Mondo celebrates the 80th anniversary of Disney's Pinocchio, released on February 7, 1940, with a new series of Pinocchio enamel pins by artist Sam Wolfe Connelly! Mondo’s “SNIKT. BAMF. THWIP: A Celebration of Marvel Comics” Online Release Part 1

Last weekend Mondo hosted the opening reception for “SNKIT. BAMF. TWHIP: A Celebration of Marvel Comics”, a gallery show featuring prints and original artwork honoring the rich history of Marvel characters that began over 75 years ago. The exhibit runs through December 19th, with the first batch of screen prints, giclee and pins being released at a random time today, Tuesday, December 15th, at the Mondo online store!

MondoCon Exclusive Black Swan Screen Print by Sam Wolfe Connelly

MondoCon 2015 will be an epic celebration of Darren Aronofsky’s 2010 film Black Swan and Clint Mansell’s fantastic score of the film. Throughout the weekend (October 3-4), Mondo will be releasing the Black Swan soundtrack on vinyl for the very first time! To commemorate this release, MondoCon will be hosting a free afternoon screening of the film on Sunday, October 4th with a discussion of the film's music with Critic and Composer Brian Satterwhite. But that’s not all! Mondo will also be releasing a killer MondoCon exclusive Black Swan screen print by Sam Wolfe Connelly.

Mansell's score for Aronofsky's Black Swan is a unique creature in itself. For the film, Mansell adapted Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky's iconic Swan Lake and deconstructed it into a modern film score for a twisted fairy tale. Purists may cringe at the idea of modifying Tchaikovsky's seminal work, but it honestly resulted in one of the most unique and resonant film scores of the last 10 years, and easily one of the most remarkable examples of music adaptation in film to date.

Black Swan by Sam Wolfe Connelly is a 16”x24” hand numbered screen print limited to just 225 pieces. The Black Swan Original Motion Picture Soundtrack by Clint Mansell is being released as a 2xLP and features artwork by Sam Wolfe Connelly. Disc 1 is pressed on 180 Gram Clear Vinyl with White swirl, while Disc 2 is pressed on 180 Gram Clear Vinyl with Blue and Black Swirl. It will also be available on 2xLP 180 Gram Black Vinyl.
