LOST “The Island National Park” Charity Print by Mark Englert x Bottleneck Gallery

LOST “The Island National Park” Screen Print by Mark Englert x Bottleneck Gallery

Bottleneck Gallery has released the newest entry in artist Mark Englert’s Pop Culture Landmark Series with a design inspired by the landmark television series LOST! As BNG explained, “Mark's taken inspiration from the show and created a brilliant tongue-in-cheek travel poster for the show that's bound to make fans of the show excited.” The Blot’s a sucker for any new LOST artwork, and I absolutely love what Mark has done with this poster!

LOST “The Island National Park” Charity Variant Timed Edition Print by Mark Englert x Bottleneck Gallery

Englert has also created a smaller charity variant of the print in order to help the current relief efforts in Australia. The New South Wales area of Australia has been dealing with absolutely devastating bush fires, which have, among other terrible statistics, killed 480 million animals. Brave firefighters and civilians have been battling the situation, and Bottleneck Gallery would like to contribute monetary help. 100% of the profits from the Charity Print Edition of this LOST print and a portion of profits from the limited edition screen prints will benefit the Kangaroo Island Wildlife Park, which is a wildlife park that helps ensure the safety and care of an immense multitude of animals in the Kangaroo Island area of Australia.

“The Island National Park” by Mark Englert is an 18”x24” hand numbered LOST screen print. The Regular Edition is limited to 300 pieces and retails for $50, while the Variant is limited to 150 pieces and retails for $60. Collectors can purchase a complete set of these two prints for $130. The Charity Variant Edition is an 11”x14” hand numbered timed edition giclee. It is available now through 12pm EST on Friday, January 24th, and retails for just $25 at BottleneckGallery.com.

The Cast of LOST Comes to Houston for Comicpalooza X!

The Cast of LOST Comes to Houston for Comicpalooza X!

Comicpalooza, Texas' largest entertainment and pop culture convention, will be hosting a mini LOST cast reunion when the Houston comic con takes place in three weeks (May 25-27). The Blot knew Comicpalooza had big things in store for their 10th anniversary, but even I wasn’t prepared for this news! If you’ve been reading The Blot Says for a long time then you know what a diehard LOST fan I am. So of course I’m beyond excited to learn that LOST’s Michael Emerson, Henry Ian Cusick, Nestor Carbonell, MC Gainey, and Francois Chau will all be in Houston to meet fans, take photos and sign autographs.

The Cast of LOST Comes to Houston for Comicpalooza X!

Shockingly, through all of The Blot’s many comic con adventures of the past 15+ years, I’ve never actually met any of the hit ABC television show’s core cast members. That changes this month when Ben Linus, Desmond Hume, Richard Alpert, Mr. Friendly and Dr. Pierre Chang come to Texas. It’s practically a who’s who of the Dharma Initiative! And for all you diehard LOSTies out there, there’s even a LOST group photo option that you can purchase here. For $200 you can take a group photo with all five actors from the iconic series.

Comicpalooza 2018 takes place May 25-27 at the George R. Brown Convention Center in Houston, Texas. VIP passes and weekend passes, along with photo ops and autograph tickets, are all available now at Comicpalooza.com!

LOST Pop! Vinyl Figures by Funko

LOST Pop! Vinyl Figures Wave 1 by Funko - Jack Shephard, Kate Austen, James “Sawyer” Ford, John Locke & Hugo “Hurley” Reyes

The Blot can’t believe it! Ever since Funko launched its POP! toy line back in 2010 I have been clamoring for a wave of LOST Pop! figures. Although Funko has been teasing the release of LOST Pop! figures for over a year, I honestly thought it might never happen. But check out the world’s first look at Funko’s upcoming LOST Pop! Series!!! The first wave of figures will include Jack Shephard, Kate Austen, James “Sawyer” Ford, John Locke, Hugo “Hurley” Reyes, Jacob and the Man in Black.

