It’s hard to believe we’re just two months away from the world premiere of Star Wars: The Force Awakens! Then again, it feels like we’re getting new officially licensed tie-in toys every day. Check out this awesome Star Wars: The Force Awakens First Order Stormtrooper Vinylmation Eachez vinyl figure Disney just released. An Eachez release is when Disney releases just one single design blind box style with a very rare chase variant randomly inserted.

For this release there are actually three different First Order Stormtroopers randomly inserted in blind boxes, each with a different colored blaster. The First Order Stormtrooper Squad Leader is the most common with a 9/10 ratio, while the First Order Stormtrooper Sergeant and First Order Stormtrooper Officer each have rations of 1/20.

Johnny Cupcakes x Scream “Big Kid Ghost” T-Shirt

The Blot is such a sucker for a really good movie inspired Big Kid t-shirt from Johnny Cupcakes. Thankfully JC never seems to disappoint! They just released a new crop of Halloween themed tees, including this awesome Scream inspired entitled “Big Kid Ghost”, which features the Johnny Cupcakes mascot cosplaying as the murderous Ghostface from the 1996 horror classic. What’s funny is even with all that bloodsplatter, Big Kid looks so happy and friendly!

Johnny Cupcakes x ATAMA “OriginalBaked” Kaws Big Kid T-Shirt

Last week Johnny Cupcakes rolled through Texas on a mini pop-up shop tour with stops in Houston and Dallas. Sadly, The Blot wasn’t able to attend either events. The biggest news from JC’s tour through TX came from the Dallas stop where Johnny released this epic ATAMA exclusive Kaws inspired “OriginalBaked” Big Kid t-shirt!!!

Limited to just 40 pieces, the ATAMA exclusive “OriginalBaked” t-shirt features Johnny Cupcakes’ mascot Big Kid dressed up as Kaws’ Companion (who in turn is based on Disney’s Mickey Mouse). Not only was it super limited, but this amazing t-shirt was given out for free to the first 35 people in line at the Dallas tour stop that purchased something from both ATAMA and Johnny Cupcakes. How amazing is that!?! Yes, The Blot is beyond jealous right now… Good luck tracking one of these Big Kid tees down!

Back to the Future x The Hundreds “Back to the Hundreds” T-Shirt Collection

To celebrate the Back to the Future 30th Anniversary (Bobby Hundreds’ favorite film), The Hundreds is releasing a new BttF inspired clothing collection and releasing it on October 21, 2015 - the exact day Michael J. Fox’ Marty McFly travels to the future in Back to the Future II! For this collection, entitled Back to the Hundreds, The Hundreds asks the question, what if the clothes that Marty wears in Back to the Future II were actually by The Hundreds?

As The Hundreds explained, “Incorporating contemporary design and innovative materials, we honed in on specific iconic pieces from the films for this collaboration – looks that we could reappropriate into The Hundreds’ context – like the unmistakable red vest (which is streamlined for 2015) and the self-drying jacket from the future (which utilizes Dri-fit and our Nano Coat technology to actually work). We also involved defining aspects of the trilogy onto a series of graphic t-shirts, pullovers, and a crew neck sweatshirt.”  We can all find out more about this exciting collection this Wednesday when it drops at The Hundreds online store.

Not only is it the 30th Anniversary of Back to the Future, but next week marks the exact day (October 21, 2015) that Michael J. Fox’ Marty McFly travels to the future in Back to the Future II! So of course we’re going to be seeing a ton of amazing BttF releases this week. One of my favorites is this amazing collection of Back to the Future t-shirts from Threadless. Designed by Threadless’ amazing community of artists, each officially licensed Back to the Future t-shirt combines classic elements from the film with the types of pop culture references you’ve come to expect from a Threadless release.

Black & White Edition The Last Knight Vinyl Figure by Andrew Bell

The sixth colorway of Andrew Bell’s killer The Last Knight vinyl figure will be hitting designer toy stores around the globe very soon! Based on the moniker of Bell’s designer toy company Dead Zebra Inc., The Last Knight is a skull-headed zebra in the format of an 8” tall knight chess piece. The figure’s latest colorway is the “Black and White Edition,” which invokes the majestic Zebra in classic black and white with a bone-colored skull. This is hands down The Blot’s favorite edition released so far, as it really screams Dead Zebra to me.

The Black and White Edition The Last Knight stands 8” tall, features an articulated jaw and ears, and is limited to just 200 pieces. Collectors can pick one up at designer toy retailers worldwide for $75 each.

Without a doubt, The Blot’s favorite panel of MondoCon 2 was the Toys and Collectibles Panel hosted by Mondo’s Creative Director of Toys/Collectibles Brock Otterbacher! Not only did we get an in depth look at how Mondo’s amazing collectibles are produced, but we got TONS of sneak peeks of upcoming releases. By far the coolest part of the discussion was the panel walking us fans through the process of the creating of Mondo’s soon to be released Godzilla statue based on the movie poster designed by Phantom City Creative. I was seriously blown away by everything that went into this statue’s creation! But I know that’s not why you’re here…it’s for all the great photos The Blot took from the panel, including tons of never before seen concept art for officially licensed releases from properties like DC Comics, Adventure Time, Legend of Korra and more!
