Star Trek: The Next Generation Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko
In the battle between Star Wars and Star Trek, The Blot’s always been firmly in the Star Wars camp. That being said, I’m a huge fan of Star Trek: The Next Generation! I still consider TNG one of my all-time favorite shows, and watch it whenever I stumble upon a rerun. I love the character development the crew of the starship Enterprise and its many supporting characters had during its seven year run. You just don’t see that on TV anymore. Star Trek: The Next Generation Pop! Series includes Captain Jean-Luc Picard, Will Riker, Data, Geordi La Forge, Worf, Deanna Troi, Picard as Locutus of the Borg, and a Klingon. While I love that Funko went with an 8 figure first wave of ST:TNG figures, but where are the Crushers and Q!?!
Each Star Trek: The Next Generation Pop! vinyl figure stands 3.75”, features one point of articulation and come packaged in a full color displayable window box. While these TNG figures aren’t expected to hit store shelves until March 2015, you can pre-order them now from Entertainment Earth for $9.99 each here.

Toy Review: SDCC 13 Exclusive Star Trek: TNG Wesley Crusher Build-a-Bridge Bobble Head by Bif Bang Pow! & Entertainment Earth
San Diego Comic-Con 2014 is just around the corner, so it’s the perfect time to revisit one of our favorite SDCC exclusives from the past! Thanks to our good friends at Entertainment Earth, The Blot’s gotten his hands on a San Diego Comic-Con 2013 exclusive Star Trek: The Next Generation Wesley Crusher Build-a-Bridge bobble head!!! As you know, I’ve been covering the release of Bif Bang Pow!’s Star Trek: The Next Generation Build-a-Bridge Bobble Head Series for the past year, and the final three figures have just been released.
This 7” Wesley Crusher bobble head connects to the other 7 Build-a-Bridge figures to recreate the bridge of the U.S.S. Enterprise 1701-D from Star Trek: The Next Generation. It’s a pretty ingenious theme that looks fantastic when they’re all displayed together. I really how Bif Bang Pow! was able to accurately recreate the Enterprise’s helm. Now I just need to find some sticker decals for the ship’s control panel. The craftsmanship on this figure is top notch, and the paint application is pretty darn near perfect. You really can’t ask for much more from an officially licensed $19.99 figure, especially when you compare it to similarly priced licensed 7” bobble heads on the market these days.
If there was one complaint I have with this toy it’s the likeness to Wil Wheaton is a little off. It’s not that it doesn’t look like him, it’s just not as spot on as the other bobble heads in this series. Just check out the Riker, LaForge, Worf and Data bobble heads look identical to the actors they are based on. It’s really a minor complaint though when you look at how awesome the whole series is as a whole. And you can’t buy just one without getting them all! It’s the Enterprise’s bridge diorama that makes these figures so much fun.
The San Diego Comic-Con 2013 Exclusive Star Trek: TNG Wesley Crusher Build-a-Bridge Bobble Head by Bif Bang Pow! has a limited edition run size of 2,500 pieces and retails for just $19.99 exclusively at the Entertainment Earth online store. Luckily there are still a few still available so go pick one up today before they’re gone forever. Engage!

SDCC 14 Exclusive Star Trek: TNG “Sherlock Holmes” Data & LaForge Bobble Head Set by Bif Bang Pow!
Bif Bang Pow! continues its popular line of Star Trek: The Next Generation Bobble Heads with this fun San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive 2 piece set based on the iconic TNG episode “Elementary, Dear Data”. If you’re not familiar with the episode, in “Elementary, Dear Data” Data and LaForge were just having some fun on the holodeck when LaForge accidently created a sentient hologram as an opponent to battle wits with Data in the form of Sherlock Holmes’ archenemy, Professor Moriarty!
The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Star Trek: The Next Generation “Sherlock Holmes” Data and LaForge Bobble Head Set by Bif Bang Pow! includes two 7” bobble heads designed, sculpted and painted to replicate the characters’ exact appearance in the show.