LOST Pop! Vinyl Figures Wave 1 by Funko - Jacob

LOST Pop! Vinyl Figures Wave 1 by Funko - Man in Black

It’s very, very odd that Funko would include both Jacob and the Man in Black in their first wave of LOST Pop! figures (where’s Jin and Sun?), but beggars can’t be choosers! Heck I'm just glad ABC agreed to grant a license to Funko. Each LOST Pop! Television vinyl figure stands 3.75” tall, features one point of articulation and comes packaged in a full color displayable window box. Collectors can pre-order all seven LOST figures now at Entertainment Earth for $10.99 each here.

The Blot is super excited to share the news that one week from today the Cancer Gets LOST charity auction returns!!! Jo Garfein, one of The Blot’s favorite bloggers and fellow LOSTie, has been working hard on this amazing charity's third auction for over two years now. As Jo explains, “When we created Cancer Gets LOST back in 2010, vaguely discussing the possibility of hosting future charity auctions, we daydreamed about doing so on the perfect date (8.15.16 – three LOST Numbers in a row) if our little grassroots charitable endeavor were to take off.”

Cancer Gets Lost has once again partnered with Blacksparrow Inc. to host an online charity auction of one-of-a-kind entertainment memorabilia and pop culture collectibles. Open from August 15th until September 3rd, 100% of the net proceeds from the CGL charity auction will be donated to Alex’s Lemonade Stand Foundation for Childhood Cancer.

The Cancer Gets LOST Charity Auction Returns on 08.15.16

The CGL charity auction features over 450 rare and signed items from 60 television shows and 18 films! Many of the items were kindly donated by supporters of Cancer Get Lost, including Damon Lindelof, Javier Grillo-Marxuach, Jorge Garcia, The 100, Stephen Amell, and CGL’s numerous generous donors! One of the many auction highlights is the Star Wars: The Force Awakens Script Read-Through Photo signed by J.J. Abrams, Bryan Burk and five cast members! Another amazing item in the CGL charity auction is The Walking Dead Season 3 Special Edition zombie head tank blu-ray set signed by 26 cast members!

LOST “Fictional Food” Screen Prints by Joshua Budich

LOST “You Want To Change, Then Change” Screen Print by Joshua Budich

This past Friday Gallery 1988 (West) hosted the opening reception for Joshua Budich’s fantastic solo show, Fictional Food! The Blot seriously loves this affordable collection of limited edition prints inspired by food from television and movies. Budich has come up with so many ingenious designs, but my absolute favorite pieces from Fictional Food are the two LOST inspired prints. How in the world both are still available I will never understand! Who wouldn’t want a colorful print of Hurley holding one of his most prized possessions from the island, a Dharma Initiative supplied giant tub of ranch!?!

LOST “You Are Terrible At This, Freckles” Screen Print by Joshua Budich

“You Want To Change, Then Change” by Joshua Budich is an 18”x24” signed and numbered 6 color (including metallic silver ink) LOST screen print featuring Jorge Garcia’s Hurley. It’s limited to just 50 pieces and retails for $40. Budich’s other LOST print, “You Are Terrible At This, Freckles”, is a 6”x6” signed and numbered 6 color (including metallic silver ink) screen print and features official Dharma Initiative box wine. This print is also limited to just 50 pieces and retails for only $10. Both prints – and many more from the show – are currently available for purchase at the Gallery 1988 online store.

LOST 10th Anniversary Reunion at PaleyFest 2014 Screen Print by Phantom City Creative

LOST 10th Anniversary Reunion at PaleyFest 2014 Screen Print by Phantom City Creative

It’s hard to believe it’s been almost 10 years since LOST originally premiered on ABC. The Blot was and probably always will be obsessed with this landmark television show. So it pains me to miss this Sunday’s 10th Anniversary Reunion of the LOST pilot at PaleyFest 2014. Damon Lindelof, Carlton Cuse and a bunch of actors from the series will all be on hand for the event! Rumor has it even Paul Scheer will be there. Plus, Gallery1988 has teamed up with the Paley Center for Media to produce this beautiful screen print by Justin Erickson of Phantom City Creative to commemorate the reunion. How awesome is that! Now who’s picking one up for me!?!

