learn Sket was revisiting this iconic custom with the Anticipation Sketchup 8” Dunny. It’s hard to believe it’s been five years since Sket first released the 8” Sketchup, and I love that he’s utilizing a translucent resin Dunny head again to make the figure look like it’s a half empty bottle of ketchup with remnants of the condiment still inside.

“Anticipation Sketchup” Custom 8” Dunny by Sket-One

Each handmade figure will be one of a kind because of how the splattered ketchup effect is applied to each piece. Inspired by Heinz' iconic Tomato Ketchup bottle, the “Anticipation Sketchup” comes with a 8.25”x5.5” metal condiment holder, 2.25oz mini bottle of ketchup and a 4”x4” custom display card.

The “Anticipation Sketchup” Custom 8” Dunny by Sket One comes signed by the artist and goes on sale this Friday, March 6th, at 12am EST for just 24 hours at the Sket One online store for $485. This timed release’s run size will be set by the number of pieces ordered during the ordering window.

Mayonnaise Dunny by Sket One - The Kidrobot Dunny Series 2010 Golden Ticket

Kidrobot Dunny Series 2010 Golden Ticket Mayonnaise Bottle 3 Inch Dunny by Sket One
It’s official, the golden ticket for Kidrobot’s Dunny Series 2010 is a 3 inch Mayonnaise Bottle Dunny by Sket One! This might have been one of KR’s worst kept secrets, but I’m really glad they didn’t scrap their plans just because everyone and their mother knew the S2010’s golden ticket was going to be a Mayonnaise condiment bottle. This is the fourth condiment Dunny in Series 2010 and don’t they look awesome together!?! The Blot’s going to be very jealous of all you Dunny collectors with a complete set of Sket One Condiment Dunnys (Ketchup, Mustard, Relish & Mayonnaise) in your collection.

Dunny Series 2010 Mystery Chase Figures Official Photos

Kidrobot finally released official photos for its Dunny Series 2010 mystery chase figures. A Dunny series wouldn’t be complete without those unknown, rarely found chases, and this series is no exception!

First up is Frank Kozik’s mystery chase figure, which is an old timey design inspired by the Great Depression. While the ratio of the $5,000 Gold Apple Dunny is still unknown, we do know it is much rarer than its 5¢ Green Apple Dunny counterpart which has a ratio of 3 in 200.

The mystery design by Aya Kakeda is one of The Blot’s favorite figures from Series 2010. Besides being incredibly adorable, Aya’s Centaur Dunny is also one of the rarest Series 2010 figures with a ratio of 1 in 400. Good luck hunting down this 4 legged mythological creature!

Last but not least is Damarak the Destroyer’s super rare alternative clear green and pink colorway design. I don’t know if it’s because the mystery chase is rarer than the standard clear black and red Damarak the Destroyer Dunny or just because I’m a sucker for pink vinyl toys, but I really like this alternative color scheme. Too bad it’s almost as hard to get as the two designs above!

If you’re a completist, then you’re probably looking for one of the three figures above (along with either Jesse Hernandez’ Bat God Dunny or The Beast Brothers’ Techno Viking Dunny) to complete your Dunny Series 2010. If so, best of luck and keep buying those blind boxes!

Kidrobot’s Dunny Series 2010 blind boxes are currently on sale at Kidrobot stores, Kidrobot.com and retail stores worldwide for $7.95 each.

Thanks to Rotofugi, we now have our very first look at Aya Kakeda’s Dunny Series 2010 design, and it looks awesome! Aya’s Centaur design is a standard Dunny with an accessory of two back legs which attaches from behind. While the figure looks great, with a ratio of 1/400 very few of us will be able to add it to our collections. Expect to pay some big bucks if you’re not able to pull this four legged Dunny from a blind box.

Yellow Mustard Custom 8 Inch Dunny by Sket One

Now that we know Kidrobot will be including both a Sketchup and a Yellow Mustard 3” Dunny in its upcoming Dunny Series 2010, I should have known Sket-One would be bringing the fire with another condiment custom! This time Sket has transformed 10 8” Dunnys into handmade, custom Yellow Mustard Dunnys...a perfect complement to the both the custom Sketchup 8” Dunny and the 3” production Mustard Dunny.

