Pinocchio & Disney’s Robin Hood Prints by Mark Chilcott x Bottleneck Gallery

Today, Bottleneck Gallery starts off the week with two new movie posters by artist Mark Chilcott – Pinocchio and Disney’s Robin Hood! As BNG explained, “Mark’s print for Pinocchio, inspired by the recent del Toro retelling, uses the play motif to showcase both the wonderful character and creature designs, while also playing off of the themes from Pinocchio’s journey. Mark’s detailed texture work is impressive, and we love how much life he infused into this piece.”

As for the Robin Hood poster, Bottleneck Gallery had this to say: “Disney’s Robin Hood put a whimsical, anthropomorphized spin on the time-honored story, and decades later, we’re still very stoked on the animated adaptation. Mark’s print features the main cast of players framed in an incredibly ornate design fitting a legendary character and story.” Both prints will go on sale at 12pm ET on Tuesday, January 9th, at BottleneckGallery.com.

Pinocchio by Mark Chilcott is a 16”x24” hand numbered fine art giclee print. The Regular Edition is limited to 75 pieces and will retail for $45, while the Black and White Variant is limited to 50 pieces and will also retail for $45.

Robin Hood by Mark Chilcott is a 16”x24” hand numbered fine art giclee print. There are three colorways of this movie poster: Regular Edition, a Sepia Variant and a Black and White Variant.  Each colorway is limited to just 50 pieces and will retail for $50.

Pinocchio Charity Screen Print by Giulia Del Mastio x Bottleneck Gallery

Bottleneck Gallery is worth with artist Giulia Del Mastio to release this fun Pinocchio movie poster in which 100% of profits from the sale of the print will be donated to the JDRF! As BNG explained, “Speaking of boys and their dreams, Giulia’s print for Guillermo Del Toro’s stunning stop-motion adaptation of Pinocchio explores Pinocchio’s relationship with his father (and creator) and with the powerful forces that help influence his life. Giulia’s art style is wickedly cool, and we’re excited to be able to team up for a charity release. 100% of profits from Giulia’s print will go directly to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund.”

Pinocchio by Giulia Del Mastio is a 24”x36” hand numbered screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 100 pieces and will retail for $50, while the Variant is limited to 50 pieces and will retail for $60. New York Comic Con 2020 may be canceled, but that doesn’t mean the exclusives have been. Yesterday, KAWS shocked his fans around the world with the surprise release of this beautiful KAWS Pinocchio Wood Figure by Medicom Toy and Karimoku. Officially licensed by Disney, this real wood figure measures 15.35” x 7.48” x 7.09”, and comes signed and numbered by the artist. Limited to just 100 pieces, the KAWS Pinocchio Wood Figure was sold exclusively at KawsOne.com for a whopping $8,000 via a lottery system. This super rare, and super expensive, designer art figure is now sold out.

New Johnny Cupcakes Disney T-Shirts!

Earlier this week Johnny Cupcakes had a surprise release of four new Disney themed t-shirts! This exciting new collection included two Toy Story Big Kid designs – “Buddy Big Kid” and “Bakeyear Big Kid” – featuring the Johnny Cupcakes mascot dressed up as Woody and Buzz Lightyear. Small Lie Companion Vinyl Figure by KAWS

Later this week KAWS will be releasing his newest designer vinyl figure online, the Small Lie Companion! This Pinocchio inspired figure features KAWS’ signature creation slumped over with an elongated nose, which The Blot assumes is due to the “small lie” he just told. This limited edition figure will be available in black, grey and brown colorways, and will go on sale at noon EST tomorrow, Tuesday, December 12th, at KawsOne.com. No Strings On Me 8” Dunny by WuzOne x Kidrobot

Kidrobot will be releasing its newest 8” production Dunny next week, and it’s the Pinocchio inspired “No Strings On Me” Dunny by WuzOne! Based on a previously released 3” custom Dunny, the name of this design comes from the lyrics of the classic Disney song “I've Got No Strings” that appeared in the iconic 1940 animated film Pinocchio. For those of you unfamiliar with the Spanish artist, WuzOne draws inspiration from graffiti, typography and cartoons. He has developed an identifiable style known for clean lines, bright colors and high contrast.