The LOST 10th Anniversary Reunion PaleyFest 2014 Screen Print by Phantom City Creative measures 24”x18” and is limited to just 200 pieces. This epic print will retail for just $30 at the event this Sunday, March 16th, with any remaining stock going up for sale at the Gallery1988 online store the next day (Monday, March 17th).

“Didn’t Stick the Landing” LOST Screen Print by Tim Doyle

Spoke Art presents UnReal Estate III by Tim Doyle - “Didn’t Stick the Landing” Standard Edition LOST Screen Print

This Thursday Spoke Art is welcoming back Austin artist Tim Doyle for his third solo exhibition with the gallery, and the latest installment in his ongoing “UnReal Estate” series. Inspired by the popular culture landscape, quite literally, Doyle re-interprets the iconic settings found in contemporary cult television. The Blot was blown away by Doyle’s first two “UnReal Estate” shows, and I’m super excited about his new crop of screen prints. So excited, we’ll be featuring a different print each day until the show opens on Thursday, February 6th, at Spoke Art in San Francisco.

Spoke Art presents UnReal Estate III by Tim Doyle - “Didn’t Stick the Landing” Variant LOST Screen Print

To kick things off, Tim takes all back to the island with “Didn’t Stick the Landing”, an exciting print inspired by the hit ABC television show LOST! In the image, a still in shock Jack looks over the wreckage of Oceanic flight #815. This an 18"x24" screen print. The Standard Edition has a limited edition run size of 150 pieces, while the Variant is limited to just 50 pieces.

All of the limited edition screen prints from Unreal Estate III will first be available to attendees of the February 6th opening reception, with all remaining copies available online at the Spoke Art online store starting Friday, February 7th. The first 100 attendees to the opening reception will receive a limited edition silkscreen print, only available at the show, and included with online purchases of the full set of 11 regular edition prints. This exhibition will be on view until February 22nd.

The Bad Robot Art Experience presented by Gallery 1988

Gallery 1988 presents The Bad Robot Art Experience

Gallery 1988, in conjunction with J.J. Abrams and his production company Bad Robot, is hosting an epic new group art show entitled the Bad Robot Art Experience! Each piece by a super talented roster of artists is inspired by the many works of the Bad Robot production company (and Abrams himself).  There will be paintings, prints, sculptures and plush figures which pay tribute to such TV shows and movies as Alias, Fringe, LOST, Person of Interest, Cloverfield, Super 8, Star Trek and so much more!

Gallery 1988 presents The Bad Robot Art Experience - LOST Screen Print by Joshua Budich

Personally The Blot is in love with this LOST screen print by Joshua Budich. He absolutely killed it with this amazing image! I’m lucky enough to own Budich’s first LOST print, but this one is definitely a must get as well. So far Gallery 1988 has only unveiled four pieces from their upcoming show, Budich’s LOST print, a Fringe inspired piece by Nan Lawson, a Cloverfield inspired piece by Eelus, and a Star Trek inspired piece by Bruce White.

“Oceanic Airlines” LOST Screen Print by Nate Duval

“Oceanic Airlines” LOST Screen Print by Nate Duval

Thanks to fellow LOST fan (and super talented artist) Nate Duval we can all go back to the island this weekend! That’s because for his piece in this weekend’s “Product Placement” screen print group art show at Gallery 1988, Nate went with a LOST themed advertisement for Oceanic Airlines. "Product Placement" features limited edition pieces that advertise and celebrate objects from movies and TV shows that don't actually exist in real life. Sounds like an epic show, and The Blot seriously loves this Nate’s piece! It was pretty much an instant buy the minute I heard about it.

Gallery1988 presents “Product Placement: Screenprints Of Your Favorite Products That Don't Exist”

If you’re in the LA area “Product Placement” opens this Saturday night, March 9th, from 7-10pm at Gallery 1988’s new location, G1988 (East) at 7021 Melrose. Any remaining “Oceanic Airlines” prints will be sold through the Gallery 1988 online store and a limited amount of artist proofs will be available through Nate Duval’s online store.

Cancer Gets LOST Charity Auction - Bid Today!