The Yellow Mustard 8 inch custom Dunny by Sket-One includes a functioning bottle cap, a custom Heinz yellow mustard inspired label, a 3.5”x3.5” custom header card, a miniature 2.25oz glass bottle with custom label (and real mustard inside) and a wrought iron condiment caddy to display everything. While Sket hasn’t released any details about the sale of this awesome custom, I assume it will be very similar to the Sketchup, which sold for $550 on Sket’s online store.

SDCC Sneak Peek - Kidrobot Dunny Series 2010

Kidrobot had seven different figures from their upcoming Dunny Series 2010 on display at San Diego Comic-Con 2010, and they look even better in 3D than they did as drawings on the previously leaked checklist. Included in the display were designs by MAD, Frank Kozik, Jesse Hernandez, MCA, Triclops, Damarak the Destroyer and Amanda Visell.

SDCC 2010 Exclusive Sket One Condiment Combo Pack: 3” Mustard Dunny & Sketchup T-Shirt

Kidrobot Dunny Series 2010 3 Inch Mustard Dunny by Sket One
On Wednesday at San Diego Comic-Con Preview Night, Kidrobot released a special SDCC Exclusive Sket One Condiment Combo Pack, which includes a 3 inch Mustard Dunny and a KR Sketchup t-shirt! The Blot’s been unable to confirm whether or not this 3” Mustard Dunny is a SDCC exclusive, but according to the KRonikle this is a pre-release. So I assume this means the Mustard Dunny is an unannounced Series 2010 variant figure?

San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Sket One Condiment Combo Pack by Kidrobot: 3 Inch Mustard Dunny & Sketchup T-Shirt
The San Diego Comic-Con 2010 Exclusive Sket One Condiment Combo Pack from Kidrobot retails for $45. And if anyone was wondering if Sket would be releasing a Mustard follow up to his hand made custom 8” Sketchup Dunnys, you’re in luck! Sket announced yesterday that a set of 10 8” custom Mustard Dunnys are in the works and would be released soon.

Sketchup 8 Inch Custom Dunny by Sket-One

One of The Blot’s all time favorite custom Dunnys is coming back in a big way! First it was announced Sket-One’s classic Sketchup design was to be included in Kidrobot’s 3” Dunny Series 2010. Then Kidrobot released a very cool Sketchup t-shirt, and now Sket has announced a new series of 20 8” Sketchup custom Dunnys! The Blot’s got a sinking suspicion that these hand made custom 8 inch Dunnys are going to be highly sought after, so if you want one be sure to act quickly.

Kidrobot Sneak Peek - Dunny Series 2010 Checklist and Ratios

Kidrobot’s next series of 3 inch Dunny series has officially leaked, and it looks killer (if I do say so myself). I know a lot of fans are disappointed that the series is made up heavily of more established artists, but come on! Just look at those ratios…I about jumped out of my chair when I realized some of my favorite designs were going to be so easy to get. Huck’s a 2/25, Amanda Visell’s a 2/25 and Doktor A is 1/25. I thought for sure Kidrobot would make Dok A’s mechtorian figure at least a 1/100.

Kidrobot - Dunny Series 2010 Checklist and Ratios
(click on the photo above for a more detailed look)

My only concern at this point is figuring out a way to get my hands on the MAD and Jesse Hernandez Dunnys. Anything MAD is always a must get, and Jesse’s design is sick. The Blot’s also been a huge fan of Sket One’s Ketchup and Mustard custom Dunnys, so to finally see his Ketchup figure released as a production piece is pretty exciting (plus its ratio is 2/25). KR's Dunny Series 2010 is set to be released this summer, more details to come soon.

The artists included in Kidrobot’s Dunny Series 2010 includes: Huck Gee, Kozik, Sket One, MAD, Doktor A., Amanda Visell, Jesse Hernandez, Michelle Valigura, The Beast Brothers, MCA, Esther Kim, Travis Cain, CW, Damarak the Destroyer, Sneaky Raccoon, Shelterbank, Tizieu, Triclops Studio, and Aya Kakeda.
