Ol Sparky Electric Frankenstein Pt.2 Edition Vinyl Figure by Mutant Vinyl Hardcore

Mutant Vinyl Hardcore is set to release the first painted edition of his fun new figure, Ol Sparky! The vibrant Electric Frankenstein Pt.2 Edition Ol Sparky is cast in blue soft Japanese vinyl and comes painted in metallic green, silver and purple sprays with masked orange and yellow belly letters. It also features fluorescent black light responsive neon orange brush work on its eyes, nails and horns, along with blood red in forehead gashs and lower eyes.

Ol Sparky also includes a hemp cord wrapped attack Ollie omake painted in a matching color scheme, a “Missing Sam” mini t-shirt for Ol Sparky, and a “Missing Sam” Mutant Vinyl Hardcore Milk full sized milk carton. Ol Sparky stands 12.5” tall, while the attack Ollie omake is 3” tall. Feral Children Mixed Parts Edition Vinyl Figure by Mutant Vinyl Hardcore

Today, Mutant Vinyl Hardcore will be releasing his newest sofubi figure, Feral Children! Each figure includes one body and six heads (one of each character).  For its first release, Feral Children will be available as an unpainted Mixed Parts Edition, which include nine different colors of soft Japanse vinyl parts (white, black, red, blue, purple, yellow, pink, green and yellow). Each figure will come packaged in full color box with mini print and sticker, and is limited to two figures per customer.

The Feral Children series includes six different characters: King Wild Boy of the Home Base Warriors, Baby V of the Home Base Warriors, Willy of the Kappa Sailors Clan, Skully of the Dokuro Destroyers Clan, Mech Boy Ollie of the Mech Masters Clan, and Rider Zero of the Mushroom Riders / Sunday Savages. Kewpie LASH Vinyl Figure by Mutant Vinyl Hardcore

Today Mutant Vinyl Hardcover releases its newest sofubi figure, the LASH Kewpie! This is the first officially run of the Kewpie LASH mascot toy. This 4” soft Japanese vinyl figure will be available in a sold red Unpainted Edition or a Painted Edition that will be sold blind bag style with either a red head or a blue head version. The Painted Edition were fully hand painted by MVH with no spray masks used. Each figure will come bagged with header card, and includes a hanya and a LASH mini charm (in either red, white or blue).

Mutant Vinyl Hardcore 1 Year Celebration Releases: Sludge Demon & Leviathan

Although the first Mutant Vinyl Hardcore vinyl figure was created about 4 years ago, it was only 1 year ago that Rich Montanari of MVH decided to become a full time monster maker and quit his day job. To celebrate that special occasion (which happened to fall on his birthday – happy birthday Rich!), Mutant Vinyl Hardcore will be releasing his newest and oldest MVH toys this weekend: the Sludge Demon and Leviathan. The unpainted black Sludge Demon is cast in jet black soft Japanese vinyl and includes two MVH stickers, one button and a metal rimmed paper MVH hanging tag. This old school figure will retail for $65 and will go on sale at the Mutant Vinyl Hardcore online store this Sunday, August 16th, at 12:00 PM EDT.

The Leviathan is cast in slate blue soft Japanese vinyl and features dark gray, silver, metallic blue, and copper sprays with tons of BLOOD SPLATTER! Each figure includes a haunted axe, severed head and trident weapon, a Berserker sticker, hand painted unique MVH paper with metal rim tag and a goodie bag of shark gummy candy. SDCC Exclusive Sackhead Vinyl Figure by Brandt Peters x Mutant Vinyl Hardcore

The long awaited collaboration between Brandt Peters and Mutant Vinyl Hardcore will finally be making its world premiere at San Diego Comic-Con 2015 later this week! Meet the insane looking Sackhead, which features a brand new head sculpt by Brandt on MVH’s signature DX body. Rich Montanari Jr. of Mutant Vinyl Hardcore has released a killer new MVH t-shirt collection, which includes two awesome limited edition designs and two standard releases. “Wasteland Warrior” Berserker Vinyl Figure by Mutant Vinyl Hardcore

The Blot always seems to miss out on covering Mutant Vinyl Hardcore’s amazing releases, because the announcements often come right before MVH’s lotteries open and subsequently close before I have time to blog. But make no mistake about it, The Blot is a huge fan of MVH’s western sofubi. Rich’s super detailed sculpting make all of his figures really come to life. Just look at this week’s release, the “Wasteland Warrior” Berserker. This guy really means business! I for one wouldn’t want to get on his bad side.

The “Wasted Warrior” Berserker returns from the scorched earth in this ‘80s post-apocalyptic themed colorway. If the Wasteland Warrior had theme music, it would be by John Carpenter, and the accompanying film would have a poster which was better than the actual movie. The “Wasted Warrior” Berserker stands over 13” tall, is cast in pale flesh soft Japanese vinyl and features neon red, muted purple, and metallic green and silver sprays. Each figure also includes 2 sets of hands, one to hold the haunted battle axe and one to display your severed head/spiked ball omake.

Oh wow, for Mutant Vinyl Hardcore’s first painted release of his new Berserker figure Rich is giving us something extra special…a Star Wars inspired paint scheme! The Darth Vader Berserker pays homage to the Sith Lord who fathered The Blot’s second favorite twins Luke and Leia (obviously my new baby boys are my favorite set of twins)! Technically this isn’t the true Berserker figure as it features the Ollie club arms, but it’s close enough. Now if only I could find some cash quick for this lottery release.

MVH x Guumon Star Wars Daigomi Vinyl Figures

Yesterday LASH of Mutant Vinyl Hardcore surprised the world by releasing two small runs and a one-off Star Wars inspired custom Daigomi vinyl figures! What a killer collaboration with Guumon!!! LASH created micro runs of a Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot Daigomi and a Darth Vader Daigomi, and a really rare one of a kind Yoda Daigomi.

Each figure stands 8.25” tall and is 6” wide. What a behemoth of a toy! The Luke Skywalker X-Wing Pilot Daigomi was cast in clear vinyl, features a blue doll eye, and is painted inside and out with metallic oranges and silver and smoke black with highlights of blue, white, red and clear yellow spray. The Darth Vader Daigomi was cast in black vinyl, features a clear red with red pupil doll eye, and is painted with metallic blue and red with silver highlights and a thin gloss shine. The super rare Yoda Daigomi was cast in glow in the dark vinyl, features green rubs and was painted with a light silver pearl dusting with light and dark brown highlights.

The Luke and Vader Daigomi are limited to just 5 pieces each and retail for $115, while the one-off Yoda retails for $125. As of this writing the Vader and Yoda figures are sold out, but Luke’s still available through the MVH online store! May the Force be with you.

The Blot’s been dying to get his hands on one of LASH’s giant figures for the past year, but I have terrible luck with lotteries and didn’t have the funds for the last Ollie made to order colorway.