Cancer Gets LOST Non-Profit Charity Event

Yesterday, a really awesome non-profit charity auction went live entitled Cancer Gets LOST, and The Blot implores you to check it out and get involved! Cancer Gets LOST is so much more than just a charity auction though; it is also a webcast and party all to benefit the National Brain Tumor Society. Cancer Gets LOST co-creators Jared (@agentbacardi) and Jo (@jopinionated) are producing and hosting a live webcast in Los Angeles on August 25 with LOST alum (cast and creative), coinciding with the online auction of LOST and TV/film memorabilia, props and autographed items. Bidding on these incredible items went live yesterday, August 15th, and are scheduled to end on Wednesday, August 29th.

Cancer Gets LOST Non-Profit Charity Auction

There were some amazing items donated for this great cause including LOST Be@rbricks and Kubricks, screen prints from Gallery1988’s LOST ARG print series, actual props from the television show and so much more! 100% of all proceeds from the auction, webcast and party will go directly to the Natioanl Brain Tumor Society, a charity selected in honor of Jo’s dear friend Jackie O, who passed away on August 3, 2012 after fighting brain tumors and cancer with great spirit for four years. This is such a great event and I hope everyone can help us tell cancer to get LOST!

J.J. Abrams' Alcatraz Premieres Tonight!

Alcatraz One Sheet Television Poster - Sarah Jones, Jorge Garcia & Sam Neill

As a diehard LOST fan, The Blot has been ready to start watching Alcatraz ever since it got the green light from FOX last year. Produced by J.J. Abrams, directed by Jack Bender and starring Jorge Garcia, everything about this show says “Must See TV” to me. As FOX explains, Alcatraz is a “thrilling new series that follows a unique trio investigating the mystifying reappearance of 302 of Alcatraz’s most notorious prisoners and guards 50 years after they vanished.” Admit it, that one sentence synopsis sounds pretty good doesn’t it? Some thought ABC’s Once Upon A Time would be LOST’s heir apparent, but to me Alcatraz has always held that title. I just can’t figure out why FOX kept this awesome television show on hold until mid-season!

Alcatraz One Sheet Television Poster

Catch the 2 hour series premiere of Alcatraz tonight, Monday, January 16th, at 8/7c on FOX! Alcatraz stars Sarah Jones as Det. Rebecca Madsen, Jorge Garcia as Dr. Diego Soto, Sam Neill as Emerson Hauser, Parminder Nagra (of ER!) as Lucy Banerjee; Robert Forster as Ray Archer, Santiago Cabrera as Jimmy Dickens, Jonny Coyne as Warden Edwin James and Jason Butler Harner as Deputy Warden E.B. Tiller. You can also listen to the new Diego’s Soule Patch: An Alcatraz Podcast by Jorge Garcia and Bethany Shady on iTunes (I know I will be)!

Alcatraz Official Synopsis: When San Francisco Police Department Detective Rebecca Madsen (Sarah Jones) is assigned to a grisly homicide case, a fingerprint leads her to a seemingly impossible suspect: Jack Sylvane (guest star Jeffrey Pierce), an Alcatraz inmate who died over 30 years ago. Given her family history – both her grandfather and surrogate uncle, Ray Archer (Robert Forster), were guards at the prison – Madsen’s interest is immediately piqued. When the enigmatic, knows-everything-but-tells-nothing government agent Emerson Hauser (Sam Neill) tries to impede her investigation, she becomes doggedly committed to it.

Madsen finds herself working with an unlikely partner, Alcatraz expert and comic book enthusiast Dr. Diego “Doc” Soto (Jorge Garcia), to help piece together the inexplicable sequence of events. The two discover that Sylvane is not only alive, but he’s loose on the streets of San Francisco, exacting decades-old revenge and leaving bodies in his wake. And strangely, he hasn’t aged a day since 1963, when Alcatraz was ruled by the iron-fisted Warden Edwin James (Jonny Coyne) and the sadistic Associate Warden E.B. Tiller (Jason Butler Harner).