The No Strings on Me 8” Dunny by WuzOne, his first production piece from Kidrobot, will go on sale next Friday, August 14th, at Kidrobot.com, both Kidrobot retail locations and select retailers worldwide for $60.

I don’t really understand Astronocchio’s gun accessory, but I love that Bondi throws in an extra little blaster accessory with each colorway! Pinocchio Screen Print by Tom Whalen

Today we get not one, but two new prints from Mondo and Sideshow Collectibles in their Disney Classic Cartoon Series by Tom Whalen. First up is Pinocchio, which also happens to be one of The Blot’s favorite Disney animated feature films. This 1940 cartoon is truly a timeless classic, and Whalen did an amazing job capturing Pinocchio’s youthful exuberance. I also love the composition of this print and subdued color scheme. This is definitely one print that could look awesome one anyone’s walls.

Pinocchio by Tom Whalen is a 24”x36” screen print, it has a limited edition run size of 400 pieces and will retail for $50. This classic Disney movie poster goes on sale at the Mondo online store today, Friday, November 4th, at a random time.

Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures Official Photos

A little birdy (or was it a mouse) sent me this official first look at Funko’s upcoming line of Disney Pop! Vinyl Figures! As you know, The Blot’s been looking forward to this new Pop! Series and I am really excited to debut the toy line’s official line-up. Pop! Disney Wave 1 features Mickey Mouse, Tinkerbell, Snow White, Toy Story’s Woody and Buzz, Monsters Inc.’s Sully and Mike, Pinnochio, Jiminy Cricket, Stitch, and villains Cruella de Vil and Maleficent.

What I really like about Funko’s first wave of Pop! Disney vinyl figures is the huge variety of classic characters and new Pixar favorites included in the series. From Mickey and Snow White, to Stitch and Buzz, almost every era of Disney magic is accounted for. And with Disney’s huge roster of characters, this is one Pop! line that could go on indefinitely!

Pop! Disney Wave 1 includes 12 figures in all and from the looks of the packaging, will be sold exclusively at Disney Stores worldwide. Look for these cute and blocky Disney vinyl figures in a Disney Store near you sometime soon!

First Look: Jiminy Cricket & Cruella de Vil Pop! Disney Vinyl Figure Prototypes by Funko

Still no official word concerning Funko’s upcoming line of Disney Pop! vinyl figures, but thankfully that hasn’t stopped the leaks from coming! Two more Disney Pop! prototypes have hit the internet recently, Pinocchio’s Jiminy Cricket and 101 Dalmatians’ Cruella de Vil. While Jiminy was to be expected (who doesn’t love that cute little singing cricket?), Cruella’s inclusion was a total surprise. Of all of the Disney Pop! prototypes The Blot’s seen so far, Cruella is the toy line’s first villain (but hopefully not its last).

All in all, this marks 10 different Disney characters included in Funko’s new Pop! Disney vinyl figure toy line, and yet we’ve still heard nothing about an actual release date. Hopefully more details will be released soon, as Funko continues to release other new and relatively unannounced Pop! toy lines.

If you love the upcoming Disney x Medicom Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket vinyl figures by Kaws as much as The Blot does, but are unwilling to spend the $300 it might take to get a set, here’s a way to get in on the action at a much lower price. Original Fake is producing a line of Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket t-shirts featuring Kaws’ reimagination of these classic Disney characters.

UPDATED DETAILS: Disney x Medicom Pinocchio & Jiminy Cricket Vinyl Figures by Kaws

When The Blot first heard about the upcoming Disney x Medicom Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket vinyl figures by Kaws I knew I had to have them…that is until I saw the price! Medicom has finally released some details about these awesome looking figures, and it goes a little something like this: the Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket set will be released via Kaws’ Original Fake on August 28, 2010 and retail for somewhere around $210-270. Here’s hoping my Disney contact can hook a brother up!


I have a feeling these Pinocchio and Jiminy Cricket vinyl figures by Kaws will be very hard to get in the US, but The Blot does have a lead! ToyQube will be selling a limited amount of these figures for $265, and will be available sometime soon here.
