“Royal Tea” Porcelain Lunartik in a Cup of Tea by Matt Jones

Matt Jones is working on a very special – and delicate – version of his classi Lunartik in a Cup of Tea vinyl figure! He is going to transform Lunartik in a Cup of Tea into an 8” porcelain statue. The entire figure will be 100% porcelain, and you’ll be able to take the Lunartik out of the tea cup (as illustrated in the image above) and use the tea cup as a stash tin for whatever you feel like putting inside. You know, like for loose tea.

The “Royal Tea” Porcelain Lunartik in a Cup of Tea by Matt Jones will be limited to just 50 signed and numbered pieces, and retail for around £160 - £200 per cup. One-Eyed Girl's Five Points Festival 2017 Exclusives!

One-Eyed Girl is heading to the first annual Five Points Festival convention this weekend in New York City where she’ll be releasing some awesome new original resin sculpts and adorable custom figures. First up are these super awesome new Junkfood Friends, which are deliciously silly. One-Eyed Girl will also have five little Hatchies ($90) available. Each baby dragon is a Custom Lunartik Cup of Tea, and there are five to choose from: Water Dragon, Lizard Dragon, Furry Dragon, Alien Dragon and Flying Dragon.

Also debuting at Five Points Festival this weekend is a new batch of yummy Kritters and Kronies! Check out Cuppy Cako, Neapo Litan and Chip Chocko, as well as a few more of their friends. Each candy inspired figure will retail for $50-100 each. The Plastik Surgery Handbook by Matt Jones (aka Lunartik)

Have you ever wondered how to make your very own resin figures!?! Well, thanks to designer Matt Jones (aka Lunartik) now we can all learn how! He’s launched The Plastik Surgery website and handbook, which is an illustrated workshop guide to help you create your own designer art toys.

Written and illustrated by Matt, the guide was written especially for beginners. According to his website, you don’t have to know anything at all about resin casting or the toy industry. All you need to get started is simply an idea and this handbook will show you how to turn that idea into a reality.

At over 20 pages, this guide is packed with tons of useful information and illustrations. Covering all the basics of the “one part” silicone tooling method from start to finish, this book will have you up and running in no time, and you’ll soon be on your way to creating/casting your own custom designer figures!

The Big Licker Vinyl Figure by Lunartik

Meet The Big Licker, the newest creation of UK designer toy artist Matt Jones (aka Lunartik). As Matt explains, “If you ever had help from a system friend... you got a Lick of Love!” This exciting new figure stands 12” long and will be produced in vinyl plastic (roto-casting and injection molding), with a mat grey body and 4 mat finished legs. “Q-Tea II” Lunartik 10th Anniversary Vinyl Figure by Matt JOnes

2015 marks the 10th Anniversary of Matt JOnes’ adorable Lunartik in a Cup of Tea vinyl figure! How crazy is that!?! To celebrate, JOnes is releasing a new Lunartik Mini-Tea “Year of Tea” 10th Anniversary Subscription Series that includes 12 vinyl figures released monthly and the Rare Cherry Chase. Each figure will be limited to just 100 pieces, with any remaining figures released to the public after all subscriptions are filled. The January 2015 release is the Q-Tea II, which is based on Matt’s “QT” design for the TOY2R Design-a-Que Competition in 2004. What’s really cool about the original “QT” design is it helped inspire the Lunartik in a Cup of Tea we all know and love today!