Detective Madsen and Soto must team with Hauser and his associate, Lucy Banerjee (Parminder Nagra), to stop Sylvane’s vengeful killing spree. By delving into Alcatraz history, government cover-ups and Rebecca’s own heritage, the team will ultimately discover that Sylvane is only a small part of a much larger, more sinister present-day threat. Because even though he may be the first, it quickly becomes clear that Sylvane won’t be the last to reappear from Alcatraz.

SDCC 2011 Exclusive Dharma Polar Bear LOST Bobble Head

San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Entertainment Earth Exclusive LOST Dharma Initiative Polar Bear Bobble Head by Bif Bang Pow!

Yesterday, Entertainment Earth announced Bif Bang Pow!’s San Diego Comic-Con 2011 Exclusive LOST Bobble Head will be the Dharma Polar! How crazy is that!?! Deftly crafted out of resin, this sensational Dharma Polar Bear bobble head stands 5.5” long x 4.25” tall x 2 .5” wide, and features superb show accurate details. Wearing a Dharma Initiative collar, this “killer” bobble head stands ready to strike on a base featuring a cage wall and a fish biscuit. I mean come on, the fish biscuit alone makes this a can’t miss SDCC exclusive!

It’s hard to believe it’s been 2 whole years since Bif Bang Pow! released its very first LOST bobble head at San Diego Comic-Con 2009. Where has the time gone!?! Sadly, this will be the toy company’s 12th and final LOST bobble head. I was really bummed to learn this will be the company’s last LOST release, but at least the line is going out with a bang! It’ll be interesting to see if anyone else picks up the show’s license.

If you’re planning to attend SDCC 2011, be sure to stop by the Entertainment Earth booth to pick up the LOST Dharma Initiative Polar Bear Bobble Head by Bif Bang Pow! For the rest of us, you can pre-order one here from EntertainmentEarth.com for $14.99. The resin figure won’t ship until August 2011, but it’ll definitely be worth the wait.

LOST Miles Straume & Claire Littleton 8” Mego Style Action Figures

LOST Miles Straume & Claire Littleton 8 Inch Mego Style Action Figures by Big Bang Pow!

If you haven’t heard the great news yet, let The Blot be the first to tell you: Bif Bang Pow! has officially announced it will be producing all 6 LOST Mego style action figures previously solicited as Wave 3. There had been some concern that Jack, Sayid, Sawyer, Juliet and the two figures pictured above, Miles and Claire, would not be produced after all. But due to the overwhelming support of LOST fans worldwide, these last 6 figures will see the light (of day)! Each character will have a limited edition run size of 1,000 pieces and come individually numbered for collectors.

The third LOST Series 3 set includes "Frighter Folk" Miles Straume and Season 1 "The Caves" Claire Littleton. Both LOST Mego style action figures feature fabric clothing and multiple points of articulation, making these 8 inch Miles and Claire action figures incredibly lifelike. The figures come individually packaged, but can be pre-ordered as a set for $37.99 from Entertainment Earth here. Wave 3 will make its debut at San Diego Comic-Con 2011, but are not SDCC exclusives and will ship worldwide shortly thereafter.

EW Cover Story “Life After LOST”

Entertainment Weekly Issue #1146 LOST Cover - March 18, 2011 - “Life After LOST”

The Blot had a really pleasant surprise waiting for him in his mailbox last weekend, the newest issue of Entertainment Weekly with a LOST cover story! Almost 1 year after the show’s series finale aired on ABC, EW interviewed the cast to examine what “Life After LOST” meant to them. While I loved the fact that EW unexpectedly released an all new LOST cover, I thought the article itself was pretty lacking (especially for a cover story). In fact, besides a few quotes most of the information in the article is old news, especially to LOST’s hardcore fandom who get all of their information from this thing I like to call “the internet.” Nevertheless, while I was disappointed in the article I’ll take a bad LOST cover story any day of the week. At the end of the day, so long as the stars of LOST are still gracing the covers of major weekly magazines it means the show is still relevant in the ever changing world of pop culture.

