SDCC 2018 Exclusive Defective Comics #3 & #4 Batman Red Sky Variant Screen Prints by Daniel Danger

Check out these fun exclusives for San Diego Comic-Con 2018 from Daniel Danger – Red Sky Variants of the Defective Comics #3 and #4 that he released earlier this year! Both screen prints feature DC Comics’ Caped Crusader, Batman, lurking over some dead relics of our youth, Toys R Us and Blockbuster Video.

As Daniel Danger explained, “Some number of years ago Olly Moss and myself thought it would be funny to draw Batman standing on unimpressive buildings. We released some goofy mini prints at SDCC of the bat on a jiffy lube and a pizza hut. I drew this solo around that time but never did anything with it, but in the wake of Toys R Us closing I figured I should release it as a fun cheap print for fun and sadness times.”

Each San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Exclusive Defective Comics Red Sky Variant Screen Print measures 18”x24”, features 5 colors, and comes signed and numbered by the artist. Collectors can purchase these two prints as a limited edition set (limited to 50 sets) at Danger’s SDCC booth #1617.

Defective Comics #3 & #4 Batman Screen Prints by Daniel Danger

Way back in 2012, Daniel Danger and Olly Moss released two humorous Batman screen prints at San Diego Comic Con featuring Batman standing ominously on a Pizza Hut and a Jiffy Lube (originally seen here). They named these ridiculous posters “Defective Comics”. Fast forward six years later, and Daniel Danger is revisiting this concept with two new Defective Comics prints! This time DC Comics’ Dark Knight can be seen standing on two important retail chains that are now fading away into pop culture history, Toys R Us and Blockbuster! How great are these new designs!?!

Star Wars: Rogue One The Black Series 6” Action Figures Retailer Exclusives

Force Friday 2016 is here and Hasbro has unveiled a killer line-up of retailer exclusive Star Wars: Rogue One The Black Series 6” action figures! Well this is an exciting development! It turns out the Valiant Comics Minimates 2 Pack I blogged about last week (seen here) was actually a Previews Exclusive Variant Set featuring “Battle Damaged” versions of X-O Manowar and Bloodshot. Now we know Diamond Select Toys' standard edition set will be seeing a much larger release as a Toys R Us Exclusive!  The Blot knew we'd see the release of a helmeted X-O Manowar really soon, but even I didn't think it would come this quickly.

SDCC 14 Exclusive Star Wars Black Series “Cantina Showdown” Action Figure 2 Pack

Now here’s another one of Toys R Us’ San Diego Comic-Con “debut” releases, that will be first released at San Diego Comic-Con 2014 before seeing a wider release exclusively at Toys R Us. It’s a pretty cool release though, so the real winner in all this is the Star Wars fans who can’t make it to SDCC! The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Star Wars Black Series “Cantina Showdown” Play Set recreates one of the most iconic scenes from Episode IV: A New Hope between Han Solo and Greedo. Now say these three words out loud: “Han Shot First!”

The San Diego Comic-Con 2014 Exclusive Star Wars Black Series “Cantina Showdown” Play Set includes highly articulated 6” Black Series action figures of Han Solo and Greedo. Each figure has a holster and a blaster, and Han includes an extra set of hands. The only disappointing part of this set is both figures have previously been released individually. It’d be nice if there was at least 1 figure with a new sculpt or paint scheme. SDCC 14 Exclusive G.I. Joe “Danger at the Docks” Vehicle Set

Now this is the kind of San Diego Comic-Con exclusive that I hate. It’s really more of a SDCC “debut” as the G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero “Danger at the Docks” Vehicle Set will first go on sale at Comic-Con before seeing a wider release exclusively at Toys R Us. Not that “exclusive”, right? Released as part of Hasbro’s G.I. Joe 50th Anniversary line, the “Danger at the Docks” Vehicle Set includes Flint (sporting his original color scheme) with the brown VAMP MK II multi-purpose attack vehicle and a Cobra Eel with the Night Landing raft.