LOST James “Sawyer” Ford & Juliet Burke 8" Mego Style Action Figures

The Blot’s been putting off blogging about Series 3 of Bif Bang Pow!’s line of mego-style 8” LOST action figures for a while now. Why you might ask? Because I’ve been waiting for final pictures of the new figures’ head sculpts. Series 1 and 2 turned out so poorly I wanted to see how Big Bang Pow! corrected things, and it looks like not all that well. It’s such a disappointment too, because their LOST bobble heads are awesome and the idea of LOST Mego style figures had me really excited.

LOST James 'Sawyer' Ford & Juliet Burke 8 Inch Mego Style Action Figures by Big Bang Pow!

The first LOST Series 3 set includes Dharma Security James “Sawyer” Ford and 1970’s Juliet Burke. These two figures are scheduled to come out in July 2011, but I’ve been told if presales aren’t stronger Series 3 may not go into production. So if you love LOST and enjoy these Mego style figures, head over to Entertainment Earth and pre-order them today!

"Not Penny’s Boat" LOST T-Shirt by JuiceBox Clothing

“Not Penny’s Boat” LOST T-Shirt by JuiceBox Clothing

The Blot has to thank fellow die-hard LOST fan ANDALONE for introducing me to New York clothing company JuiceBox and their “Not Penny’s BoatLOST t-shirt. I really like what I’ve seen from JuiceBox Clothing so far and I think their JuiceBox logo, which is incorporated in most of their designs, is pretty cool. It really takes me back to my juice box days in elementary school!

“Not Penny’s Boat” LOST T-Shirt by JuiceBox Clothing

As for “Not Penny’s Boat,” the t-shirt features my all time favorite scenes in LOST: Charlie’s last heroic act to warn his fellow castaways that the boat they’re trying to hail is not Penny’s boat. Printed on a light blue t-shirt, “Not Penny’s Boat” features a cool illustration of Dominic Monaghan as Charlie Pace on the front and a JuiceBox Dharma Initiative station logo on the left shoulder.

Not Penny’s Boat” by JuiceBox Clothing retails for just $20, comes in sizes XS-XXL and can be purchased here directly from the JuiceBox online store. Best of all, LOST fans can use the coupon code “fuckyeah” for 20% off! Thanks to FUCKYEAHLOST.com for the coupon code.

LOST Final Season Screen Print by Ty Mattson

Inspired by the final season of LOST, Ty Mattson has created an all new screen print which features a single icon for each episode of Season 6. It’s a pretty cool concept, and one that will definitely appeal to diehard LOST fans. Which icon is your favorite? Personally, I think Lennon’s glasses with one solitary tear is the most creative, but my favorite is the wine bottle with the Smoke Monster inside.

LOST Final Season Screen Print by Ty Mattson

Originally Mattson was only going to release 100 signed and numbered LOST Final Season screen prints, but after Damon Lindelof tweeted about this release those 100 prints sold out in no time flat. So now Mattson has decided to release a second run of 50 prints, which are currently still available!

Each LOST Final Season 18”x24" screen print features a double hit of white ink on super thick 100lb. French Black Licorice paper. The LOST Final Season screen print by Ty Mattson can be purchased here for $39.99 (while supplies last).

Dr. Leslie Arzt LOST Bobble Head

The fourth and final all new LOST bobble head by Bif Bang Pow! is the bumbling high school science teacher Dr. Leslie Arzt. While LOST fans always loved an Arzt appearance, alas this survivor of Oceanic Flight 815 was not long for the island. Depicted here just moments before his unfortunate explosion, Arzt is shown carrying the dynamite from the Black Rock ship that would lead to his ultimate demise.

Dr. Leslie Arzt LOST 7 Inch Bobble Head by Bif Bang Pow

The Leslie Arzt LOST bobble head is made out of resin and stands 7" tall. While the bobble head won’t ship until June 2011, it is available for pre-order here from EntertainmentEarth.com right now for $12.99.

The Blot is pretty sure when news leaked of an all new Desmond LOST bobble head was about to be released LOST fans around the world got very, very excited. The show’s popular time traveling Scotsman is depected here in bobble head form wearing a traditional Dharma Initiative jumpsuit while typing in the numbers to that dreaded computer from the Swan Station.
